The property was a bit less than expected, it feels a little dated, the lobby is very small, not many dining options - need to go to Marriott next door… for such an expensive room, it was below my expectation. The service was good mostly, except for 1 lady, Christine at the front desk, she was just plain rude the few times I’ve had to talk to her. The room was fine, nothing special, just a standard room. The great thing about it is that it’s close to Crypto arena, less than 10 min to USC, lots of restaurants near by in LA LIVE, nice movie theater across the street… so overall I’d stay here again.

Me and my family stayed at The Ritz in downtown LA for our son’s volleyball tournament. The beds are extremely comfortable. We loved how convenient it was to walk to the convention center. We felt safe in the location. We used the pool and it was at the perfect temp. We will definitely recommend staying here for comfort and indulgence.

The fantastic and relaxing stay

I had a fabulous stay, valat parking was fast and offered water, check in we got champagne and upgraded to a jr suite from a regular room. Free breakfast and added a 100.00 credit for lunch. Also they accommodated my daughters stay as well. the bellmen took us straight up to our room. Room service has good food, service calls was excellent, we had 9 guest come up to our room it was spacious and comfortable. We had a superb time

Property is really nice. Valet parking can get a little backed up - especially at end of day when residents are dropping cars off and valet can't keep up with the volume.
Area is OK - LA Live has limited retail and restaurants. Downtown - homeless population is growing

I paid more than other hotels to relax here, but I couldn't sleep because the fire alarm went off after 1 a.m. Also, I was going to sleep before 11 o'clock check-out, but the fire alarm rang again around 7 a.m. and again around 9 a.m. I couldn't sleep at the place where I went to rest and got stressed out. I will complain to the hotel.

Unfortunately, as Ritz Carltons are concerned, this property doesn't really cut the mustard. It felt like a big Holiday Inn Express, on the Las Vegas strip. Staff was nice tho.

I can't say enough about the staff! When we arrived the front desk guy was so nice and helped us with questions. The Danny our Bellman was so friendly and helpful as well. Room service, Pool Bar, and Valet staff were above and beyond. So refreshing to be able to still get this great service, even though it is what you expect from Ritz-Carlton, it does not go unnoticed and can't say enough great things about everyone we came into contact with at this property!

I had a reservation set for a corner room with a side to side window view of the city. When I arrived, I was told the room was not ready, and I such I would be upgraded to a higher level suite. Though the room was more spacious, I had a much less appealing view of the city. I could not help but feel that my original room was released to another party. This circumstance made it for a less expected planned treat for my wife and I. Overall, the stay was very nice, but could have been better.

I expected more since it was the “ritz”. No robes or refreshments in the fridge or snacks in the room. I came back late one night 2 am and there was no one at the front desk to let me in. I had to go through the residential side. Thank goodness someone was there at the counter.

I bought the service through a third party at hotels.com and I wasn't informed that I had to pay an additional $100 per night sorry I didn't get the room after all I am now in litigation with getting my room service fees returned because I was misinformed as a party that there would be any more out-of-pocket expenses after purchasing it through hotels.com.

Such great potential that missed the mark. It just doesn’t live up to the standard. Rooms here are older and housekeeping didn’t do a good job in the first room we checked into.
We were moved to an “upgraded” room for the trouble only to find it reeked of smoke and had dirty carpet and a dirty mirror.

We were offered free breakfast for the troubles of that room but it didn’t have any vegan options and the home fried I was able to order was cold and from a frozen pack, not hot at all. All in all, I will never stay here again..I will stick to four seasons which is the place I normally would stay.

The room was spacious, the beds and sheets were excellent (my wife is very sensitive about both of these). Cleanup of the room when we left for the day was very thorough and inviting when we return. The bar on the 24th floor was fun, as was the bar in the lobby of the Marriott next-door.Room service was excellent, although breakfast was quite expensive. I was there for the Emmys ..Paid a lot to be at the Ritz ..And all services were better accessible thru the JW Marriott..It was being updated and not said when I was booking ......I spent about $600 more than I needed. To ..Why would I stay at the Ritz when it was all available next door ??????
