I had a really great stay at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The staff were super friendly from the moment I arrived, which made the whole experience feel very welcoming. I also got a free room upgrade, which was such a nice surprise.

One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because of the gym, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The facilities are massive and the gym itself is really good and very functional, with everything you need for a proper workout.

My room had views of Downtown LA which I loved, and the rooftop views were also amazing. It’s such a cool place to just take in the city.

Parking was another big plus, it’s inside the hotel which makes everything super easy. I also booked through Expedia and got a discount, which made the stay even cheaper and totally worth it.

Overall, a really great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat! The pool, spa, and club were amazing. This is more like a full gym and clubhouse with hotel rooms on top. The sports bar had a surprisingly good Frito pie literally served in a Frito bag. The club area was such a fun place to hang out. This hotel is unique and absolutely worth the visit.

It is a nice building but we were not happy with the cleanliness of the room.

Visible dust on the ceiling in the restrooms tile, and when the curtains were open, you could see all of the dust flying around the space. Very difficult with allergies to bear. You would sit on the bench in front of the bed or move the curtains to open them and watch the dust fly.

While the building and its interior it beautiful, it does need some updates. Tiles in the bathroom had visible black build up in the cracks. Low water pressure with water that hardly was warm, calcium build up on shower head and faucet.
Really rough lighting in the vanity area and the room is dark with the brown walls.

It was unclear what amenities guest had access too and parking was unclear as a hotel guest. We had to google it in order to locate as there were several parking garages near the building.

Beyond Chipotle, there were not any family friendly dining restaurants due to its location in the city.

It would be an idea hotel for solo travel but not idea for families. We wish we would have stayed elsewhere as we ended up having to drive to our families activities and meals.

The staff were lovely, the location great and the facilities excellent. The room was another story. My bedspread was marked and stayed on my bed for both my nights stay ( despite letting them know about it when I first got there), I had to tighten the shower head before it fell off. All the lamps were rattly (loose fittings) and even the chair had loose arms. The furniture was bashed, the walls are marked and taps in the bathroom all loose. Four star hotel with 2 star rooms. Comfortable bed and good food but it really needs a referb or just get someone to go in and tighten everything up and touch up a few bits here and there.

LAAC was hands down the best place we stayed while on our trip and it was all down to the amazing staff. Every single member of the team we encountered was so helpful and friendly, going out of their way to help us and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were also amazing and the use of the basketball court, swimming pool and spa were a huge highlight for us. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone travelling to LA.

This hotel was shockingly iconic. What a treat! The way this place has been preserved, kept up with vintage caricature and antiques throughout. It really is amazing, there is no other place like it I can imagine. The rooms are very comfortable, the bed was great. The bathrooms are a little dated and small, but it has the essentials. Food was actually really reasonable in the hotel honestly. Even my family from a small town says that’s the same price we have back home. There are study rooms that look like a university library. Overall a must see.

LAAC is a great place to stay if you want to experience downtown LA. The amenities were awesome—we loved both the pool and the gym. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Our room was clean and very spacious, which was especially important since we were traveling with two teenage boys. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but I didn’t mind, as it clearly allowed for a larger room overall.
That said, the bathroom is in serious need of updates. The shower, in particular, felt more like something you’d find at a roadside motel or truck stop, which was disappointing compared to the rest of the hotel’s quality.
Overall, we had a great stay; the only real disappointment was the state of the shower.

Lacc is a great hotel and historical health club in the Downtown LA. Recently they renovated the entire sports complex and they done it very nicely. My wife love to line swim in the morning and they have indoor line swimming pool. Also we enjoy their gym, walk/running track and locker rooms/spa. Hotel staff are great and very friendly and eager to help you out from reception desk to Bar & restaurant staff.
We are keep coming back to the Lacc hotel when we stay in Downtown LA!!!

We came to town for the Sabrina Carpenter concert at Crypto Arena. Great hotel, easy walking distance to the venue. Lots of restaurants and shopping in DTLA. Rooms are comfortable, with lots of original details at this historic club and hotel. Overall great value and would stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, with a few caveats. The benefit of parking at the hotel is a huge bonus for this area given that downtown is congested and really never has a lot of open or affordable parking spots. The overall “vibe” of the hotel- it is reminiscent of an old whiskey lounge and you can feel the history tied to it. I also loved the breakfast options and all the staff working here.

Couple issues- their bathtubs are VERY slippery. I understand now why they have multiple bars in the tub. I fell down (I’m ok!) in the tub the first time I tried to take a shower. I felt that the hotel cleaning could be more thorough. On one of the last days I was there I found an old rag on the floor right behind one of the curtains. I will also say that because of the location, it can be a very active and noisy area at night. They DO provide earplugs, but I think they should make the doors and elevators swipe card activated. I noticed that while some doors are exit only, others are not and anyone can reach the hotel floors (10 through 12) just by being a member of the athletic club or wandering in off the street.

Finally, DO NOT use the QR system to order room service. I used the QR code to order dinner during my first night and waited over an hour and a half. I messaged the link/ number for updates and it kept saying it would provide an ETA and never did. I got a call to my room almost 2 hours later telling me it was an AI system and they never got my order.

Room was clean and location was convenient to public transportation, dining and shopping. Self parking available at decent price (for LA). Staff is friendly and helpful. Amenities are minimal and you have to request for room to be cleaned as they do not come automatically each day. Room is very small and bathroom lacked any counter space for your toiletries. A credit card hold of $100/day is collected upon check-in but as soon as you charge anything to room - they request to \"top-off\" the hold which I found rather strange. All-in-all, a good option for DTLA stay but don't expect a typical hotel experience.

The room reeked of mold. The furniture seems to have come from GoodWill. The toilet backed up. The bathtub was tiny. WiFi barely worked, so streaming not possible. TV choices were minimal and ad-heavy. The mini-frig was so mini that it melted a pint of sorbet all over the inside of the frig. Spent more than $600 a night for this and no staff response when I complained. The location was the only thing that worked. We'll NEVER be back.
