The place seemed pretty sketch. The staff was very helpful and nice but the rooms were dirty. I went to the adult store/bar/strip club/restaurant behind the hotel and they legit laughed at me for staying here. The shower was broken, couldn't get the TV to work, the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, but the bed was clean!

There was no comforter on my bed and but was on the other and was told could not have one. The pool was filthy, fitness center was not open, no complimentary breakfast either day, dirty room, mold in the bathroom, mirror held together by Duck tape, gross goo on the dresser, remote would not do tv volume or turn it on, directory book was filthy, there were stains on the sheets, no kleenex or soap in the bathroom, no Do Not Disturb signs available, front desk never answered the phone when called from the room, Direct TV service was awful as if they have too many connected to one and they did not even as for my ID when I checked in.

The pool was closed due to someone pooping in it on purpose. The room was dirty, there was a ring around the tub as well as hair on the wall of the shower. The sheets were dirty with stains. The breakfast was horrible and very bare minimum.

I have traveled all over the world and worked around the airline industry for many years, and I have never experienced a hotel or motel this disgusting.

The ceilings were filthy, the carpets were stained and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time, and the shower had visible mold growing in it — something that could easily be addressed with basic housekeeping. The bathroom had cheap, worn-out white towels, washcloths that looked more like old kitchen rags, and there was only half a roll of toilet paper provided.

The bed was in terrible condition. The frame was sticking out to the point it could have seriously injured someone, the mattress was caved in and pulling away from the wall, and the headboard had visible handprints and stains that were frankly disturbing. The bed was made with just a thin sheet and no comforter, and there were only three old, flat pillows.

The hallways were just as bad — dirty carpets that clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, and the entire place smelled strongly of mold and cigarettes.

On top of that, the TV barely worked and the staff were unfriendly. The outside of the property looked just as neglected as the inside.

What’s most frustrating is that this property actually has potential to be a nice place. But it’s obvious that due to poor management and lack of care from ownership, it has been completely run down.

Room and Mattresses were fine. No towels, went to desk to get them. No pool, said in description that there was one. Continental breakfast was poorly stocked and was suppose to run from 6-9. At 8:45 door was closed and locked. Will not stay here again. I also needed this reservation because grandson was airlifted to Blank Children Hospital and he passed away on Friday morning and we did not stay Friday night. I was charged for both nights. I didn't have any protection so I quess I will eat the extra cost for the room I did not use. It hasn't been a very good week.

This place was nothing like advertised. The amount I paid for my room with a hot tub was WAY more than it was worth. The place was run down and gross. The bathroom door was busted and the bottom was screwed back on and wouldn’t shut all the way. The outside of the bathroom was missing a big mirror or something that was hanging. The hot tub was questionable and we didn’t feel comfortable using it. The windows were absolutely filthy around the whole building. There were stains all over the couch/pull out bed. Brown stains all over the bathroom door and wall. Not a single decoration. A small tv clear across the room from the bed and not angled to where you can watch from bed. It was hot and the air wouldn’t keep up. The furniture was old, pant peeling, and gross. No big breakfast area like pictured, no food, just coffee and the coffee they had was sitting out and sugar was just in a cup sitting there. Not worth it. This place is not somewhere I would ever go back to.

You could hear rats at night!!! They never provided any clean up service while staying. When you asked for towels they would only give one at a time. They told people to use the public restrooms cause they didn’t have toilet paper!!! The air conditioner wasn’t the best. Maintenance never came to fix it. The only good thing this place has goo for it is their location!!!

They couldn’t have breakfast while we were there because their heater to warm up frozen sausages. Well everything else was fine and they chose to save money and not provide breakfast. I asked for a discount on my stay since I had to buy breakfast every morning!!! So people shouldn’t go by what they say they offer. Also the TV had to be used manually. The whole place needs a major overhaul!!!

I booked a “family suite”. There were 2 adults & 3 kids. We were given 4 pillows, 2 towels, and no blankets, just 2 top sheets on each bed. When we asked for more pillows, we were told “there is no more”. The beds were hard. The building had a strange musty smell. Upon check-in there was a sign on the counter that said “Out of office”. Definitely was not worth the money I paid.

Hotel was not what it was described like in the pictures. We checked in and the lady was absolutely amazing. The first room we were given was in the second building out back which smelled of marijuana and then when we entered put room the window was busted out with strips of duck tape attempting to fix it though we could literally reach to the outside, completely unsafe and bugs could enter while the air went out.
We were given a different room in the main building that was cleaner and nicer. Hotel atmosphere outside was not great and as a woman with a child did not feel safe after dark.

Avoid like the plague until new management

Disrepair everywhere, no towels, missing bottom sheets, breakfast was nearly non existent. Our AC worked, but many did not we learned. Outdoor pool not in service and looked toxic. Staff was the shining light. They handled their ill equipped situation with grace and calmness. The check in clerk is a gem they’ll not keep long is my guess.

If you reserve a room just know that’s not the one you will be given at your stay there.The hotel only provided a single hand towel—just ONE, not even a showering towel.The TV also doesn’t offer streaming options like Netflix. The lobby was dirty, the restrooms had caved in ceilings and guests were being handed their own sheets to make their own beds at check in. I was lucky enough to have chosen the pay at property option and the woman at the desk didn’t even argue when I asked to just cancel because I think even she knew it was a terrible place to stay. Definitely would not recommend. Got there to check in at 3 and they said we couldn’t check in until at least 4pm. Then when we finally got to the room it smelled of cigarettes, sheets were inside out and had stains. There were no towels or anything and when we asked for some, they said they wouldn’t have any until tomorrows truck order! Carpets had odd stains, black mold in the bathroom. Breakfast wasn’t actually offered because “someone took the key to the room.” Then they still had the audacity to charge full price (no other option to stay elsewhere because everywhere else was sold out too)

Pleasant attendant at check in! Room was ok, TV remote would not turn on the tv, we turned it on manually by pressing the button on the tv, only one channel worked the rest were static. Went to the pool instead. The pool was a basic 3ft at one end 5ft at the other not very big, but very clean and refreshing after a long hot day at the Iowa State Fair. Beds were nice and comfy, air condition worked great! Next morning at 7am, went to get coffee in the lobby, there was a housekeeper having a not so happy discussion with the morning front desk attendant. I went to the coffee dispenser but it was completely out I asked the attendant if there was coffee anywhere else, she said no, but we can make some. I went into the space where the free continental breakfast sign was posted to get food for my child. I looked at the cereal, but then noticed there was no milk so decided to make waffles instead. After getting waffles cooking in the iron I realized there was neither butter or syrup for the waffles only grape jelly or cream cheese available. I also noticed at that time there were several other plates setting out on the counter with cooked waffles and toasted bread, now I know that was left by the family that was walking out with a crying child as I was walking in. I went back to the front desk but no one was there. I could hear people arguing down the hall. I threw my waffles in the trash, went back to my room, packed up and we left. We noticed to two police cars as we pulled out.

Our check in process took forever, the room was damp and not real clean, the lamp was broken, and there wasn't an outlet to plug in a charger. The continental breakfast was a joke. Property not at all like shown on line. NO pool - looked like it has not been in use for several years. Staff very unfriendly. No room servicing - only one small garbage can that we had to take to the outside dumpster daily. Breakfast was stale cold cereal. I was not able to stay at this hotel. We arrived for check-in only to be told all reservations were canceled. She wouldn't even take my name to check. It was 1am and I had my children with me. There was a lady at the counter spreading bills all over, undoubtedly to get a room. But the neighborhood did not look safe. Was not well lit and smells awful. She turned us away and told me if I had prepaid it was non-refundable. What an absolute joke.

This is the worst, unclean and terrible hotel my family and I have ever been too. My kids are literally traumatized by this experience. Whenever we drive passed a Baymont my 9 year old will tell me he never ever want to go to any other Baymont in general. This place is very dirty, terrible customer service, filthy and stink, spider web every where, faucet broken do there was no way to take a shower, dirty beddings etc.

One person in my line called the police -not sure having to wait warranted that-the police came but left quickly

The staff said they were out-the nice cleaning person found an empty room and I received 1 bath and 1 wash cloth from there
The cleaned room had mold in the bathroom corners and tub
Yellow stains around toilet base caulking
My deadbolt did not engage-the swing lock was missing and the chain lock was rigged in place
The fitness room door did not open
I chose this hotel partly so I could do laundry -the units did not work
Breakfast was food
Coffee was served in plastic dixie cups
I received 1 fresh bath towel on day 3 of my stay

The staff was overwhelmed and overworked
They were as nice as possible but they had to say I am sorry a lot to many people besides me

From the very beginning it was a bad experience. The check in girl made a joke she was trying to make money and had us on TikTok live. I was not happy with this. The reservation was already made and paid for but she was slow and could not find it. The room was dirty, bathroom horrible. The door would not lock as it was put on wrong. The room smelled like mold and smoke. The breakfast was non existent. I was not happy with the whole experience. We came to town for a football game and got a better hotel with Wyndham but it was as if we were staying at a super 8. I will not be back to this location and hope no one else is either.

This hotel is connected to what appears to be an abandoned restaurant on top of a super 8 connection as well. They had 1 or 2 staff members for both hotels. The parking lot is filthy, with a scissor lift sign pointing to the strip club behind the parking lot. Went to check in and they had no rooms available and their internet was down. The lady at the front was very nice about it and I could tell she was very stressed. Windows were cracked, holes in ceiling, sheets had makeup stains and other stains. Anyways, I couldn’t check in and Expedia couldn’t process the return until the hotel notified them. Two days after and 4 phone calls to Expedia, baymont wouldn’t respond to emails and not answer the phone. Expedia finally agreed to refund.

The listing is very deceiving...property is dirty broken window on building entrance boarded over and painted black.....no wifi....tried calling desk for an hour nobody ever answered. Pool was supposed to be open and desk said one hour they were \"filling\" pool... waited an hour so my son could swim....after an hour was told another 2 hours....we decided to just leave. When I arrived and got to my room, it had clearly not been cleaned. The woman working did everything she could to make it right. Breakfast was less than mediocre, and there were bugs crawling on the counter. The selection was very limited. The next day, the “ manager“ worked and her whole attitude and demeanor was absolutely rude and unprofessional. There was no Wi-Fi our entire stay (4nights) then the second day the cable went out so no TV and breakfast was put away early. Overall, I would never stay here again between the cleanliness and disorganization of my check-in down to how rude the manager was when concerns were brought to her attention.

Unfortunately nothing to like. Toilet was plugged, phone system didnt work had to go to front desk to get another room. 2nd room was not made up, full of dirty linens. Third room was acceptable, but dirty and smelled pf smoke. TV does not work.

Hotel was not as great as advertised. No elevators and Wi-fi was down for entire stay. Incredibly short staffed but those who worked were very pleasant. Just not what we were looking for with bringing our children. Adult entertainment nearby that is nowhere in pictures and attracts an interesting crowd. Trash was not changed, rooms were not attended to. Had to contact staff via their own cell phones to get help.

The air conditioning fan was noisy, they ran out of food, the coffee was only available in thin plastic cups, the sausage was extremely greasy without any knives provided. The bath towel was about 30 inches and never replaced during the 4 days I stayed there.

Checked in, went to room, no towels, no extra toilet paper, no kleenex. Went to the front desk and got towels and tp. Evidently they had absolutely no kleenex. On day 3 had to ask the front desk for clean towels. No daily service in the rooms. Tried to call front desk to ask about wifi, had to go back to the front desk to ask and they had a sign to call the front desk person. She explained no wifi from the storms that weekend. (this was Sunday) Had no wifi for the stay and we left on Wed. Pool was fine, but no towels kept at the pool so my granddaughter was using her shower towel as her pool towel also. Room was comfortable. Exercise room was locked and had a notice on the door from March, 2020.

Book on hotels.Com rhe site said there were rooms available checked inn went into the room and it was filthy from the people or person that stayed in there before us.. room hadn't been cleaned sheets were off he bed epty cups every where and trash bagged in the room.. so i went back to the front desk and there was 5 people in line for the same thing.. all were giving dirty rooms .. front desk told everyone there were no other cleane rooms available so we would lose our money for a cancelation with no refund so i had to go sleep in a dirty room or loose my money.. as i cant afford to throw away money.. i feel like i was basically robbed/ conned ... how can hotel do business this way? All they had tto do was either clean the room or put that they didn't have any rooms available and i could have found another place

It was AWFUL! I travel a lot and this place was horrid! Smoke detector missing, no towels, dirty room, no phone, no hairdryer, and had to go get TP, hand soap and towels from the front desk right after check in. I felt unsafe going outside to go to the main building after nightfall. Felt like I rented a prison block instead of a hotel room.
