Older property but fine for one night. The onsite bar is open but looks nothing like the photos. Cocktails can’t be made as they have limited liquor, mixer and bar basics. We were on the second floor which had windows that opened but did not lock (glad I didn’t notice that until the next morning). Bed was okay, room was clean, breakfast decent. Not sure I would stay again if I were in the same area.

Reins are actually quite nice. However, elevator is out of order and has apparently been out of order for months. meaning, you’re hauling all your own bags up and down multiple flights of stairs from underground parking lot to upper floors. Total drag.

Also, this hotel is owned by parent company Best Western, meaning, the “free” breakfast is awful. You’re much better off spending a little money and walking across the street to Tian’s Dim Sum for an authentic chinese breakfast. You’re in Chinatown after all, so why not?

But… rooms are great and will stay here again IF they ever fix elevator. Which at the rate they’re going, could be months or even years.

The elevator was broken. Looking back on past reviews it’s been that way for at least a year. No warning before booking. I just had neck surgery recently so walking 3 flights of stairs with luggage wasn’t fun.
The key cards deactivated every day causing us to have to walk the 3 flights even more to be able to get into our rooms again.

The Elevator was not working. Traveling with my wife that is on a leg cast was not ideal having to go up and down stairs. When we first checked in we asked if the elevator was going to be fixed and the man behind the counter snapped back saying that it had been out of service for a long time and that if I wanted a refund and look for another hotel he would do that. That came across as rude because I wasn’t asking for a refund, my only question was if it was going to be fixed during our stay. We decided to stay there because most of our trip was in and around Chinatown LA.

Great spot walkable to Dodger stadium. Free hot breakfast with pancakes, waffles, yogurt, fruit, sausage, potatoes, cereal, oatmeal, and more. Loved the LA and Dodger decor and game snacks/water. Underground parking small but sufficient. Other cheap lots nearby and lots of Chinese food in Chinatown. Across from school and near gas station. Only complaint no working elevator so lots of stairs with bags was a pain.

Staff was super kind, but the room was clean but my bed was uncomfortable. The sheets were super hard and scratchy. There was nothing open when I came back from the game and it is not a 13 minute walk to Dodger Stadium. I’m a little frustrated because that was one of the reasons why I stayed there.

Chandler, my new buddy at the cafe/new breakfast area. Exceptional customer service!!! He made excellent coffee that was FREE. He was very kind and to us and my daughter who is autistic and had some difficulties asking for a muffin. He made us feel so welcome it was exactly what we needed feeling so far from home. The rooms were very clean and nicely upgraded. I will definitely be back.

Breakfast menu was average, for what it was, as a chef I was not impressed, so I have to say it was adequate.
The elevator was out of service, and I just had a knee replacement so it was quite a challenge to be on the third floor, with an additional 3 floors from the garage to the lobby.

The elevator does not work as of the time of this review and appears to have been dysfunctional for at least a month based on other reviews. I overall enjoyed my stay and would stay again. My only real gripe was the AC unit in the room would cause the window to vibrate making a terribly loud noise, thus we had to turn the AC to low and could not go higher otherwise it sounds like a jackhammer.

I really enjoyed staying here. The location was close to the Train station so easy to get a ride to and from. The hotel was nice and very clean and comfortable! The staff was friendly and helpful and very courteous. The hotel was close to good restaurants and many amenities such as hair and nail salon, pharmacy, boba tea. We received free breakfast that was delicious and more than you can eat. We would absolutely stay here again in the future.

I stayed here recently and had a pretty disappointing experience. The elevators weren’t working, which made getting to my third-floor room a hassle. The room itself looked clean at first, but I found hair on the floor and even a dead, squished roach, which was unsettling.

Noise was also a big issue — by 6 AM, the sound of traffic, trash trucks, and construction right next to the hotel made it impossible to get any rest.
