It's a bit old but our Japanese style room was large and comfy. The staff was very nice. We did not have the chance to try the onsen but the free breakfast was delicious.

Stayed for one night in the Japanese style room. It was surprisingly comfy to sleep on the floor. Room was a bit old, the bathroom was generally clean, but a bit moldy and smelly. Everytime I had turned on the water, I heared it gurgle through an opening next to the toilet - that‘s probably where the smell was coming from. It‘s an old building, nothing to worry about for a short stay. The stuff has been very friendly. Their English is limited, but they do their very best to talk to you. Breakfast buffet quite good - Japanese style, but you don‘t go out hungry. Onsen also nice. Around 7 pm I was by my own. Hotel close to train station (about 5 min walk). Overall a good experience.

Only stayed in the hotel for a night, prior to my ferry journey to Osaka. I booked a Japanese styled room - sleeping on the floor, for the experience. Did take a while for me to get comfortable, but did sleep eventually. Nice room with a seating area, sea view and good amenities: fridge, kettle etc. An excellent breakfast in the morning, to set me up for the day. The hotel looked after my luggage after checkout, so I walked around the town and had an Onsen. Very much recommend a stay in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again, and for longer.

Pros:
1. Location: many bus stops nearby, and hotel is between 2 of the largest shopping centres in Beppu. So finding food is easy. There is also a nice restaurant opposite the hotel, Royal Host.

Con’s
1. We wanted to check in at 2 pm but staff was insistent to only let us check in at 3pm. So we waited at the lobby. There was no traffic in the hotel in that one hour and at 2.45pm, we were then offered the room. Why so rigid?
2. The hotel was unmanned at night, which may pose a security issue.
3. No daily mineral water was provided. There was a notice saying that the tap water can be drunk.
4. No daily cleaning service. Even bath towels were not replaced.
5. Hotel is old and tired looking.

A Secret Gem in Beppu

If your looking for a unique experience in Beppu this is the place. You can get the traditional Japanese Inn style or Western style room and the Onsen is very big with a sauna on the male and female side, body wash shampoo and conditioner are available at each of the wash station. They will come to your room around 1800 to set up your futon in your Japanese style room it's a lovely surprise after being out n about all day.

Very nice view from the window and room is big enough even for 10 people. The only one thing is that smell is not good. Smells like a smoking room. Everything else is really nice and it's only 8min walk from Beppy station so you can save your time. Specially it is really convienent and close to the station when you coming back tired from the onsens. But when you are in Beppu and enjoying onsens and sideseeing you will not stay in the room for long hours so it might be okay for short stay

I booked the ‘run of house’ type of room for three persons and was so thrilled to be assigned with a harbour view room which is large enough to cater for five persons. The Yacht club and shopping centre YouMe is within few minutes of walking distance. Many nice restaurants around. Good location for family vacation. The breakfast is very simple but indeed still enough to get yourself ready for a morning start.

Requested for early check in but it was denied when we arrived shortly after noon. Requested for directions for lunch and was given a map of several restaurants which had opened for lunch. Rooms was large enough for 4 and for just the 3 of us, we had extra room which came ensuite, a plus for a ryokan. The public bath was quite old but the water temperature was excellent. It's 10 minutes walk to Beppu train station but since we came by bus, the bus stop is just 100M away and that brings you to and from Fukuoka International airport.

The location is excellent. It was very easy to walk to from the Beppu Station. To my surprise that the receptionist wrote my name on the welcoming board. The hot spring was very soothing after a whole day sightseeing. Overall my stay was pleasant.

The traffic is convenient only take about 7 mins walk to JR station. The room is clean and tidy but the water pressure of the shower is very low as only in 7th floor. Many restaurants nearby. I will take this hotel for the first choice on my next trip.

It has a car park right in front of the hotel without charge.
There is a very good seafood restaurant just within a short walking distance.
The hotel also offer onsen and room is big and confortable for family of 3 or 4.
Shoudl have stayed 1 more night to cover Yufuin & Oita which are all within short driving distance.

Great old hotel, immaculate condition for age, very clean, polite and helpful staff. We stayed in a western-style room, but our family of 4 (2children) stayed in a Jspanese room. Both were excellent. The onsight onsen was very nice and the Jspanese breakfast was superb. Overall a gem at a very reasonable price.

Hotel was older and surfaces showed wear and tear but very spacious and clean. Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was beyond anything we expected from Japanese delicacies to the usual hotel fare they had everything. We only paid an additional 300 yen for the two of us. Our table was reserved and the waitress brought us tea and extra rice. The free hot spa was very nice and relaxing.

There is no shower head in the bathtub, just only hot & cold water taps, one had to use a plastic bowl to mix hot & cold water which is not practical.

Hotel decor is dated but clean

checkin was a breeze. However reception staff could brush up on their English skills. No probles with the basics like checking in. but we had some difficulties in getting the bus information for Beppu-kaihin Sunayu from the reception staff. In the end we gave up and approached the Foreign Tourist information Office along main street, half way between hotel and train station. The hotel offers a good value for your money. We stayed for 2 nights and was quite pleased.with the setup. There is a hotspring spa in the hotel, but nothing fancy.

Conveniently placed close to the train station, buss stop and ocean promenad this hotell (like most places in Beppu) had its highlight a decade or so ago.
Room was fin but a bit worn down (barroom was fresher!), mattresses were really comfortable. Their Ibsen was really nice with a beautiful ocean view.

和室で建物の古さは感じるものの手入れが行き届いており快適に過ごせた。温泉の大浴場では朝は朝日を、夜は海の夜景を見れたので何度も入りました。唯一評価を下げたのは大浴場の湯船の温度が低かったこと。別府は熱い温泉が多く、特に冬場は浴室内も寒いのでもう少し熱くてもよかったです。

大浴場の素足のエリアに海外の方がスリッパのままウロウロしていました。気にぬりました。
お掃除は、行き届いていたと思うのですが、かなり部屋がレトロで。
トイレの床の角などバレていたのが気になりました。古いので仕方ないかと思いますが。

また、オーシャンビューで、綺麗な日の出🌅をみることができ大満足でした。
寒い夜の到着でしたが、バス停から徒歩2、3分のわかりやすい場所で、助かりました。

몹시 오래되어 낡았지만 조식도 먹을만한 가성비 갑인 호텔입니다. 무료주차되고 인근에 백화점, 편의점, 고보 8분 거리에 돈키호테와 식당도 많이 있고 전망도 바다 전망이라 나쁘지 않았어요. 다만 대욕장이 너무 낡고 물도 깨끗해보이지 않아 좀 아쉬웠어요.
