Room was spacious enough and had the amenities you'd need. There are steps in front of the hotel so it made it difficult to carry heavy luggages. The two staff members who sat by the entrance door were very helpful and kind to carry the lugagge for us. Room service was provided daily, if you wanted. If you opted out of room service, the kind ladies still left the free daily water and towels by the door. The offer luggage storage before check in and after check out. The only negative was just the heater. We went during winter so it was cold in the room. The heater took a few hours to heat up when we turned it on ourselves but when the front desk turned it on for us, it warmed up automatically, which was odd.

Great staff but unfortunatly the air conditiner was broken and kept heating the room to 27 degrees. We ended up turning it off for the rest if the trip after they attempted to set the temperature but didnt change the heat.

Great mid price hotel,excellent location with cafes and restaurants and local supermarkets.I had a double room deluxe.Problem with the ac as it was set on heat so could not change to cool but did provide a fan.Overall great location and customer service.Walking to main palace and subway stations.Did not have the breakfast so cannot comment.

Hotel is very well located, with easily accessible subway lines, airport limousine bus and multiple bus stops. It's close to the city hall and the Gyeongbokgung palace, and it was a nice walk.
One point of concern is that the bathroom doesn't have a wall separating it from the beds, only frosted glass around the shower and the toilet, with only a curtain that divided the two spaces. Since we are travelling as group this was awkward and we had to use the lobby toilets frequently to have some privacy.
The beds were confortable and there was actual windows with a very nice view of the city.

Tiene aire acondicionado, esta muy cerca de la Calle Myeong Dong caminando, igual muy cerca caminando el Samurai y el palacio imperial. Super recomendable. El Desayuno no esta incluido y cuesta $15,000w, tiene huevo, jamon, boneles fritos, cafe, jugo, uvas, pan. Enfrente del hotel hay un starbucks

Had a really nice stay here and in a great location. Well connected with nearby subway lines, really close to Chyeonggyecheon Stream. The staff were all lovely and helpful (even when I was dumb enough to accidentally locked myself out of my room 😅). I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Seoul.

The Hotel Location was the best, close to myeong dong and namdaemun. There was lots of food options walking distance. Hotel was a little old but it was clean and staffs was the best, Super accommodating and cleaning lady was super friendly. There bed was super comfy and internet worked very well. If we ever go back to Korea we will be back at New Seoul Hotel! We were a family with 4 and all of us enjoyed our stay at New Seoul Hotel.

There are a lot of dining options in the area. It has easy access to the rest of the city. Comfortable stay but we find it sthat the washroom doesn’t even have a proper enclosure to separate it from the rest of the room.

We stayed for 4 nights in one of the bigger rooms on the 15th floor. There were 2 king beds.
Pros:
-There was a pantry with a microwave and sink and a laundry room (chargeable) on the 16th floor.
-2 lifts were fast
-train stations are within walking distance
-myeongdong is within 15 mins of walking
-Rooms are clean
-nice sitting area
-housekeeping is fast
Cons:
-there are steps leading up to lobby. Inconvenient with big luggage. Slope is at the back of the hotel, near the restaurant.
-room has no view. Blocked by tall buildings
-receptionist didn't speak English very well.
-separate lift to laundry and pantry was inconvenient
-not many eateries nearby
-aircon controls were in Korean. Even with Google translation, it was cold so we switched it off.
-check out time at 10am was early.
-breakfast was 7 to 9am. Too short. It should be till at least 10am.
Overall, it was ok.

I greatly enjoyed the location and found it a nice, quiet spot for obvious tourist destinations, while also being a perfect spot for surprise, late night dining down less obvious side streets. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The in-room wifi was my only complaint - as it was a little weak/spotty - but I imagine 99% of guests wouldn't even notice.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel New Seoul! The location is perfect - quiet, clean, and conveniently situated near City Hall train station. The concierge lady was very helpful during our evening check-in, making the process smooth and efficient. We appreciated that she even provided us with fresh towels daily, despite us not requiring housekeeping. The hotel's proximity to amenities like CU and Olive Young was a bonus. The hotel's location is also great for exploring nearby attractions on foot. You can walk to Myeong-dong in about 30 minutes. If you're looking for some natural beauty, the famous Cheonggyecheon Stream is just a 15-minute walk behind the hotel. For shopping, Lotte Supermarket at Seoul Station is only three bus stops away. Plus, the airport limousine bus stop is within a 10-minute walk, making travel convenient. We'll definitely be back!

I paid more on expedia for our room that our travel companions who booked on a different site so I was disappointed that we got the exact same room for a significantly more.

The property is on a small street. We booked a family suite with loft and that is on theb16th floor. The regular elevator only goes to 15th floor so we had to change elevators everytime we entered and left the unit. The other elevator is the service elevator and it smelled like trash.
The hot water in the shower was inconsistent. It would get really hot and then cool down, so not sure of it was just our unit or if the other ones had same issue but the water pressure was good.
The check out is 11am, which seems a bit early. Asked for late checked out and they charge 10k won per hour. There was no clear direction on how to get to the airport bus so walked a bit to find it.
The room was clean amd good size though.

The hotel is located at a corner between the Seoul City Hall and to various establishments. Very near to all amazing restaurants and cafes. There are convenient stores like 7-eleven & American fast food chain like McDonald’s, coffee bean, and Starbucks within the perimeter of the hotel. Will come back and highly recommended to everyone who would be traveling to Seoul Korea.

Pros:
Very good location for visiting Seoul, within walking distance to many palaces, museums, markets and shopping malls.
Some staff speak English. However, cannot help with booking taxi.
Fairly well maintained property. Decent size room with kettle, daily water bottle, small fridge and hairdryer.
Cons:
The ceiling lights in the room did not work throughout our stay, it was difficult to control the temperature of the shower and the washbasin did not drain well.

Very good centrally located hotel. Excellent friendly staff. Great rooms with everything. Only downside was not having breakfast included in the rate. We did pay Won 10,000 for breakfast one day but it was very poor. Very limited choice and they didn't even have black tea.

Also 5min walk to the hop on hop off starting point

10-15 minute walk to the nanta theater for an evening comedy show with no dialog (so no language issue) - and don’t miss the great Italian restaurant on the 11th floor of the same building.
Also 15min to night market.
The hotel is clean and recently renovated, so very nice.

The breakfast offering is quite limited, suggest the cafe in the lobby for breakfast

You won’t be disappointed by the quality and location of this hotel.

Location is the best! Walking distance to the palaces, the stream and Myeongdong. What we really like about or stay at New Seoul Hotel are the staff and crew, most especially to MS. LEE MINGYUK & MS CHO MONGOYONG. These ladies took care of us and very accommodating. They always greet you with a smile. They were always there whenever we needed some help. I just want to say I really appreciate the staff especially, Ms. Cho and Lee.

I booke 2 nights originally ended up staying one night. The area is okay close to palace but hotel is outdated and dirty. I found hairs on my matress and pillow also found coffee stain on tea cup. I asked dront desk to change my room or cleaned properly however he said all cleaning staff was off only i got offered was one extra single size sheet on top of the bed. It’s 11pm and i’m not familier with this area so satyed one night and next day had to move to other hotel.

The location of this hotel was ideal for our short trip to Seoul. There are a few KAL bus stops in the area so it was easy getting to and from Incheon Airport. Lots of walkable places like city hall and the Gyeongbokgung Palace. The main shopping area of Myeongdong was less than a 10 minute taxi ride and depending on who you’re with, it could easily be walkable. The room was a bit small and outdated but I’d say the location and price made up for it, especially if you don’t really plan to be in the room much. There’s a Starbucks right next door as well as a convenient store and other restaurants. Staff was friendly and helped us with our transportation back to the airport. If you’re coming from the states, you do need a power plug converter!

We stayed at this hotel during the Chinese New Year holiday and they provided very inadequate services during the holidays. No extra blankets and no extra buttle water when asked for them. The water pressure was very poor and no hot water when showering for 3 days. How could the hotel guest, with the temperature below 0 degrees outside, had to take shower with cold water. When asked to talk to the manager, the hotel manager was on vacation and no other managers were on duty. There is room for improvement in the English level of their housekeeping employees, using a online translator app to serve the guest was ridiculous. All in all, the accommodation was unpleasant and will not stay in this hotel again.

Overall, our stay at New Seoul Hotel was pleasant. We really enjoyed the spacious and clean room. The hotel was also located in the middle of Seoul which made sightseeing and shopping very, very efficient. We were within walking distance of everything which saved us heaps on transport! We only had a problem with the bathroom and the limited privacy (sound and smell) there was for a family of 4. Other than that, everything was great and comfortable.

Overall good. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and could communicate well in English. Location was good, especially with a 24hr dumpling shop next to McDonalds a short walk away. A famous BBQ restaurant also within 3 minutes' walk. However, room wifi did not work well. It was intermittent and we had to reconnect often.

Fair Hotel for a Fair Price

The hotel was \"okay.\" Probably nice back in the day, but is due for renovation. Great location, so prime candidate to be taken over by major hotel chain. Complete remodeling should be the first step. If current owners remain, I don't see them spending the money to compete with the major chains. We stayed two nights... I would not want to stay longer.
