My stay was average. The room was clean and look like the pics online which was great. Dining staff were friendly but not front desk. Plus I used the cup and spoon in the room and it was never washed or removed. The stain was still present on both item. Another time house keeping came inside my room without knocking or acknowledging themselves, not cool.

Room was really nice and clean, bathroom was fab, especially the shower.
The staff were friendly and efficient, the spa was nice, the breakfast was lovely.
However, the noise of the music from the hotel nightclub was unbelievable! It went on until 3-4 in the morning and was so loud. It resonates through the whole building and if you want a decent night's sleep, think very hard about this hotel. Real shame as with the ridiculous music going on, this would be a 5 star review.

The staff at H Hotel were friendly and helpful, and we’d especially like to thank Khyam, who went out of his way to assist us with the issues we experienced. Unfortunately, we did face ongoing problems with some of the amenities, which meant we had to move rooms multiple times. This was quite disappointing and affected our overall stay.

Overall the highlight of this hotel is respectful staff and the proximity to nearby events and lively area in St Julien’s. The downside is the noise pollution is very unavoidable and can be difficult to manage for stays greater than a couple days.

I would advise that this is not a “romantic” hotel, and you will be exposed to noise pollution till roughly 4 AM local time daily. This is because H hotel is above a few clubs, so rooms with balconies (without sea-view) are directly above loud speakers that bounce off of the walls and go into the H hotel floors. The rooms and windows are not soundproofed, so although you will get relief around 0400 from the clubs and party speakers outside - you will also hear drunken people retuning and making lots of noise throughout the night.

I attempted to switch my room during my booking from Dec 28-3 Jan and was successful after 3 days of attempts on 1 Jan after more guests checked out. I am hoping moving to the alternate side of the building will allow better rest as I have been unable to sleep well for the majority of the trip despite 32db ear plugs combined with noise cancelling headphones.

I would recommend this hotel to younger folks who are comfortable with all-nighters and heavy sleepers.

Some other points:
-concerning I haven’t seen the dry or wet saunas cleaned in the “Spa”, the wet sauna looks like it has scum and dirt, and the grout is yellow and dirty
-the coffee makers are very low quality, we had to have it replaced twice

The rhotel and rooms were neat and clean.English Breakfast was tasty and sumptous. The staff was very courteous especially after we requested night reception staff Salman to change our room due to the noise from the clubs. As we had checked in at 1am there were no rooms available to change. Next day morning the Manager Ahmar moved us to a better room on the other side and away from the noise from the clubs.

I was really disappointed with the H hotel, firstly I booked a suite with hot tub, nothing worked. The hot tub never worked the curtains didn't worked the doors didn't lock the room wasn't clean, the hallways needed a deep clean the breakfast restaurant area was dirty and tables were not wiped down after each resident in some area, the toilets needed regular cleaning in that area as well. I asked for a decaf latte I was ignored. The food was not nice at all and not much choices for vegan and fresh juice is not fresh juice more like concentrate. My room did get changed after this first day as they said they knew the room had issues but had no more rooms. I was offered a champagne but that really was not good enough, no refund on money. They changed to another room on the 9th Floor the following day which was okay, the downfall was that floor had a dreadful smell. The smell knocked you back for sure and the hot tub water is yellow and the one on the balcony not sure if the water had been changed, did not want to chance it as that looked like it had already been used by someone else and not clean. Basit at Reception is good. So sad the property let me down. Paid for breakfast but some days could not stomach eating in the unclean environment. Honestly there are better hotels, don't be fooled, this one is not worth it other than location.

The rooms on the side of the club street were too noisy. Music played until 4am in the morning. It's impossible to sleep.
I had to upgrade my room to the other side facing the sea. It's much nicer but more expensive for sure.
I like the ceiling mirror in general in the room. That's the best part.
Spa and rooftop swimming pool was not bad either.

We had a fab stay at H Hotel. The staff were very helpful. The room was beautiful, though I was disappointed initially to realise that we had an \"inside\" room, with no view, however, it was lovely and peaceful at night, so we both had the best sleep! The spa is lovely. We didn't eat at the hotel as we prefer to wander around to see what's available, but with Hugo, there's loads of choice around the hotel.

Really bad and unprofessional staff. Check-in took 1 hour, and checkout took 30 minutes of waiting.

Very unprofessional staff.

Room was horrible, safe didn’t work, dirty table and bed.

We booked hotel because of the indoor pool and it didn’t work our entire stay. We checked with staff and everyday they told us that „today it will work” - but it didn’t work.

Entire hotel has smelling bad.

Really disappointing stay.

The room was absolutely incredible! Hot tub was clean and nice whilst looking out to the beach. I couldnt fault a single thing with the room. Its was spotless and so quiet considering your right next to the loudest street in malta. My only issues i had with the hotel was the elevator was an absolute nightmare. Seemed to be waiting around for it to come. Once we waited that long, i took the stairs. The lobby had a lot of broken display items that just cheapen the hotel. If these where sorted i would happily say five stars all round!

Unfortunately nothing like the photos. Perfectly located for all the pubs but the balcony doors don't shut tight so you can hear all the outside music and commotion until the early hours. A couple of issues in the room which we raised, weren't dealt with very well, some not at all. Some staff were very rude and unhelpful, however there were some exceptional staff. The downstairs pool is very run down and smelly. The upstairs pool has sharp bits where tiles are missing and the view is unfortunately ruined by building works in the distance. Would not rate the standard of service received, nor the facilities as anything more than a 3 star.

Air conditioning was poor. Reported to reception, and maintenance guy supposedly sorted it, saying it was doors not closed properly. However, it was never cool despite having the door closed all the time, leaving a key in to ensure the room didn’t suffer from heating during the day, and also checking that we could hear it on all the time. Room was just way too warm. All of the public spaces also too warm/no air con. One of the 2 lifts out of action on several occasions leading to longer queues for the lifts. Also, the electric curtains retracted by themselves, and then didn’t work. Our hot tub was in my opinion a little smelly, likely the water had not been changed regularly enough, or not the correct water treatment levels, which I suspect could be a potential health hazard (I have a hot tub at home and recognise the smell and slimy feel when the water is not looked after). Cleaning of the room was disappointing as on the first day, the cleaner didn’t come until around 5pm when we had already returned to the room. On the remaining days, the floor was not mopped, and the bath was not cleaned. Very dissatisfying after spending a lot of money on what should have been a luxurious stay.

The accommodation was ok with a couple bits of discrepancies. Breakfast was my favourite part. Apart from the strip being loud and noisy, the hotel hosted an event every night we were there which made things worse. We had to battle to use the lift because persons attending the events on the roof.

This property was an absolute mess of a stay. From the moment my girlfriend and I checked in, the AC was not working despite it being at least 30 degrees in the summer, the waterfall on the pool did not work, and there was broken glass in the pool area that was previously left behind. The water also completely shut off and when turned back on a few hours later, made the room and water smell like sewage for the next few days. Despite the staff being friendly, none of their solutions really make up for what we had to deal with. We decided to splurge and book the signature pool suite and we were left completely disappointed. We definitely expected a much much higher level of competence and luxury for the price point and it was truly not worth it. Whatever you read about St. Julian’s does not even begin to describe how terrible of an area it is with the constant loud noise, drivers non-stop honking in stand-still traffic, and music going on until 3-4 am in the morning. This is also the first hotel we’ve ever stayed in that required you to stay after check out while they inspected the room to make sure it was not trashed. A testament to the type of people that often occupy the hotel. Do yourself a favour and stay in one of the many better parts of Malta.

Gr8 Location for Nightlife on Bar Street!

Positives: nice view from room, comfy bed, spa & wellness, nice lobby, right next to the Bar Street so a good option for young party goers

Negatives: my room smelt of cigarette cigarette smoke and it triggered my asthma, the outdoor pool was closed even though the weather was nice & others told me that their hotels had the pool open for use, the room could have been cleaner after close inspections, I was on floor 8 and I could still hear booming music from the nightclubs by it up until 04.00 am daily- great hotel for young party people to enjoy the nightlife but not a place for older people or families because of the noise and the location

The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the room was spacious. However, we were given a room overlooking the back of house, with tens of gas cylinders in sight, noisy staff on their break and a lot of loud noise coming from moving gas cylinders. Our jacuzzi in the room was leaking water and needed maintenance the minute we started using it. On a good note, maintenance guys were quick to fix and polite in their manners.
The spa is nice, however there were some facilities which were out of order for the duration of our stay.

Where to start?
-room wasn’t cleaned one day, when staff confronted they refused to even give clean towels. ‘Can’t help housekeeping have gone home’
-‘clean’ towels smelled like vinegar
-sink in bathroom was leaking. They claimed to fix it and just left a few towels on the floor
-‘all day dining’ room service actually finishes at 11pm
-whole place is run down. Various features in the room weren’t working properly and letters falling off signs etc
-staff unhelpful at all times. They even put the phone down on me and then refused to pick up when I called back, had to go down to reception to speak to them. Not as though I was being rude either
-extremely noisy area. Can’t listen to your own music or hear anyone speak on the balcony in the evenings. Can even hear a bass line indoors overnight coming from neighbouring bars until the early morning
-rooftop pool is small and barely any room for hotel guests (given they let non residents in too)
-no apology or acknowledgment from staff of any of the issues mentioned

Dont stay here - it will ruin your holiday!

Booked the signature corner suite for a hot tub outside & it was broken due to an ongoing issue with the electric mains. This rooms also comes with a jacuzzi inside the room which again was faulty. All in all if you book these kind of rooms that are expensive you would hope the facilities would work & more importantly what you pay for. Can’t recommend a positive as didn’t get what I was paid for I’m afraid. Awaiting to hear from Hugo Hotel their response as this was all booked for our anniversary & ended up just being unhappy with this Hotel so won’t return.

No good if you’re over 25….

Gone down hill massively. Hotel care more about the day guests and getting money out of you than making sure you have a nice stay. Consistently treated like school kids who have done something wrong. The area being so lively doesn’t help but when that’s not the holiday you are having it does feel like you’re an inconvenience. Hosted parties everybody we were there which was loud and chaotic. Rooms aren’t sound proof so can gear outside noise until 4am…. Shane really as it used to be a nice place. Priorities are now all wrong, would not return

my boyfriend and i spent 6 nights at H hotel,
we had a great stay and the staff were friendly and helpful, for our first couple nights the indoor pool was shut for cleaning which we were disappointed about and spoke to a gentleman and he was extremely helpful and apologetic and gave us €50 voucher to spend at the hotel.

something to be aware of is if you like privacy while using the bathrooms the doors are made of foggy glass and it’s quite easy to see through. the door also doesn’t shut all the way so we had to use a towel to keep the door shut.

at night the surrounding clubs in paceville are very loud and noisy but there are 2 balcony doors which made it completely soundproof

over all i will still defo give 5 stars. we had a fantastic time

Our stay was quiet boring!

They only have pubs and fast foods around (Burgers & chips daily)
Including breakfast with you booking is highly recommended otherwise you’ll starve the day.

You have to pay €15 per person to go to the nearby beach as it belongs to intercontinental hotel.

We stayed in hotel for two nights. Hotel itself looks beautiful, but there are few flaws. Firstly, hotel is right next to busy club street, literally 5 seconds walk. Parties until 4am, which is convenient if you there to party, but a bit loud and dodgy with all people loitering outside hotel. WIFI was terrible, music on TV was not playing, when we asked to check it, the IT guy who came to see what’s the problem, just said “TV is old, nothing we can do about it”. So basically just bring your own speaker. SPA is a nice touch, but when we were there, steam room and sauna were not hot at all, I am not sure why, we tried to ask about it, but no one could give any answer. Inside pool is mixed with jacuzzi, where jacuzzi doesn’t actually work at all, water however is jacuzzi temperature which means very warm, so that was ok. Walls in the inside pool are mouldy which is off putting. Rooftop terrace was nice, but we were unlucky with weather so didn’t use it, but defo go there, it’s really nice. Overall, for the purpose of our visit, I should have chosen different hotel, but it was okay.

The hotel itself was stylish but the quality was poor. Service was poor, had to keep asking almost everyday to get room cleaned. No towels left in the room after cleaning. Hot tub dirty on arrival, after use had to keep asking to be cleaned. Although tea and coffee were supposed to be complimentary day two none was supplied and when asked with yet another call to reception only coffee was supplied and no tea for the rest of the stay.. anyways the coffee machine was broken. The Hot Tub we only used as a bath as the jacuzzi function was super loud, they came to fix it as it was broken but still didn't make a difference, we couldn't hear each other talk so we didn't use it having booked the room for that facility. Shower kept flooding over the tray. Air con broke then randomly cold. The brand of H Hotel communicates luxury and style but apart from the beautiful façade the quality was just poor. You could get better quality toilet paper in public toilets!! Little things matter when you are portraying a top brand!

Usually I wouldn’t leave a review for a hotel. I guess because I’ve never been that impressed by hotels in the past but I felt the need to leave a review for the H hotel St Julian’s.

From the beginning of checking in, all was very good service, Efficient and professional.
Sadly, our room wasn’t what we expected. I won’t bother going into details as it’s irrelevant, what what is relevant is how swiftly the hotel staff ensured we was seen to, our room changed and two very happy guests that quickly forgot the negative impact our first night had.

Breakfast, wow.. incredible! Such good choices, high quality foods with excellent service again.

This hotel is amazing, the little touches, the cleanliness and the service just impeccable.
The hotel would excel internationally and probably teach a few well know brands a lesson or two!

Thank you for a wonderful stay H hotel.

I booked this hotel solely for the infinity pool which was closed during my stay which was disappointing as it was advertised as open and it was 20c plus during my entire trip. The heat/ ac was broken therefore the rooms were super hot even when you had the beat turned off. I talked to reception about it but they said there was nothing they could could do. I had the window open 24/7 but my room
Was facing inwards so the noise/ echo’s from the other rooms also facing inward was so loud. A couple were parting until 2am and it was impossible to get sleep. Disappointed overall as I’d have chosen a hotel that was a different vibe had I know the pool would be closed and the rooms would be sweltering.

I Will Never Stay At This Hotel Again

I would never stay here again.

The air conditioning showed 17C but was actually near 13C. Making it cold and uncomfortable. Controls in the room made no difference.

Staff at Reception told me it was set like this for entire hotel. And nothing I / he could do to change it.

Soap in the shower not refilled so ran out. One day our if 3 towels replaced with inferior quality towels.

Nobody replaced the free teabags. Asked woman at Reception. She promised to have them delivered to my room. Not delivered.

My partner deeply unhappy with all of this. Ruined our stay.

Have stayed here several times and always had a good experience. This time was not great due to the room temperature being set at 17degrees. We were told the whole floor is set to that but they would switch our room off which would bring up the temperature. It didn’t make much difference at all, so the room was far too cold to be comfortable. We stayed at the Boutique the night before and that was individual room heating and was so much better.

I check-in to a hotel every birthday staff didn’t acknowledge that it was my birthday even though they took my passport. This is the first time this has happened in the last six years. Also the room that I had was not a Seaview room and there was a smell of somewhat cooking scent in my room , I’ve stayed at the boutique hotel and enjoyed it as to why I bought the main hotel. This time I would say my stay at the boutique hotel was better . Didn’t have any issues over there and the staff were much friendly. I will be returning this week for business

Amazing

Prime location, you can’t go wrong. Looks exactly like the photo and the room was very spacious.
Depending on the room you get, you could end up at an end where you can hear a lot of what’s going on outside in Paceville but it didn’t keep me up, so not an issue for me.
Great stay and food, already planning to go back.

Great hotel!

I had a great stay, friendly staff, good location, except there was some construction close by and you would hear the noise so loud early in the morning in your room! I woke up early anyways so it didn’t matter and wasn’t hotel’s fault!
The spa is amazing, food and pool great! It was my birthday and they made it so special for me, never had it before! Highly recommend!

Stayed in many hotels around the world and this was the worst by far. Absolutely poor service, roo
Layout I thought of and very poor, no air on for first 2 days and I. 40 degree heat it was awful despite many many complaints we finally got to change our room at 11.45pm sat nite!! Very inconvenient and to a room that stunk. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone

Hotel for young people who are there to party

Beautiful modern hotel, rooms are very spacious and clean. We had a massive balcony with a sea view. The hotel was very busy. Definitely a hotel for young people. The location is ideal for clubs and pubs. If you want a more low key chilled hotel this is not for you!

My stay was great until they charged me for minibar services which we did not use including a bottle of vodka. The seal had been broken but the bottle was full. This was not broken by myself and since trying to speak to a manager, they are now ignoring me. Real shame as I would have referred this hotel otherwise.

The property was nice and the the pool and view were great. A bit unorganized, there were miscommunications about mini bar items with the hotel trying to charge for items that were not consumed. Overall it was a bit overrated for the price.

The hotel looked like a great place, however, I will not recommended this place as this was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. First the check in experience - They sent us to the wrong room. Then called us to tell us we had to come back down with all our luggage, no assistance to get the key for the other room. Went to the other room and it wasn’t serviced or cleaned get. Went back downstairs and they told us we had to wait. We weren’t able to check in until 7pm, 3 hours after check in time. The front desk manager ensured us that we would receive compensation for the inconvenience. We received nothing. All we received was more headaches because the hotel had a towel shortage, so we had to ask for towels for the room but all they could provide was beach towels. The jacuzzi in the room was broken. Then upon checking out, they tried to get us to pay the deposit and euro tax AGAIN because they didn’t have the record of it in the system. So I had to get in writing that they acknowledged the deposit on my credit card and we would get it back. And again, they offered no compensation for any mishap. I said the least they could have done was paid for our drinks and food 70 euro while we had to wait 3 hours to check in to our room. But nothing. We also experienced the manager, Plamena being rude with other customers as well. I hope the hotel reads this and takes appropriate action to address her disrespect towards customers.

Overall I would give my experience a 8 out of 10. Staff was super friendly and amazing, only downfall was my jacuzzi in the room leaked and the hotel didn’t have enough wash cloths (small towels) other than that I will highly recommend, especially the spa at the hotel it is a must Rahju was amazing. I will stay again when I visit during the summer

I love this hotel. Would rate 9/10 because I've stayed at the sister hotel Hugo's on 2 other occasions and that would get a 100/10. The breakfast is ahhh ma gosh. Defo a must when booking and the location is perfect for night life and getting around with taxi or public transport around Malta. Also access to a lot of restaurants. Some say it's noisy but it's really not bad at all unless you're the most senator I've jumpy sleeper. I have recommended the Hugo's to every friend and family who have been to Malta and this is the one hotel I will be staying at when I come again. I'm obsessed !!

Due to Delta changing our flights, we needed to check out a day earlier than originally planned. We confirmed with Expedia, who called the hotel, gave them info/reference number. Explained on arrival and check out, yet once we got back we were told they just kept the extra night fee and that was that…Also we could never get a full refresh on towels; one size or another was always missing and we had to go down to the front desk, with limited success. Would return to Malta, just not here.

Great hotel, but some Gold benefits not valid

The hotel is amazing and the facilities are great. The only downside is that it doesn't have a gym (but does have a decent SPA)
The main issue I had was that my Gold VIP member benefits were not really recognised by the hotel, who didn't offer the room upgrade and guaranteed late check-out that's supposed to be included in the Gold membership
