The rooms were kept clean daily and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The area was quite nice and had a lot of conveniences. My only concern is that people were smoking in their rooms and the smoke was coming into my room, which the hotel seems to be okay with.

In my previous stays, there was cheese at breakfast. This time, there was none. The number of guests from Europe is increasing. I recommend this hotel to those visiting the Canton Fair during the same period, and they've already started coming. I recommend adding mozzarella cheese to your breakfast. Parmesan cheese is also a good option.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The property is clean, stylish, and incredibly comfortable — a perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, making it feel like a true home away from home.
One of the biggest highlights was the excellent service of Tony and Kanta. Tony went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made a lasting impression. It's rare to come across someone so dedicated to making guests feel welcome and valued.
The location is unbeatable — close to everything we needed, including great restaurants, shops, and attractions. It made getting around easy and stress-free. On top of all that, the hotel offers great value for money. For the quality of service and comfort we received, it exceeded all expectations.

我7月的時候在酒店的26樓層住了十天時間。而這段時間是廣州最熱的時候。房間外走廊感覺沒有開冷氣，一出房間便感覺很悶熱。而我房間對著的走火通道一直都沒有開燈，但防火門一直都開著，形成一個黑洞，出入時感覺很不舒服和不安全。同是酒店大堂的吊燈在晚上一定的時間便會關閉，令到晚上遲回酒店的客人沒有賓至如歸的感覺。其他酒店各方面我認為都很好。

The hotel is in a very convenient area, you can take a walk and within 20min you get to many fun areas. It’s also close to the US embassy if you are there for visas and stuff. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room is spacious and that are all the good parts.

What threw me off is the smell on my floor and in my room, the developer prob spent a fortune on the lobby, while the floor I was on is full of cigarette smoke smell even though it’s a non smoking hotel. The moment I entered my room there is a rush of molded air. That’s the main turnoff, other than I if you are very detail oriented, there are many small things that can add to the experience that makes the hotel below standard. There was a flickering light that was on and off every few minute throughout my stay. The lighting in front of the sink was really dark. The outlet cap in the bathroom free falls the whole time so it required two hands to plug in the outlet. The toilet cap leans right against the flush button. The bed is very hard, not the memory foam hard, but the other kind. Plus, there was construction going on even at nights and the window is not sound proof enough. All in all, I feel this hotel used to be an office and the developer pivoted the usage that’s why it was not designed to be a hotel originally and they didn’t do a thorough enough job to convert it.

I usually dont bother to write a review, but I wanted to share my better-than-expected experience of the Vaperse Hotel as I read some reviews that almost deterred me from staying there. The location is excellent, and an underground car park is available if you are driving. Check-in was efficient, no problems with the language barrier, and it was better than the average English level if you compare it to other non-western hotel chains. I had the apartment room which consisted of an open-plan bedroom, living room and kitchen area. The lever of comfort in the room is not outstanding but practical and functional, definitely acceptable for a 4 star. Everything was clean and nothing felt too run down. Bed was actually excellent, very firm but comfortable and the bathroom was clean.

Really very difficult to fault this place other than picking on minor things but if you can get this hotel on special, its very much worth it and you should have a comfortable stay.

As a frequent traveller I prefer to leave constructive criticism instead simply not returning to a hotel.

Good points:

Location is great.
Room size and divider was amazing.
Bathroom was nice, well equipped.
Lobby was extravagant lots of marble.

Bad points:
Odd smells on the upholstery
not very pleasant for a 5star rated establishment.

Either a subtle room fragrant or deep steam clean of the sofas I think.

Bed was very firm.
Not sure if that’s a local preference.

For a non smoking hotel I could smell smoke often. I even saw the guy by the lifts with a cigarette.

Lack of sound proofing.
So could hear staff and guest conversation in the morning around 5-8am in the corridors.

Hope this helps with the improvement.

The staff hardly speak English. For Canton fair so many foreigners descend upon this hotel and what is the point if you don't have English speaking staff?

The breakfast place is VERY vegetarian-unfriendly. The noodles, rice etc. is not vegetarian. The omelette is made using the same pan of those eating meat or pork. How can this be an international hotel when people don't speak English and basic vegetarian dietary is not met? How?

Booked Hotel but ended in the apartment but
overall the stay was good except for the 24/7 noise behind the hotel (note to ask for room facing the road instead). Most importantly, there's non smoking smell. The room was surprising big (2 x queen bed separated by sliding door), bed was comfy for me but could be hard for others. The water pressure was not strong and wifi was slow. There are food eateries nearby and subway is a shortwalk. BTW, there's shuttle service to canton fair. Will stay again

Nice location - room was not what we booked, issue with the breakfast which we booked with Expedia wasn't included when we got there - we have expected a King Room, but was given a apartment - no carpets only cold tile floor. Bed mattress was just solid - so uncomfortable - so for a 5 star hotel not good enough.
We had to move rooms as we had a water leak at 5am in the morning - they compensated us with adding the free breakfast back onto our booking.
Not many English speaking staff.

This hotel is absolutely brilliant. It is set in a fantastic location. The entrance lobby is absolutely opulent. Service is impeccable. Rooms are very nicely appointed. Breakfast is an absolute event - there is so much to choose from! The swimming pool is absolutely phenomenal. If you want to treat yourself, go ahead and book a stay - you won't be disappointed. And if it is not included, try the afternoon tea. WOW!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS - JUST DO IT!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Vaperse! It is in an excellent location. There is heaps of shopping and dining in the local area. It is situated close to everything in central Guangzhou. The views from my room overlooking the city and Canton Tower were amazing. The rooms were lovely - clean and comfortable. My room had an enormous bathroom complete with bathtub. The breakfast buffet each day was enormous with so much to choose from. Staff were friendly, attentive and obliging. It was so easy to get a taxi outside - the staff were happy to assist. The afternoon tea was absolutely astonishing. The swimming pool was breathtaking with phenomenal views of the city and there is always a lifeguard on duty. King (staff member) was an absolute delight and made so much effort to make me feel welcome. You can also use the sauna or get a massage at the property. It's a little pricey, but if you want to pamper yourself, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property and would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody.

The hotel staffs are super nice. The hotel has tasteful lobby decorations! There is a convenience store at the hotel with cheap prices! The hotel is a bit far from subway station line. I booked a 3 bedroom apartment and there is a washing machine but no laundry powder or detergent provided. The 3 bedroom apartment had only 1 toilet with bathtub and shower. The hot water is only enough for 2 adults to shower before other kids have to wait for 40 minutes for heater to prepare another round of hot water! The swimming pool closes at 9 and gym closes at 9:30pm. Don’t understand why the changing room with shower facility at gym and swimming pool level closes at 9 with pool facility ..... perhaps they don’t expect gym users to sweat and shower before they go back to their room. The hotel is strange to have a maternity clinic or Chinese medical clinic if some sort on 10/F.

Perfectly wonderful location! Centrally located to anywhere you want to visit for your stay in GZ.

Download a metro/subway app or if you're techy use what you have in order to move smoother and quicker to places that are no more than a 30 minute train ride.

Though, no safes so be ready to carry your money, passport and valuables, unless you're okay with leaving that at the front desk for safe keeping.

Good hotel in a good area

This is my go to location for the Canton fair. Location is convenient to the subway and good eating options. The past two years I have stayed in an apartment which is nice . I have read a few reviews to comment on the hardness of the mattresses. The mattress is extremely firm but is not the super hard Chinese style. I would consider the mattress to be comparable to the mattress I have in my Chinese apartment but certainly far better than standard Chinese hotels.

Don't rent an apartment!

This hotel is divides in tow parts: The apartments side and hotel side. At first, we ad chosen the apartment because we wanted to have a washing machine. Unfortunately, the apartment was extremely dirty. I must insist. Extremely. More over, the bed was very uncomfortable. We were disappointed since we had a reservation for 4 nights. So, we asked to get a better room in the hotel side. It was more expensive but infinitely better even though the cleanness was far from perfect. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from ATM (Automated People Mover).

I attended the Canton Fair so stayed in the hotel for a week. The staff were very polite and obliging at all times. There was always someone on duty who could speak English. The room was extremely spacious, bed comfortable and the decor quite lavish. The entire hotel was lavishly decorated and had an air of opulence! They provided a free coach to and from the fair daily which was a real treat and the reason I chose to stay there! I would stay there again and I would recommend the hotel!

Very nice hotel that was close to Canton Fair. Bus available to the fair every day was great. Dinner in the Chinese restaurant was the best I have had in China. This hotel is perfect for any business trip. Service could be a bit quicker in the lobby bar and they ran out of beer.... twice. Gym should open at 6am, but this is the same everywhere in China. It opens at 7.30am and we are gone by 8am. Very hard bed, but I like that. I will return here on my next business trip.

I booked a room in the apartment building, but I am sure that the hotel building is as good if not even better. The rooms are very nice and spacious with all the comforts you ask from a five star hotel.
The breakfast is very good and there is a free shuttle bus service to the fair.
On the negative side is that there is only one restaurant in the hotel, which is good, but the buffet is a bit pricey. There are no other restaurants in walking distance except Mcdonald. In a five minute drive distance, there are plenty of restaurants.

2- 5% of the staffs speaks english (not even gluently)
3- No safety box and arfter arguening htye gave us one which was super dirty and not safe
4- Some days the halls way are super smelly
5- The person who cleans the room doesn't vacuum the place he just moving the dirts with mop from one corner to another corner of room. Get so smelly after mopping. First night I was close to cut my feet with big peice of broken glass, from previous guesst, and because they just mop so I guess they missed it (make sure to ask to vaccum your room
6- breakfast : there is nothing to eat except egg and fries rest is all Chinese basic food cold and not tasty
7- no one knows any direction, I asked the concienge 3 times and he gave me totally wrong direction
8- this hotel is good for Chinese people whoc speaks chinesse
9- most of the seasons the pool is close
10- people smoke everywhere, room, hallways, sometimes lobby
11- staff not friendly (it is super hard for them to take taxi for lol)
12- do not even think is using WIFI there. Super slow and they were saying if you can not connect to your router in room try your password for the suite next to you.
13- Takes 45 minutes to bring shampoos
14 you see lots of hairs in shower, you stand on the stone which is 2 CM above the ground, and under that there are lots of hairs from other guests
Do not really recommend unless you speak Chinese, and you do not clean if the place is clean.

Nothing unusal.

The building is full of cigaretts smoke. I would consider this is a local vistors hotel and not recommend for overseas vistors. Poor sound proof, and children screaming and running can easily been heard.

Nice business suite room, big, and good views. Good Breakfast. Awful service at front desk, cannot understand English most of them and they pretend to do they understand you. Many problems and mistakes by them

I would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel.

The lobby is a extravagantly decorated to say the least. The rooms are 5 star. The swimming pool is a must as the view is breathtaking, especially in the Guangzhou humidity. The Hotel restaurants are very average, the food is not up to the high standard the prices would suggest. Poor beer and wine selection. I would Recommend the Tiahne restaurant district without hesitation or there are a number of restaurants and bars scattered close to the Hotel.

A sale on Expedia.

A beautiful entry way with elevated bowls with lounges and tables for a 88 Yuan dinner buffet. The lobby and first floor was impressive. The room was beautiful. The A/C started and in a few hours it began to make puffing noises. It was a nice room. The bed was magnificent.

Luxurious hotel

Room is not very spacious but comfortable and comes with washer and dryer, big fridge, even sink and stove. The hotel owner spent a lot on luxurious stuffs like motion-sensor lights, marble floorings and walls.

The details of the hotel room is not well thought-out however. 1 towel hanger is by the door inside the shower area, and another towel hanger is right next to the shower. Your towel will surely get wet while showering.

We weren't told about the lights that only turns off when it doesn't detect any movement for a few minutes, so we spent a few minutes trying to find the switch that turns off the light until we gave up and the receptionist sent someone up to tell us not to move so that the light turns off. There should be a notice about the automatic lights.

The wall separating our room with the next room does not go all the way to the window. There was like a 5mm gap between the edge of the wall and the window, so we were able to hear our neighbor talking on the phone.

Overall it was a luxurious hotel and a great value for the price you pay; I would say they use building materials for a 5 star hotel. Just a pity that the details are not well thought out otherwise I would give it a 5 star rating!

The air conditioning inside apartment room was out of order. I then reported to the reception and they were willing to change another room for me. However, the staff were not reacting fast for the entire process. I have been waiting in a air tight room (windows can't be opened) for around 30-45 mins. Anyhow the staff are polite and helpful.
