Their lobby area alone was amazing, and had a bar on the back side. Lots of cool decor, really fun environment. Huge plus, there’s a really good toco truck right across the street. Also just a small walk to grand central market.

Easy check-in process, well designed space with a bar that features light foods. Close to things downtown.
The room was wonderful and had really awesome features. It had a tablet that allowed you to control the powered curtains the LED lights in the main room and the bathroom and also control the TV and the AC.

We definitely enjoyed our stay, but shocked with the tightness of the room. We were later informed this is consistent across the other CitizenM properties. Great for solo travelers or a couple. Maybe not the best for two besties with too much stuff. Overall a great stay and we enjoyed the decor and vibe!!!

If you haven't stayed in a European-style budget hotel before, be aware. This is not a traditional large American-style hotel with lots of storage and furniture. The sink is in the bedroom. there is a small shelf and hanging clothes nook and the bed takes up literally the rest of the room. A small shower and the toilet are in a small area behind frosted glass.

The bed is pretty comfortable and the hotel is fine. It tries too hard to be \"hip\" or whatever, but that's marginally pointless. Having all the controls to the room TV, thermostat, curtains, etc., all on an ipad is pretty nice.

The area is outside the convention center/basketball arena part of downtown LA but is very walkable to bars and restaurants. There is also substantial transit in the area, both light rail and various buses.

All in all, for the price, it is a place to stay if you aren't going to be in the hotel very much. Good for sleeping and that's about it.

Ok This is what I’ll say … for people who are not tech savvy… it was too complicated to turn on the Tv, turn channels and etc… but that’s just me… Too Hi Tech… room was definitely too small. And the bathroom felt like I was in a recording studio. Now I’m in the 60th age rage which is not old. But we like things simple.My young adult children would have love it! 🙌 Now Breakfast was Fabulous and Thank you! The hotel it self was very clean and Beautiful ❤️Parking was a bit much but what do you expect in the City 😃

Excellent! If you want easy access to museums in DTLA. However, i have to say if you call the hotel and want anything - like a receipt, credit for staying, or to just check whether they found something you might have left behind, finding an actual human to talk to might be impossible. Marriott is fine as long as you are on premises - after that its all next to impossible to get assistance. If you do get through, you will have to go through hoops to get what you need because marriott has many many processes.

This property really exceeded my expectations! The staff was soooo cool and helpful! It has a trendy LA vibe to it and was quick walk to the Grand Central Market with a variety of food options. Despite being a small room, it had everything we needed and it was spotless. The breakfast was pretty good for a hotel buffet.

As many know this is a hip chain of techcentric hotels. An ipad controls most of the lights and media in the room. For those less familiar with electronic devices this could be a challenge. The rooms are meant to offersuper efficient understated luxury. Comfort is designed to fit a smallish space. The bed is large and comfortble, but short people may have a hard time launching themselves into bed. The shower and toilet are put together for efficiency. A small sink sits along the mid wall opposite the bath. Razors, shave soap, dental kits handed out at registration which is also a test of tech savvy, LOcation is in downtown LA which has struggled to regain its mojo. Walkable to Little Tokyo, Chinatown and the Music Center as well as the Central Market and one of my favorite restaurants Maaccheroni Republic.

I stayed for two nights and was treated rudely from the minute I arrived. The girl at the front desk was “busy” on her phone and pointed to the check-in screen. I had to interrupt her to ask for a key card. When I had a hard time tapping my credit card, she snapped at me that I was tapping it in the wrong place. What kind of front desk customer service is this?
Everything there is “communal” including the soap dispensers and shampoo, which is annoying. The rooms are claustrophobic.
The gym has treadmills and free weights, but no machines.
The worst was the mild smell in the bathroom which I only discovered after taking a shower, the smell permeating the whole, tiny room. I asked to be moved to a different room for the second night, and the guy at the desk said “It needs to be sprayed with something so we can re t it out for tomorrow.” how about deep cleaning the mold?” That would be great.
And I got a view of a wall with graffiti, which could only be described as ghetto and bleak. They should’t even rent out those rooms.

What lingered, besides the smell, was the rude vibe of the hotel workers, who acted like the “citizen” ethos of the place is to not be too nice and not give anyone special treatment, but this translated into cranky rudeness. Never again.

Clean hotel, loved the look and the service was easy check in. If you lived in Europe these small rooms and appliances are very much like the ones you’ll see there. Very IKEA coded. Only downfall is the service when I called in didn’t seem like they knew what they were talking about when it came to parking.

From the website images, we thought it was too small for us. However, we managed and felt it was a great experience.
Everything in the room is well designed and enjoyed the cleanness, technology comfort and convenience.
The ground floor amenities are so good for everyone especially drinks. I have asked multiple times of getting hot water and every time I felt welcome by the staff. Citizens M is a very well managed hotel that makes the guests comfortable. Will stay here again if we visit L A later.

Did book premium view but was only placed on the 4th floor, and was told this was a premium view. But the site stated it would be the highest floor, would spend the extra money for “premium”. Called for an extra towel 3 hours before check out it never came. Other than that my stay was great.

신박한호텔... 리뷰에서 싱글여행자한테 좋은평가를 받았던데 나 역시 그렇게 생각함.둘이서 한방에 머물긴 좀 작을수있는데 혼자머물기엔 여기보다 가성비좋은 호텔은 다운타운앨에이에 없을듯함.펫 알러지가 심한편이라 호텔을 찾을때도 Pet free 호텔을 찾는편인데 시티즌엠을 알기전엔 일박에 400불내고 JW Marriott에 머물렀씀.여기 3박에 400불 조금 넘으니 참 저렴...쾌적하고 방에구비된 아이패드로 거의모든 기능을 컨트롤할수있어서 편함.방이 작다보니 커피가 없지만 그정도는 애교로봐줌..작은 서랍식 냉장고도 있으니 웬만한건 다 갖추고 있다고 보여짐.마지막으로 레인샤워 수압좋고 침대매트레쓰가 extra firm이고 시트가 부드러워 딱 내스타일.앞으로도 엘에이에 여행가게되면 내 원픽호텔임.

Clean room, but small. Reminded me of a cruise ship cabin. I stayed here because it was the least expensive place in proximity to an event I was attending. I guess it's trendy and arty? If you're a college student you'll probably enjoy the resynthesized pop art aesthetic, I guess I've aged out. There were some comfy chairs and couches in the lobby, which is conceptualized as a sort of communal \"living room,\" for the guests, which I think is a nice idea. Also has a convenient coffee bar, which made average espresso, but the staff was nice. Plenty of things around within walking distance.

The first thing I noticed when I arrived was the absence of a conventional front desk. Instead, there’s a large table with iPads where guests can check in and even program their room key cards. Despite the self-service setup, there’s always someone nearby checking the ID's and happy to help.

At first glance, the room didn’t seem particularly large compared to other hotels, but it quickly became clear how thoughtfully everything had been designed. As you enter, there’s a compact closet area with hangers and a shelf, while the opposite side features practical wall hooks. The entire layout is functional and well organized.

The bathroom design is also quite unique. The shower and WC are enclosed in a glass structure with colored lighting that still manages to provide a comfortable sense of privacy.

One of the highlights is the in-room iPad, which allows you to customize the lighting color and intensity. It also controls almost everything else in the room, including the temperature, TV, lights, cleaning schedule, and blinds.

There’s also a small desk next to the bed, along with additional storage space underneath it, including a safe box. Overall, the room offers plenty of smart and efficient storage options.

We did not have breakfast. the room was quiet. The A/C worked well. The bed (king size) is only accessible from one side as the other side and the head and foot of the bed are against the wall. You have to climb over the other person to get in and out of bed

Staff was kind & considerate, while the property was of impressive cleanliness. However, the reason why I am giving it a terrible rating is not because of the hotel, but with Expedia. This platform invalidated the reservation I made, yet had no issue charging my card upon booking the reservation. When I arrived to the hotel upon check in, the staff shared with me that the payment had failed, so Expedia had cancelled the reservation. I was frustrated because I have proof of receipt (my card being charged when I initially booked the reservation), yet they said they did not have it on file, so I had to book a new reservation for that day. Not only was it inconvenient because the cost of stay increased, but also as a frequent customer that enjoys Expedia & often refers the platform to my network, this was especially frustrating to experience. Additionally, I attempted to call customer service (multiple times), and not only was it extremely unhelpful, but the staff I had conversations with were unable to provide any quality assistance & simply gave baseline, generic responses. This has made me reconsider future bookings through a third party platform such as Expedia. While I came across the hotel through the platform, I will now reconsider booking through Expedia & simply book trips through the individual site.

This whole building is brand new and really cool design with super funky lobby and bar / restaurant area for guests to hang out together . Rooms were small but very well designed and super clean and well stocked with everything you need for a couple of nights stay
