One of the best hotels we stayed at.

Wonderful stay at the Park Hyatt, front of service was very kind and helpful, we got a big discount on a room upgrade offered to us and allowed us to check in much earlier.

They helped us everyday to catch a DiDi, we had an issue with our wechat, so they helped us with taxi service everyday.

The room is very beautiful with stunning views, the service is fantastic with Le Labo products in the room and the rooms are very spacious.
We really enjoyed looking at the Canton river view and tower every morning.

I heard from my friend that this hotel is around 10 years old, but it is maintained very well and feels fresh. I thought it was much younger.

Staff are extremely friendly. I shopped a lot online and had a lot of deliveries. Staff were able to deliver them to my room. Very responsible. But, no food delivery allow like Meituan.

A gem in Guangzhou

exceptional hotel, welcoming rooms, nice restaurants and bars. The only downside is the communication with the staff, as they do not speak English fluently. Nothing you can not overcome with Google Translate, though.

Bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly when I walked in, nothing major, just a small stuff wasn’t cleaned off. The staff at the front desk take it very seriously and did a wonderful job to solve this problem. Great location and great staff. I had wonderful experience here and would stay again in the future. Highly recommended.

Terrible Service and Attitude

I’m posting this for my wife, as I booked the hotel for her solo trip. During the night the A/C wasn’t getting cool, it couldn’t get below 22 deg. The hotel didn’t even have a fan for to use. The hotel offered me a mediocre breakfast and a late check out after I complained and they moved me around to different rooms without any sleep. However, the next day while I was trying to take a nap around 11:45am, a man knocked on the door once and let himself into the room without saying anything. After my shock and I confronted him, he said he was room service and had the wrong room. When I checked out I asked to speak to the manager, Mark Wong, who said the man was checking laundry which is different than what the man said. Mark said they would investigate and call me later. They called me back to say after investigating the man knocked, so it was “ok” to which I replied he opened the door before I could say anything and the reply was “everyone has a different perception of time”. As a solo woman traveler, Mark’s indifference to the situation is unforgivable and he should be ashamed. There is absolutely no excuse for any staff entering a room without proper time and announcing why they are there. I’m thankful I was not changing or in the shower when the man entered.

Good location, close to several malls. This is the only advantage. I had breakfast during the stay and threw up in the middle of the breakfast. I’m not sure it’s the problem of the breakfast or personal issue but the taste was just average. When my mom approached to the lobby manager to make reservation for lunch, he promised the reservation was made. When we arrived at the restaurant the staff confirmed there was nothing for us.

The design is good. But at the same time it’s kind of hard to clean thoroughly. I could still see dust on the in room decoration.

During our stay, the building is being maintained and there were people cleaning glass walls. It caused intolerable noise from the very early morning to dawn. Don’t even try to take a nap from the moment they started maintenance.

Overall, worst Park Hyatt I’ve ever stayed. Would definitely avoid this hotel next time in Guangzhou.

Five stars hotel excellent stay

Only a few minor comments if really want to improve what a already 5 stars hotel experience. 1) hotel signage is really small at ground level, not easy to spot if driving on Huaxia road. 2) bathroom soap dish is too small and tight to the soap size so it's difficult to pick up soap when it's wet. 3) I was asked by pool attendant to wear one of their head cap when swimming in the pool which is a bit odd and uncomfortable for someone who is not used to them and detracts from the relaxing experience. Guess it's a China cultural hygiene preference. But personally never encounter such request from 5 stars hotels in Europe or the States. Overall a 5 stars hotel with good trained staff in general still

great food, great location

Everythings more or less as expected from park Hyatt. Food is outstanding, the best amount Guangzhou's top hotels. The draw back is, air-conditioner is noisey. The electricity sockets for coffee maker and water boiler are not working. Genrally speaking, solfware is great, hardware is a little bit raw.
