Decently convenient for what we needed. Had a nice King suite. A bit outdated like the rest of the hotel. Very clean bathroom which was nice. Don’t get the chance to use or see any amenities- we were in very late and out early. Parking lot was closed off for repairs? Had to street park a ways away as the overflow lot was full and nothing else nearby. Right off the interstate. Very loud, late arriving neighbors kept me up most of the night.

Was a little disappointed at how rundown this hotel looked in-person compared to the online photos. The ceiling in the bathroom had water damage and the thermostat would not keep up to cool the room. The biggest issue was their shuttle service. It took us to an event but then could not pick us back up as we found it was involved in some sort of incident. We were left to figure out our own way back. The hotel staff was not apologetic about the incident and initially was not answering our calls to the front desk upon our first calling to be picked up. Definitely ruined our experience as we were not familiar with the area we visited. Will say the room was clean and the price was reasonable for just one night.

Booked this stay as my mother was having surgery across the street. Had no idea parking was closed. No signs anywhere to show customer's where to park, what door they need to enter, walked in to a bucket catching rain. Check in was a disaster. Staff was nice but the situation was just more of a cluster than it needed to be. Check out was even worse. No notes explaining how the rooms were being paid and pretty sure its messed up.

Poor parking situation, no signage off if street for temporary \"unloading\" area due to construction. We had to lug everything across the street with no luggage cart available. Asked for a close room to friends and was given a room 9 floors above them when the room next door was empty. They went and complained so we got the room in the end, but why was request blatantly ignored? Young gal checking us in was very rude, however the guy that fixed her err or was very understanding. There was a big wrestling tournament going on while there which is fine, but we booked for a pool and our kids were unable to swim when they were free because it was closed. It was open Friday night when we were busy, but was told Saturday they didn't clean it, so they didn't open it. Definitely didn't get the service we paid for.

The rooms were dinghy. Shuttle was horrible we ended up having to uber back and forth to the Casey Center. The parking was absolutely the worst and inconvenient. Should have advertised you would have to park so far away and lug your luggage through the snow. Should of had discounts for all the inconveniences. Soda machines were sold out our entire 3 day stay. Carpet in our room was so dirty it was crunchy. Worst experience ever. Dont be deceived by their pictures like I was. Never will return.

First, not sure why the hotel parking lot and garbage were closed. We had to park across the street from the hotel, in the Mercy One Hospital parking lot. We wouldn't mind the walk if it weren't below zero and we didn't have to carry our belongings.

Secondly, the room walls are super thin. You can hear your neighbor from the top, left, and right. If you want a quiet night's sleep, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless they tear down those thin walls. It was just terrible.

Third, breakfast was not included, which was another disappointment. $27 and more for two people for breakfast. At that point, we would rather go somewhere else for a cheaper or better breakfast.

Lastly, the staff was nice, and so was the lady working at the hotel bar. Overall, we wouldn't stay there again.

The parking was terrible. The actual parking lot is closed for some reason so we had to park across the street and walk through the snow. The night and day staff at the desk were rude and short. The pool was FREEZING! The air in the pool room was outside temperature (10
Degrees) We ordered food and it was brought to the desk and NO ONE notified us. We finally went down and the person said it had been there for 40 minutes. Our room phone didn’t work. The thermostat was so touchy. It would go from 68-79 on about five minutes.

The only thing nice about this place was our room was clean. I will never stay there again.

We could smell weed outside our room, the parking lot was closed so we had to park across the street. We were next to the hospital so there were lots of sirens. None of the ice machines worked. You would think with the inconvenience you would get free breakfast but you had to pay for it which was not great. Would not stay there again.

Hotel was good option for walking to Casey Center for Paul McCartney concert. Lobby was filled with concert goers end of evening, and it took hotel over 30 minutes to open stairwell. People were piled up in lobby, security was nowhere to be found, and front desk didn't have keys to open stairwell. People were tired, had to use bathroom, etc, and it took too long to accommodate the guests needs.

The staff recommended opening the window to help cool the room which helped but the traffic from the highway was extremely loud. If you plan to stay here, bring your own fan. Also, the parking lot is closed due to structural hazard (for over a year) and you have to park a half-block away.

Where do I start. Let’s start with parking. There was no onsite parking during a huge wrestling tournament and with that amount of people at the hotel there was maybe 40 spots and once you left it was a gamble getting back in. After that it’s just little things like being there for 3 nights and never seeing housekeeping. I had to go to the front desk for plastic cups, fresh towels and more toilet paper. Also had to take out my own trash twice. Rooms were very warm as the a/c wasn’t running and the window opens about a inch so the room was just stale air. Surprisingly quiet even with a ton of families there so that was a positive. Another thing that was just more of a disappointment was the hours of the onsite restaurant for dinner, 3 hours is a very short window to offer dinner.

The biggest thing was the breakfast buffet. Yougurts were just sitting on hotel pans with no ice, bottles of water and milk in hotel pans with no ice. The hotel pans of eggs, meats and potatoes were just loosely covered with foil. It was just un professional looking.

Neither the hotel’s website nor Expedia (where I made my reservation) disclosed that the property parking lot/garage is closed. Upon arrival, I found that both the hotel parking lot and garage were closed. Guests were required to park across the street and carry all luggage, coolers, and personal belongings across a blocked-off area just to reach the entrance. This was a major inconvenience that should have been clearly communicated prior to booking, especially when traveling for a sport competition.

The issues continued once I entered the room. The room temperature was over 80 degrees, and there was no way to turn on the air conditioning or even a auto-fan. The only option was to crack the window and endure the constant roar of I-235 traffic all night, or attempt to sleep in the unbearable heat. Either way, no rest was possible both nights.

In the concierge van, several guests were discussing the same issue with overheated rooms, making it clear that requesting a room change would only result in another room with the same problem.

If you’re heading to the Iowa Events Center, I’d recommend booking a room at another hotel in the area.

There is no drive up to check in currently with the area blocked off, so plan to do some walking across the road with luggage.

Check in was friendly. Busy at 3 pm, which was to be expected. It was quick and easy. Were not given check out time or breakfast information.

Property is very nice. Not ultra modern, but quality and tasteful. Room was very clean! Comfy ned and pillows. Nicely appointed! It is noisy as far as road noise, but its a busy downtown area for sure. The hallway was veey quiet. No noise at all from sarrounding rooms.

Parking was sufficient even with a busy concert going on. Price was higher due to this but far more reasonable than others, so we were satisfied with the value.

Parking lot was closed, would have been nice to know before we got there. The hotel was extremely hot and they keep all of the guest rooms at the same temp. I have never stayed at a hotel like that. Phone in room and external phone number did not work. Did not have any where to get a drink unless you had cash which most people don't carry any more. If they would list all of these items when booking I would have known and stayed somewhere else. I would have had better luck staying at a super 8

We checked in Saturday at about 430 at that time. I check in we weren’t able to access the parking lot due to some sort of construction however we didn’t see any construction happening in the parking lot. They told us that we could park in the 10 car drop off lane section that they had for us, but we could only be there for 2 to 3 minutes. They didn’t tell us where else to park. They gave us no further information we did find out that across the parking lot across the street was a backup parking lot which only had one spot available. I have a handicap and require a handicap parking however that was not available to us and no assistance was provided by your hotel.

We check into our room we head up to our room, which was room 720 and the room is so hot and muggy and stifling you can barely breathe. The air is set on 73 and we can’t turn it down. We can’t turn it up. we can’t turn it down. There’s no air circulation in the room. There were no fans provided. We question the front desk and they said well that’s just how it is the whole hotel stays at 73° shrug their shoulders and turned around.

We then leave for the event that we came for we come back and there is no parking available in your extra parking lot across the street that that parking lot as well had no handicap parking so around 11 o’clock or midnight we’re circling the block trying to find a place to park. Finally we take a risk and we park in mercies employee only parking lot due to no other parking being availab

For how big the hotel is, complementary breakfast should be available, especially with being Mercy labeled.
However we had several issues with key cards (4) and was not impressed by any means. I could hear all of the moving traffic outside my window. The windows actually could open and being up off the 1st floor is dangerous.
