It was a very comfortable stay with convenient parking, the unit was clean, spacious, and modern, with a wonderful balcony looking over the pool and the ski/biking hill, and there were two large TVs in the unit to enjoy a Premier League soccer match in the morning. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing accommodations. Our space was recently renovated and so perfect for our weekend in vail. Beautiful pool and hot tubs. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. Very centrally located with a bus stop just outside .

WOW!! Book this place. It is beautiful. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Our condo was huge with 3 beds and 3 baths and looked out to the pool. We mostly had the pool to ourselves during the day. Close walking to the walking trail and close to shops and food. We had the best time and would stay again.

This was our second stay here and we will not be back. The location is great, however there were several problems which were unacceptable considering the price you pay. The bedding on the foldout couch was dirty/used when we arrived at our unit. We declined housekeeping during our stay (told the girl at the front desk), yet sure enough housekeeping showed up banging on our door the next day (while our child was trying to nap). The BIGGEST problem is their extremely unacceptable elevator policy. All units are on the 2, 3, or 4th floors. You CANNOT use the elevator to go down to the lobby after 10pm or before 8am. We had a small child and stroller with us. So, if your child wakes up early and you want to go for a walk or to get some early breakfast at 7am, you cannot get from your unit to Lionshead without going down stairs. It is ridiculous to have to carry a stroller down stairs. We wanted to leave/check out before 8am. Guess what - we couldn't do it because the elevators down to the lobby/garage DON'T WORK before 8! How are you supposed to carry all of your luggage, ski bags, etc. down the narrow stairs each time?? Thankfully we did not have an early morning flight to catch. What if you're in a wheelchair? What if you're injured? How is OK with the ADA???? Completely unacceptable. And what is the reasoning behind this?? If they're worried about security, add a key card reader to the elevators. Truly a pathetic policy with no explanation (and this is a Hyatt Residence).

Our toilet seat was not properly cleaned (old urine stains on the edge of the bowl). Most outlets need to be replaced - you plug something in and it simply falls right out. Toiletries could be better - would appreciate real soap like most hotels now offer. Outdated furniture, not a huge deal but you are paying premium prices. Staff was very friendly and good location.

Positives are great location in Lionshead square; clean condo and free basement garage parking. However, the condo was quite dated; did not have AC and it was really hot at the time we visited with day time temps close to 90 degrees. The windows of the bedrooms opened to public hallways so we couldn't really keep them open for fresh air. The place was next to another condo that was being renovated so we heard loud drilling and banging most of the days we were there which was very disturbing for my husband who was working remotely. We were not even warned about this when we checked in. Overall, we did not enjoy the stay and would not revist.

Great time here. Clean and friendly staff. Located in Lionshead Village which seems a bit quieter end of Vail. Still has some close by shops and restaurants, however perhaps a little more limited compared to Vail Village. About a mile (15 min walk) to main village with more choices if desired. No complaints other than the bed may need a new mattress soon (fairly noticeable indentations).

Very outdated condo. We stayed there one week and they refused to provide housekeeping services. If you want 4-5 star accommodations, do not stay here. I would rate it a 2.5 star. The only positive is it’s location and proximity to Lionshead.

Our stay at the Montaneros in Vail was perfect. The accommodations were exactly what we were hoping for. Plenty of room as to not feel cramped and the decor was charming. We walked everywhere and the path along the river to get to the east side of the village was beautiful. Of course, the weather could not have been better either.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Monteneros. The condo was spacious, clean and nicely furnished, had a stocked kitchen and a balcony with a great view. I also enjoyed using the heated pool and hot tub. The building is located in Lionshead Village and was also right next to the town bus stop, offering quick transportation to the rest of Vail Village.

Good location in Lionshead Village. Nearby The Little Diner has great breakfast choices. I was disappointed that the days I stayed was in the off-season, and several restaurants were closed. The bathroom in the 1 bd/1 ba unit was small and tight, especially toilet and shower/bath area.

Wonderful Spring Ski Weekend in Vail.
We had a wonderful Easter weekend of spring skiing in Vail. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo in Montaneros in Vail. Its 1 block from the gondola, easy quick walk to ski. The condo was very nice, very clean, well stocked kitchen, overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The service at the front desk was excellent.

The location of the hotel is perfect, if you want to be right in the middle of Vail. Easy walking distance to shops, the market, the ski slopes, or anything you want to enjoy in Vail. Montaneros is perfectly located in Lionshead very near the gondola. The service was great, the condo very comfortable. The bedding is dated but the unit was very clean. You do need to be careful not to overload the electrical circuit breakers, but they are easy to fix. Would definitely go back.

Excellent location - just about one block from the Lionshead gondola, a very short walk, also lots of good restaurants very close and convenient to walk/bike/bus to Vail village; comfortable condo; great pool & hot tub area for just this condo, so was not crowded; staff friendly; balcony overlooks pretty pool area, view is mountain with gondola (partially blocked by other condos).

We were pleasantly surprised by how roomy our one-bedroom condo was and how nicely it was decorated. The hotel is manned by super friendly staff who gave us very useful information. The best part was that we could walk to the slopes without hitting any stairs, just a small escalator near the lifts. That makes a big difference when you're carrying skis at the end of the day.
The pool and hot tub were very clean and a few feet from the lobby so you don't have to freeze when you get out. The lounge area in the lobby was cozy and comfortable with a nice fire going. Very relaxing. Loved that there was coffee, hot chocolate, apples and water stocked at all times in the lobby.

Minutes walk away from the gondola. Super handy for skiers. Reception seems to only be manned by one person so if they have to leave the front desk you are left waiting. No problem as there is free popcorn, hot chocolate, tea/ coffee to help yourself to. Beautiful pool and spa area and sauna to relax in after a day's.

We love the Montaneros! When our son started ski school, we looked for a place in Lionshead and found good reviews for The Montaneros, so we tried it. What a great place! You can't beat the location and we love that we have a totally separate bedroom and a full kitchen. The underground, parking is also great! The staff is so nice and always helpful.
