The hotel staff live on the premises. When you do not want to be disturbed, they knock on your door anyway, despite the do not disturb sign being placed on the door. The maintenance man was yelling and screaming obscenities and saying the N word while walking around the hotel one morning. The laundry room is out of order and the door is locked, so you cannot do any laundry. The gym is also out of order and off limits. Every morning, you will shower with cold water. The front desk staff are rude and have no customer service skills at all. The room I stayed in had mold in the bathroom, and stink bugs in the room. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced.

This is a good find for the price. Staff is very kind and friendly. The beds are comfortable and rooms are clean but the owner needs to put some money back into the building. There are several things that need repaired ie. old molding ceiling in bathrooms, stained tubs, rusted hardware.

Wasn’t the best at being clean. There was some dried urine on the toilet. Could use a deep clean as dust in the corners. The remote wouldn’t work besides changing the tv channel, but the mattress was so comfortable. I would stay there again

Staff like to jump out of no where and scare the guests the staff like to run there mouths about other staff and guests and on the 3rd floor theres a person at the end of the hall who will yell and scream at 3 or 4 in the morning. And they dont even have a decent breakfast like they clam on there site all it is is a muffin and orange juice.. and the rooms are dusty dont seem to me like its worth almost 800 every 2 weeks but its not a constant pay either price changes based opon if the staff like you or not ..and the staff also like to blame guests for things they dont do.
Id honestly like a refund

There was no breakfast as offered, just coffee. Air conditioner noisy, toilet noisy and water kept running, bathroom ceiling peeling, took a very long time to get hot water for a shower, the sign outside had letters missing. Just run down and not cared for. Staff certainly didn't seem to care. Will never go back!

There seem to be several long-term residents at this motel, who walk around the grounds and premises in attire such as slippers and housecoats. Not a very attractive image. The property is old, but the room I was in was fairly nice. The staff seems to be a good group of people trying to make the best of an aging facility.

First of all I have asthma and there was no elevator my room was on the third floor, they should secure a certain amount of rooms for people with specific needs such as that especially if no elevator ,also it smelled like mildew throughout the hotel . The front desk staff was so rude to us after we arrived exhausted at 2 am. We told him we were checking in and we were tired and he said we needed to wait a minute for him to put his paperwork away. Really? Plus I had mobile checked in already. Then he proceeded to give us a long dissertation about how if the room was unacceptable it didn’t matter we’d be charged anyway. Omg I’ll never go back there.

I was a bit disappointed because the air conditioner was covered in dirt and dust, and it was causing me to cough all night long by the debris coming from the air conditioner into the air. The rugs were dirty my feet were black from just walking on the rug. The bathtub was stained from the black from peoples feet because the carpets were dirty. Their continental breakfast consisted of a muffin and a bottle of orange juice in a brown paper bag and you had to ask for that at the front desk. The beds were comfortable the sheets were clean, the towels were clean and very soft but other than that, I was not too impressed with this hotel. And I will not be returning to that hotel again.

Strange group outside. Grandma in her pjs, a picnic table, several people, a grill and chairs in a circle. All There at 9pm and again there at 9am. Hmmm….
Also, continental breakfast was a muffin in a brown bag and a small Sunny D. Not as advertised.

3) The room exhibited signs of cobwebs on the ceiling.
4) During check-in, we were informed of a grab-and-go breakfast option, including muffins and juice. However, upon visiting the lobby in the morning, no breakfast items were available. After inquiring at the front desk, a muffin was provided in a paper bag, and we were informed that juice was out of stock.
5) Bathroom was not clean.

This hotel is not ADA compliant. It has three floors and no elevator. Being a senior citizen. I had to haul my luggage up three stories of steps. They supposedly have breakfast included, which is not true. the picture shows what appears to be a decent breakfast when in truth the so-called breakfast there’s nothing more than a muffin and juice. On the positive side the room was decent and has been remodeled and refurbished I would say within the last few years. It is also very convenient off the Frankstown exit of I 99.

Easy to find, right off the highway. Plenty of parking. Front desk staff could have been friendlier - very defensive when answering questions about the hotel and its policies. There wasn’t anyone on site to replace the batteries on a chirping smoke detector, but we were able to switch rooms. The second room was kinda run down…safe falling off the wall, literally. It was a clean property but things are worn and need replacing. I did like the fireworks show over the ballpark across the highway from the hotel parking lot . It was a nice surprise! Plenty of stores nearby. Not sure I’d return again though. The price was good but I would probably look around first before booking here again.

Issues with checking in which the guy at the front desk was nice about and got flustered because he felt bad. They’ve removed the hot breakfast and now only offer a boxed orange juice and a muffin. Walls in the bathroom have water damage that looks painted over which is the 2nd different room I’ve had here with that. Outer quilt on the bed did not seem to be recently changed/washed as I was able to flake dried food off of it. This was my last trip using this hotel.

First room 207 had a flickering bathroom light and a urine smell, and the tv did not work, Clerk said he couldn't do anything about it. My husband suggested he relocate us which he did to room 209. There was a dried booger on the bathroom sink which I cleaned up while gagging. Room okay but neighbors in room 211 were banging around, then turned on TV at 1:30 am until 3:30 am at a LOUD volume - sounded like banging drums, or taps. I got two hours of sleep max. Walls are thin, lobby keeks from bad air freshener that does not mask cigarette smoke.

Very Disappointing Stay – low standard

I had a very poor experience at this hotel. The room was not cleaned properly, and the washroom tap was loose and wobbly. The reception staff was extremely rude during check-in and refused to answer any questions, which made the experience even worse.

The overall standard of the hotel was far below expectations — definitely not worth the price. Although breakfast was included, it consisted of nothing more than an old, pre-packaged muffin and a child-sized orange juice. I've never encountered such a low-quality breakfast offering before.
I would strongly advise against staying at this property.

Well the website says breakfast included..i went down and there was Nothing to eat. Although the man at the desk said yes there is bkf and asked if i wanted blueberry, chocolate chip or another flavor muffin. Then proceeded to give me a muffin in a paper bag and carton of juice..not good. Also no elevators for three level hotel. Not an easy task for older adults with luggage..think super 8 can do better. Positive note room was comfy and clean..

I will never go back to this hotel ever again. The rooms were filthy, they had an odor, the staff was uneducated of what was going on with their jobs at best. My family had to deal with the noise and the people who were actually living at the facility. I will be demanding a full refund.

Let’s start with the good. The property is very close to PNG ballpark for Curve games. The hotel was also reasonably priced. That is unfortunately where the good comes to an end. The staff you can tell absolutely hate their jobs. Both check in and check out were not even close to a friendly experience. The hotel could also use some updates. It is showing major signs of wear and tear. Also there were always people hanging around back of the property which seemed very sketchy. It honestly seemed like the meetup spot where people buy their drugs. Next time I will spend the extra money to stay somewhere nicer and safer.

Also it indicates that breakfast is included…… well it certainly isn’t breakfast that you would think it is, all they have to offer is coffee which is on the counter, ok and to go muffins you have to ask for.

The first floor is all full-time residence, but there are only about five cars. Until it gets dark outside, then the backside of the parking lot turns into a trap house the drug dealers just sit back there all night serving the residence narcotics.
Probably not safe for families or women that are traveling alone

I was traveling through, so the location was excellent. I arrived late in the evening, so it was nice that there was convient nearby food options. The TV remote would turn on and off the TV, but not allow you to change the channel. This was most likely an easy fix, but it was late so I didn't bother. There was also one set of towels. I was traveling solo for one night, but it would have been nice to have an additional set. Again, I am sure if I asked, they would have been provided. All of the staff that interacted with was super friendly. The only other thing was that I was prompted by the Super 8 to check in online. I went ahead and did that, and then had to do it again when I arrived. Overall, it I was stopping through again, I probably would stay again.

Will never stay there again. Got in around 1130-1145 pm. By time we got settled in bed and in the room was almost like 130. By 3:07 getting women up to being bit. Turned lights on bed bugs all in the bed. Went to get service desk. Took 2 out to her . Attendant was great. Management not so much. Refused to give refunds and said it was fleas. Now mind you I have picture of the bugs. Terrible all around. And hotel will not take accountability for their rooms and how terrible the issue is

It was a place to stay for the night which is what I needed but I would not stay here again. Only the front entrance to the hotel works, all other doors were broken. Property was not well maintained at all. Also even though I confirmed with the clerk that they would serve breakfast, as he said “at 6am sharp” I checked at 6:30, 7:15 and 7:45 and not so much as a pot of fresh coffee was available. One of the reasons why I booked here is because they included breakfast and I wanted to get an early start on my day. I don’t like being lied to, if you’re not going to serve breakfast just tell your guests that you are not. Don’t use it as selling point to book rooms. Many many other options in this area that are far better at this price point.

I would not recommend this hotel.

The smoke alarm went off twice and we had to leave our room. I did the online check in process and then I had to go through the process all over again. This hotel is unique I had to present my husbands ID also. At 11:00 promptly we got a call that we 11:00 is check out time. They forget the times smoke alarm went off. The breakfast was a banana nut muffin and orange juice. That has changed since our last visit. This is our 4th or 5th stay at this hotel. We stay there because it is so close to PNG Field aka Altoona Curve park. I think it will be our last visit.

I stayed here just passing through to break up my travel. I stayed here twice, on my way up to my destination and on my way back home. I stayed in a different room each time . Both room's bathrooms were not clean. There were pubic hairs on the sink and the toilets weren't clean. When I stepped into the shower in the second room the tub's floor was very slippery.

Maybe it's fine for a place to stop at for sleep only if you can get a discounted price. Otherwise I could not recommend it based on cleanliness.

My concerns about the attitude of the front desk clerk upon checking in were expressed both to him and to the morning desk clerk. Having once had that job I definitely know how it’s supposed to be done. He talked too fast and didn’t look up from the screen. Being hearing impaired is bad enough without having some one treat you like that.
