Great Rooms, Courteous Staff, Good Food

We booked the Victoria hotel for our stay while attending the Canton Fair in Guangzhou, October 2019. The location was very close to the fair and the hotel offered a shuttle (though we opted most mornings to use the DiDi ride service because it was so cheap and it provided comfort).

The hotel was very beautiful and spacious. The rooms were good size with large, well lit bathrooms and nice shower facilities. The view of the city was also very beautiful from my room on the 19th floor. THere was a small catered reception in the lobby each afternoon around 5 I believe. We were always on the go so we only had fleeting glimpses, though I did try some nice sushi there one night.

There's a starbucks right in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was very nice. There was juice, water, coffee and cappucinos as well as some fresh blended drink each morning. There was a nice mixture of western and eastern dishes and it was nice that the offerings were changed up each day. We also ate at the restaurant for lunch one day and the food was good.

The front desk helped us with everything we asked, such as laundry, taxis, and airport transportation. The only drawback was that the ATM was not compatible with our Bank of America Debit cards, so the only way to get cash on premises was a direct money exchange. Though we did learn later that there was a China Bank about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

I would definitely choose it again for the Canton Fair.

Although an old hotel, the premises were up kept very well. Overall comfortable and clean. Having its location along the main road can be noisy for the street facing room. Certainly a 4-star comfort to be there during next trip to Guangzhou

Pretty nice place to stay in -- rooms were clean, hotel staff are friendly, they even hv a starbucks at the lobby!
It's surrounded by lotsa eating options (or maybe that may be true for everywhere in Guangzhou).

However, I feel it is a bit far to walk to nearest metro station (Ganding), at least with luggage in toll (Do note there's an underpass nearby to cross the busy highway). Nonetheless, simply just get a cab and it's near to most places!

Simple and Good business hotel in a good locati

The first time staying at this local 4 star. Very impressed. Not the most attentive service but are very willing to help if you ask. The stay was for business so we required a convenient location to the exhibition which this was. In the lobby there is a Starbucks which is very very convenient for quick meetings and breakfast etc....

Good hotel but far from subway and shops

This is a new hotel and taxi drivers did not know or never hear about this hotel. It takes about 30 minutes walk to nearby subway station. You need to get the hotel address in Chinese so the taxi drivers know where to go. In general the hotel is new and good condition. Front desk staffs can speak English.

Nice and easy hotel

Our stay in the Victoria hotel was very pleasant. The staff is friendly and their English skills are pretty much OK. Would have been nice if there had been a babybed available in the room. The location of the actual address differs alot from the pointer on the hotels.com website, so take the full address printed otherwise the taxi driver wont find it. More business than leisure.

Its a nice property with good service and to top it all a Starbucks cafe in the hotel lobby. However, the worst thing is that there are no restaurants around the hotel. Every time you want to eat something(other then Chinese food as there is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel), you have to take a cab. If you want to go for a leisure walk in the evening, forget it. Property in itself is very good for the price.

This hotel is convenient for the fair. Lobby Starbucks is a huge draw. Rooms very clean and good size. Most of the staff really cannot speak very much English. A better lobby would be nice and a bar.

I selected the hotel based on it's location on hotels.com, but it showed to be fake. It was nowhere near the subway station it stated to be. However after staying there it worked out better than expected. Fairly easy to get taxi in the morning going to the Canton fair and evenings it wasn't too much trouble to get a taxi from the nearest subway to the hotel. Hotel rooms very nice for the price. The claimed Western restaurant weren't really that Western......

I had chosen the hotel based on it's location near to the subway, which it was nowhere near when it came down to it. The location shown on Hotels.com was incorrect. When that is said it did work out for us as it was easy to get a taxi in the morning to the Canton fair ground. Evenings still a problem though. Hotel rooms are good, but the western restaurant the hotel claims to have, is as far fetched as their location being near to a subway station.

I finally found the hotel. The location is nowhere near the location shown on the map on hotels.com. I booked the hotel because of it's location near to the metro as I'm tired of waiting for taxis in this city going to and from the fair every day - it's always a big hassle and a long wait.

Someone should check if the location, probably provided by the hotels, is correct or not. Even if you google the hotel address it comes out almost 2 km further up the road towards the city centre than where it really is.

Anyway, when that is said the hotel was good. Good and clean rooms and decent breakfast.

非常推薦

酒店環境好，乾淨衛生，附近有7-11便利店，房間每天給的樽裝水也足夠，最後就是打電話去前台拿卷紙也非常快送達。
包含的早餐也不錯，光是粥也有3款式，只是溫度不夠熱，建議可以調高溫度會更美味。
絕對推薦住這間酒店。
