The hotel was terrific, and the staff were incredibly helpful, going out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location is fantastic—right in a prime area—and although it's busy outside, it was surprisingly quiet inside. It also felt very safe throughout our visit.

The unit was great. Bed very firm, though. Staff was exceptional. Had bad upstairs guest who walked heavy-footed at all hours, keeping us awake, but that was no fault of Maison Evelina. It was not one of their guests. Overall, an outstanding experience. Also, the location is great.

If you’re planning to stay in Rome, I highly recommend this hotel!
It’s conveniently located near the Spanish Steps, and the staff are all kind and courteous.
The breakfast they serve is also very delicious.
We stayed at two other hotels during our trip, but my children said every day that they wanted to return to this one.
When we visit Rome again, we will definitely stay here!

This is the perfect place to stay!!! Walking distance to everywhere! The prettiest room and came with ear plugs (it’s noisy in Florence anywhere you stay!!) but noise wasn’t bad I only used them once… I can’t emphasize enough how great this place is, it’s like staying in an Italian family home ❤️❤️❤️

Great place to stay to experience Rome

Room was modern, new and extremely clean. Team were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Location is perfect, in the heart of the city, surrouded by restaurants and stores, minutes away from the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain and an easy walk to the Coluseum etc I was travelling alone and felt very safe in this area. I would definitely highly reccomend

The staff is very helpful.
The room we were in is right next to the kitchen and the dining room, so you leave the room straight into the guests' dining table.

Property is in a great location. Our room was on the second floor. Entry doors are locked you will have to buzz to get in. They will give you a access code at check-in. Very small elevator. Room is very clean, on the small side, nice size bed very firm, good size TV by Rome standards, good mini fridge with multiple types of water, juice and soda drinks included. Room had a safe, Beautiful marble bathroom, nice shower, toilet and bidet. Breakfast was typical fruit, croissants, toast, yogurt, fruit and eggs. Staff was very friendly and accommodating with any requests. They are not on site in the evenings, if you are arriving late you will have to let them know a head of time.

Having read reviews, I had high expectations for the level of service. Based on our initial check-in, I was disappointed and felt a bit like I was being interrogated, rather then welcomed.
Be aware that the suites are right outside the breakfast/reception area and the suites are not sound-proofed. Mornings especially are quite noisy and when you open the door, there are people right there and they can hear you as well.
The building was undergoing construction, which was a shame as we wanted a quiet place to rest during the day between activities.
The surrounding area was very nice.
With the amount we paid, little things like the shower gel bottle empty upon check-in and not being filled until the last day when we had to request it ( only to realize that the shampoo was actually the shower gel we had been using the whole stay), and bigger things like the fact that we had requested a quiet room prior to arrival, were let-downs.

Located right by the Spanish Steps and name-brand shopping streets. Easy access to food, shopping, and famous places. Stayed for a family trip. Very clean and cool with A/C, cozy fridge, they served breakfast in the room (For Suite only). Pretty good beds, staffs were very informative. Due to the Assumption of Mary Holiday, some places were closed but it was my luck to pick those days. My family loved our entire stay here. Strongly recommended. Will come back if I have a chance to revisit.

We were very impressed with our stay here. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast in our room was a treat and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was close to many landmarks in Rome and very walkable. The taxi stand was close by when we needed it. We would stay here again.

Perfect spot for Rome

This place is amazing. Perfect location and extremely comfortable for myself and two girlfriends. So close to all the attraction. Just down the street from the Spanish Steps and high end stores. Lorie cook a beautiful breakfast for us every morning and the day we were leaving early offered to have breakfast for us. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Outside our room was coffee and treats. Inside our room was tea with kettle.

Weekend trip with family.

Maison Evelina was a fabulous residence only 2 minutes walk from the Spanish steps. With lovely modern interior and decor we had a deluxe suite with 2 large rooms and great facilities, ie minibar, kettle, safe, large tv's, queen bed in one room and 2 singles in other, twin sinks in bathroom as well as shower etc and free tolietries. The breakfast was a varied hot and cold buffet, cereals, yoghurt, cakes, ham, cheese, olives, pancakes, fried/scrambled eggs made upon request etc - fabulous. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Around the area were shops, restaurants etc as close to Spanish steps where the metro station is convenient for getting around. All in all a great place to stay. Thank you

My new Home away from Home in Rome

This place is no \"Ten\", no I would definitely rate this a \"Twelve\"!
Where do I start....well, the location cannot be beat, it is on an elegant street with some fine dining and the finest upscale shopping. Two streets over you can find \"Outlet\" stores and there are large Plazas at both ends of this street. Upon our early arrival we were shown directly to our room, which at 11:30 in the morning could not have been ready, in order to leave our luggage. What a help that was. We met Janet & Alexandra who spoke English and Spanish fluently. The room was comfortable, spacious and felt like an apartment as it was so well laid out and well appointed. It was recently designed and remodeled by the husband of Alessandra, the owner. Easy access with the Door Code, it is simple and the same downstairs as upstairs, only one to remember! Small but adequate elevator eliminated the need to carry luggage up any steps. Rock solid and lightning fast WiFi, even had Netflix already so I did not need to connect my HDMI cable. Janet cooked us a fantastic breakfast that was done to perfection. We needed to ship and our sweet front desk manager helped us with directions and information to the Mailboxes Etc.store. Everybody here was beautiful and sweet, we truly felt as if we were at home :-) Thanks to all of you, see you on our next visit......

Great location and wonderful stay

I read all the reviews before booking and our family of four stayed comfortably in one of the suite. The biggest surprise is the huge bath room, I mean huge compared to other hotels we stayed in Italy. AC was strong and the beds were comfy, the included breakfast had limited items but it served our purpose. The location is great and close to all the major attractions. The hotel offers transportation to and from FCO but it costs a little more, I recommend you book through Welcome Pickups which is only 48 euros same as official Rome taxi rate.

A little hidden gem with great staff!

We stayed a couple of nights here and it was in the perfect location close to shopping, restaurants and sights such as the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. We stayed over a weekend and the staff were super friendly and helpful and welcoming! We will definitely come back again should we be visiting Rome again for sure!

Our experience with Maison Evelina was wonderful. They were very responsive, friendly and helpful with all my questions. The staff was very hospitable when we had the opportunity to meet them in person as well.

Since we had to check in after hours, we were set up with door access codes so we were still able to get into our room with ease. There is an elevator available, so guests with mobility issues should have no problem accessing their suite.

The apartment was very spacious and clean, and had wonderful amenities such as a full kitchen, large bathroom with a washer/dryer unit, dining table, TV, and more. The staff also provided a list of dining recommendations and other information to help us navigate the city.

The location of Maison Evelina was awesome- so close to lots of shopping, dining, and the Spanish Steps. We had no problem walking to the Colosseum and back in an afternoon and saw plenty of amazing sights along the way.

I would definitely recommend Maison Evelina and would stay there again if/when I return to Rome!

This little boutique hotel is a gem. The room was beautiful and extremely clean. We were in one of 3 rooms. The rooms were very quiet. The hotel is located in the heart of a beautiful section of Rome.
But, when we were done sight-seeing and shopping we could escape to this little paradise. There is a common kitchen area if you want to cook and to make your capsule of Nespresso in the morning. We did not pay for the breakfast so I'm not sure what that included. There is a receptionist who is very helpful and nice. She is there from 9-2. (not 9-8 like it said when I booked this hotel). We talked about this and she showed me the Italian listing which said limited reception hours. I guess this got lost in the translation. The hotel is very close to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Metro station and much, much more.

Top notch choice in Rome!

The location is unbeatable, you'll get whatever you need in the neighbor area, 5 mins talk to Spanish Steps. The service is superb too, very nice host. And the room itself is also very spacious and lovely in the prime area, considering the price, I'd highly recommend people to go and surely will go back again.

Stayed with our family in the 2 bedroom apartment. Huge apartment. Great to have kitchen and washing machine. Very clean. Decor shabby chic. Manager very helpful. Amazing location...just a moments walk to Spanish Steps. The bed layout is one separate bedroom with a king bed and another king bed at end of large living room separated by wooden screen (sufficiently private). Air conditioning worked great and we were there in a heatwave. Hidden gem.

Central and convenient

Situated in the historical center close to many of my favorite shops and restaurants, quiet thanks to thick walls despite being on a busy street, this apartment is an ideal \"home away from home\".
Its kitchen isn't equipped for cooking, I couldn't even find any plates and had to use saucers, but it does have a kettle and coffee machine.
The second bed is in the vast dining / living room, partly hidden by a Chinese screen, so I'd feel uncomfortable sharing the apartment with anyone but a close relative. The bedroom and bathroom are a good size.
The furnishings are eclectic to say the least, mostly antique except for the modern glass and chrome dining set, a zebra print rug in the kitchen, tired red armchairs in the bedroom and bathroom... But everything is immaculately clean and the maid, as all other staff I met, is friendly and cheerful as well as efficient.

loved staying at maison evelina. staff are all lovely and very accommodating. the room is clean and spacious. they are not staffed 24/7, however contactable via phone if you need. they have a small lift. coffee ia available, however breakfast is a short walk down the street, just show them the voucher for a coffee, juice and pastry. would be very happy to stay here again.

Incredible long weekend at Maison Evelina!

We were a bit skeptical before arriving because the cost was so reasonable and the location was perfect but the hotel exceeded all expectations. Upon arrival, we realized that we had booked the apartment which was incredible! It is a huge apartment, with 2 bedrooms, a dining area, kitchen and even a washing machine. This coupled with clean accommodations and excellent service made for a wonderful stay. And it didn't hurt that there was a salon in the building which made getting ready for a wedding a total breeze.

We will, without question, stay at Maison Evelina when we return to Rome next!

Lovely little hotel near Spanish Steps

Maison Evelina for 3 days. My room was very comfortable, convenient to Metro and tourist spots, and very quiet. The staff was helpful, answering questions, providing sightseeing suggestions and even made a dinner reservation for the night I arrived. Rooms are on the second floor so having a small elevator was nice for my luggage. I would stay here again.

I just went on a trip throughout Europe with my mother and let me tell you, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff is so welcoming, they practically made us feel like family. The room was spotless and comfortable. And to top it all off it is in the best location ! We walked everywhere. Highly recommend seeing the coliseum at night! Definitely coming back to this hotel in the near future. Thank you Maison Evelina for putting the cherry on top of my cake in Rome !

This wonderful gem of a hotel was a treat to discover. It is in a perfect location, a moments walk from the metro station and steps from the beautiful Spanish steps.The only thing nicer than the hotel and its perfect location was the superb Paola who truly made us feel welcome, at home, at ease and on holidays! She told us all the best places to shop and eat. Her list of restaurants with the addresses, was superb!! Any restaurant on her list was worthy of a visit and we found delicious food, charming locations, handsome waiters and people understanding of our limited Italian! When we went elsewhere we were invariably disappointed!! So if you are lucky enough to fall into Paola's care and be offered her magical list, take it and run as fast as you can to as many as you can fit in on your trip!! The lovely thing is that you are right there in the middle of everything, , it is all so very close.

Upscale Large Modern Room with free minibar

This small boutique hotel is in the upscale shopping area north of the Spanish Steps. The reception is open from 9am to 2pm. The rooms are modern, large (tall 4m ceilings), well lit with modern fixtures, comfortable beds. The bathroom is large, with modern fixtures including a bidet and a large shower stall (no bathtub). The only deficits are that the light for the shower stall is about 3m away, so that the shower is not well lit, and that there are no hooks for hanging up clothes in the bathroom. We got vouchers for breakfast at a restaurant down the block and we had in the room a FREE minibar well stocked with drinks and snacks. The location is ideal, close to transportation (Metro and taxi rank at Spagna, a block away), close to restaurant row on Via della Croce, and surrounded by an upscale shopping neighborhood.
