My group of 3-4 friends have been coming to Simba Run for the last 5+ years and it delivers every time. It’s simply the best bang for your buck that you can find close to the mountain.
It is a quick 3 min drive to Lionshead or Vail Village. The rooms are all very accommodating and there’s plenty of space for 3-4 people to comfortably sleep in their own beds.
The hot tubs and steam / sauna rooms are perfect after a day of skiing as well!

I usually don’t leave negative reviews but this was beyond a disappointing stay. Room not as advertised, bedrooms looked completely different and missing beds. I bought groceries to make dinner for my family and the oven did not work so I wasted food and hundreds of dollars. Front desk was kind but management blocked them from being able to help us. Horribly run and I would not feel safe bringing my family here again.

Only 1 shuttle running most of the time during peak period, you are required to take all the trash out to the dumpster-apparently this is a new policy-seriously. 10:00 am check out. We have stayed here in the past and had good experience, not sure when the cheap policies began. Probably will not stay again

The overall property was good, however both the property and unit we were in were both showing signs of aging and wear. The floor in the top level entry area of the unit was as slick as an ice skating rink and bordered on dangerous- not sure what they were using to clean that floor, but not good! Also the complex wanted to charge us $50 for parking a second car (for a 2 bedroom unit mind you) in a 3/4 empty parking garage in the off season…crazy. Ultimately, The price was good for a weekend in Vail..

Probably not for everyone, but we liked having two levels. When you walk in, there's a bedroom immediately to the left. Everything else is downstairs. The kitchen was well-equipped and everything worked. There's even a walk-out porch. Plenty of parking in the parking deck.

We were very disappointed with our stay. The photos online were completely misleading—what we walked into looked nothing like what was advertised. The unit was hot and stuffy, with the only bedroom window opening just a couple of inches, offering no real ventilation.
Cleanliness was another major issue. There were weed crumbs on the comforter in the main bedroom, and the floors clearly hadn’t been swept before our arrival. It didn’t feel clean or cared for.
The TV in the main room took nearly an hour just to get set up in English, which made relaxing in the space even more frustrating.
Overall, the condition of the property and the deceptive nature of the listing left us feeling disappointed and uncomfortable during our stay. Would not recommend based on our experience.

Convenient shuttle service during skiing season to/from Vail Village and Lionshead. Check-in took some time finding the right unit with the 2 bedroom, 3 beds and sofa bed originally requested to sleep 6. Ended up with the nicer more space deluxe condo, no sofa bed, and a rollaway bed added to 2nd bedroom. We made it worked and appreciate the service to let us choose the right unit.

My husband and I were in Vail for a conference and ended up booking this condo. The lobby and hallways made us a little concerned when we first checked in, however once in the condo it was beautiful. Nicely decorated, good size and very comfortable. The heat was a little hard to regulate, but we figured it out. We would definitely stay again!

Good property but dated. The heater thermostats are inaccurate. We set the heat on 70 and were sweating in the middle of the night. From that point on, we set the heat between 55-60 and the place was comfortable! But the front desk staff is great (they signed for my uber grocery delivery when I was out), the shuttle to Lionshead is very easy to use, the facility is clean and it is only 1 mile to Safeway. For the price, it’s not a bad deal overall.

We had a wonderful experience until our last morning. We left our room for a brief moment to take a load of gear to the car, well before check out time, and returned to the maids cleaning our condo. We had left music on, our purses were on the table, and there were other signs that we had not checked out ~ shoes in the foyer, luggage out, toothbrushes by the sink, etc. The staff said she thought we had left.
When we complained to the front desk, Jazmine acted as if it were no big deal, and that she would have to talk to the staff to hear their side of the story. There was no apology offered, or any sort of compensation. She also said she would follow up with me, and she never did.
I will recommend this property for its amenities and location, but bring your own privacy sign to be safe.

Once we got the check-in sorted things went pretty well. Still not crazy about the two story concept, but we made due. We do like this property and will probably be open to stay here again. It has a nice pool, an indoor and outdoor hot tubs, shuttle services and nice staff.

I invited a friend to stay with us. When they started to open the glass door to exit the shower it suddenly exploded, leaving them in shock and covered with cuts. Luckily, none of their wounds needed stitches, but they were in quite a bit of pain from all the wounds on their feet, hands, and legs when they walked. The whole experience was awful.
This happened on the morning we had planned to check out. When we spoke to the condo manager during check out, I was frustrated by his lack of concern. He was careful not to apologize or take any responsibility, seeming to be more concerned about liability than trying to make things right.
He said multiple times, “the glass did what it was supposed to do,” — referencing that it was safety glass and it could have been worse.
We asked if they could offer any compensation for what happened, but he said he had our contact information and he would get back to us about that. It’s been months now, and despite multiple calls and emails, we haven’t heard anything.
If you stay here, be aware that management might not take responsibility for accidents or refuse to communicate if something does go wrong.

Simba Run was great property to stay at during our time in Vail. Could use a little more safety by keeping the entry doors from the garage into the property locked especially at night. Though there was a double lock, staying right off the elevator and by an exit door felt like we needed a little extra security like a cross bar on our unit door.

terrible experience, we keep receiving text messages about the after hours check in with a code, we arrived around 9 pm, no one was available at check in, safe box had a key for some other tenant of the building, we called the numbers at least 20 times and no one answered. Another family had similar problem, we used counter desk phone and then someone out of state who was managing the property answered and said he cant help much and will try to get a hold of someone.

we have stayed here before and had a great experience. we arrived at 6:10 which was after hours (8-3:45), could not access room. called the contact # in text - no answer. had to do down to desk to find another contact #. Maintenance did arrive fairly quick to determine the door lock needed batteries. Paid for 4 quests, the particular unit had a queen in 2nd BR and sofa was not a pull-out, although this was specifically noted in the room description. The real issue turned out to be no toilet paper in either of the bathrooms. again, try to reach desk and told us to try to get to morning and they would deliver - seriously. will think twice about staying here again

The unit where we were placed is located in the lower reaches of the property, requiring two flights of stairs, difficult with luggage. No elevator service to the rooms in this area. Fortunately we have no restrictions on mobility but when I enquired at checkout about what would a guest with mobility issues be able to get in, I was told that would have to be requested at booking.

Most everything was great. Our unit was beautiful, fully stocked and clean. They seem to have some automated emails that may be outdated (we got an email that said the desk closed for check in at 5:00 but when I called they said they were there until 9:00).
The shuttle service to Vail is great, but if you are finishing your day in Vail Village, I recommend taking the local bus to Lionshead for pickup as that is where most people catch it and it fills up quickly.

The room we had (2203) is on a floor that did NOT have elevator access. We had to walk up and down stairs with our ski bags to get to the room. This was not communicated to us in advance. To make matters worse, we got to the place around 10pm and we had a hard time finding the room because it was in such an awkward spot.

Overall, we had a brilliant stay here! The apartment had the wow factor when we arrived - bright and light with a great view of the mountain! The property facilities are also good - sauna, steam room, gym, swimming pool and hot tubs! The shuttle service was really great too, so getting in and from Vail worked like dream! The only minor niggles we had were that we were on the frontside of the property so the road noise at night can be a little intrusive (if you are a light sleeper) and also we got to know the maintenance guy pretty well as there were a few issues with lighting and the on-suite bathroom. Would I come back? Yes!

We stayed here as a guys' ski weekend. The location was great. The shuttle service took us directly to Lionshead, with minimal wait times. The ski lockers were fantastic, as we could store our skis only a few yards from the shuttle pickup spot. The hot tub was the best I have ever seen. It was huge, very hot, and quite deep; great after a long day of skiing. The condo itself was very nice. A well-equipped kitchen, very clean, and a cool vibe. We definitely want to stay here again next year.

Right next to I70 but the wall and windows do a great job to block the traffic sound. Ski shuttle service is 5-star. Hot tubs and heated swimming pool are nice too. Staff are friendly. We definitely want go back.

We came to Simba Run because the hotel we usually stay at was booked. We were very pleased. Actually turned out better than 2 separate rooms at the hotel-and at half the price! While our unit wasn’t as luxurious as those at the hotel, the unit was clean and very comfortable. Loved the frequent shuttle, outdoor hot tub, large indoor pool and up to date kitchen.
