I enjoyed my stay, check in was smooth. I wouldn't recommend if driving as the property does not have on-site parking. Local parking garages were expensive. I would definitely stay again of flying into LA.

I loved how spacious the room was with a full kitchen. I love having a refrigerator that is bigger than a cubic foot since we like to bring snacks and drinks. Perfect family room. The staff was extremely friendly. The lobby was clean. There isn’t parking on site but they recommend a parking garage 1 block away that is very safe. The neighborhood is sketch but this felt like a very safe space to stay. This was the perfect place to stay for a show at the orphium theater.

This Hotel is clean but bare bones, no carpets, phone on the wall in the hallway not on table near the bed. Noise from the street is quite loud. Apartment smelled like smoke
even though it is supposed to be smoke free. Furniture is cheap and not comfortable.
The exterior is okay until you walk onto the sidewalk where you are likely to encounter, homeless citizens and drug use. Walking to the garage was an adventure, I rather not repeat.
Parking: misleading
Although the staff was extremely nice and competent the stay was not pleasant du to
location, bare bones interior and parking.

Super spacious rooms, nice kitchen area, comfy living room and bedroom. There only drawback is the neighborhood. It is definitely sketchy. I was ok walking to my conference 10m during the day but did not feel sane walking back to hotel in the evening, and certainly could not go for a run in the morning.

The room was very spacious and great for longer stays with the full kitchen. However, the parking situation was really frustrating. Both garages charge you every time you come and go, so just keep that in mind. There’s only one pretty tight entrance to the hotel with limited parking areas, so plan accordingly. The staff was also very hit and miss, the lady that checked us in was very nice and then the next few were a lot less pleasant. I called one day for extra towels and before I could even finish my sentence, the girl cut me off and told me to come down and get them myself, which I found very rude.

Everything was good considering we only slept there. I wish pictures were better because it looked like we had a huge couch but it was small. There was no pictures of the room with the 2 beds so we didn't know how the lay out would be until we got there. The living room was very hot and it was uncomfortable being there for more than 30 minutes.

This room was just what I needed. Perfect. Small condo. The only problem I had and the reason for 4 stars was the noise. The sound seeping into our room from outside was so loud I thought a window was open. This was a Tuesday. I can only image what it would be like on a weekend.

I really wanted to like this place because the location is great and the pictures make it look super cute and boutique-y, but it ended up being really disappointing.

The bathroom was honestly awful. The shower head was broken and spraying water everywhere. Once the hot water finally got going (which took a while), there was this insanely loud screeching noise that wouldn’t stop unless you turned the faucet all the way off. On top of that, there were random super loud rumbling noises coming from behind the wall (maybe the water heater?), which made it even worse. There were also old soap drips/suds still on the wall before I even used the shower, and the toilet paper shelf was grimy and looked really old.

The floors were filthy. I walked around barefoot for a minute and when I stepped into the shower, my feet were literally covered in black dirt.

The beds were uncomfortable and SO creaky. Even just changing positions made loud noises, which made it hard to sleep.

There were also just a bunch of weird/neglected details—like strips of tape hanging down from the ceiling (probably from old decorations?), and some dried yellow/orange substance dripping down the wall above the staircase.

The whole unit smelled musty.

The pictures are pretty misleading. The downstairs bar is way smaller than it looks and feels awkward to sit in because you’re basically right next to the check-in staff. No one explained how to access the rooftop area or if it was even open.

The area is not the best, but the hotel makes your stay comfortable, specially when you have kids. Being in downtown LA makes it easier to move around other places in the California area. This has been our second time staying at the Haas Bldg.

Very central location in Downtown LA we used the metro many times and it’s only a short walk to the station. Clean and spacious with everything we needed for a short break and more.
The reception and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful everything was good and we plan to stay again in September.

Staying at this hotel was one of the worst experiences we've had. We were subjected to very loud, nonstop noises from police sirens, ambulances, people, and cars racing until 3-4 AM, with no double-glazed windows to reduce the noise. We couldn't sleep during our stay. Minimal furniture, lacking drawers and mirrors, and the another negative point was the bedroom ceiling, which looked unfinished. The pictures on the website did not resemble what we encountered. We are extremely disappointed.

Check in is in a bar; bed is a foam mattress; our room stared straight at a brick wall with almost no natural light; the kitchen didn’t have a tea towel or any baking equipment. The lights flickered, they don’t do housekeeping, the laundry takes only coins and the front desk don’t have any (despite there being signage to ask them for it); the guest wifi doesn’t work (thankfully a helpful person gave us the staff wifi login).

On the whole the staff were friendly, but the hotel quality leaves a bit to be desired.

Room was amazing. This hotel used to be apartments so the room is very spacious, with a great kitchenette and dining set up at on end. Spotless. Great location. Helpful and friendly staff. Only downside is no onsite parking, but it’s downtown Los Angeles, so can’t be helped. Good parking garage nearby.

Very nice stay water was hot, kitchen was clean provided the pots, pans and utensils, paper towels was a nice touch full refrigerator full oven and range. And the room was spacious with a big closet to iron and store all of our clothing. The outside provides security and the tap to touch elevator made us feel very safe. Roku was a plus! Very nice stay overall will be returning!

Staff were welcoming, however, extremely deceptive. Don’t bother taking anything for “free”. They will just charge you later on for said thing. The worst part was finding trash in the room I’m staying in, and not knowing if the room had been cleaned. This just made the stay overall uncomfortable. The elevator was nice though.

The room was veey clean, the kitchen is full.size. No onsite parking is a pain, but is available across the street for $30 a night.
(The grout on marble flooring ahould be addressed everywhere. It really.makes the property look dirty and its not. Alao, the caulking on bathroom vanity really needs replacing! It also brings down the cleanliness esthetic. Overall, great room, and professional staff!

I was nervous about the area driving in, but in the end I’m glad we decided to stay. Was a really nice room, felt more homey than any other room I’ve stayed in. Staff was very nice and despite it being in a questionable area it feels really safe there you have a nice area to hang out in front of the door that’s clean and feels private, even though it’s right on the busy street. Food and some shopping is in walking distance and even though there’s no parking lot for the hotel itself, the parking garages are really easy to get to, and the staff even recommended one that has more security. So it wasn’t as much inconvenience as you think it would be. Overall, it was a great!

Great stay in Downtown LA. The staff is wonderful. The room was perfect. I loved everything in, out and around the apartment. The Haas is definitely saved as one of my favorites. Parking is the only issue in LA anywhere you go and tons of homeless people. But that's just how Los Angeles is. There was a $15 parking garage that was conveniently across the street. Highly recommended. Other than parking this is the best stay for the price in Downtown LA

The property itself was nice and clean. Some beds were not as comfortable as I would’ve liked to them to be. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location isn’t ideal as the area feels unsafe, however, it’s good to know that this nice property exists in the event we need to stay in downtown LA again in the future.
