The absolute worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. Blood stains on pillow cases, walls falling apart, hair on “clean towels” and lack of a pool being available when it states there was one.

The stay was great, clean room, nice amenities. $200 will be held on hold from your bank or credit card account as a deposit upon check in. It will NOT be reversed upon checkout as was told by front desk. “Oh yeah, it’ll go right back there tomorrow when you check out!”. Not just a card on file for incidentals. I think this should be more clear. It wasn’t an issue for me, but people should be aware of how this ACTUALLY works. Honesty goes a long ways. While the room and everything else was great, there was a great degree of mistrust caused.

Room wasn’t clean. There was blood on the sheets when we pulled the comforter back. They came up and remade the bed. Asked for clean towels and toilet paper never got them house keeping never did anything the 4 days we stayed. Ended up goin to Walmart and buying toilet paper and towels. Hotel stinks to holy hell of weed and the person working the desk at night is high as kite all night . 2 mornings in a row by 6:30 in the morning they’re out of hot breakfast. Cereal and toast only. Was told they was gonna adjust our bill. Went to check out and the Manager seemed clueless about it all said she would check me out and email a copy of our bill after she got off the phone with her general manager. Still haven’t gotten that email and now when I call them no one answers the phone. I wouldn’t let my dogs stay there let alone my family ever again.

Manager was directly in front of the building smoking a cigarette when we walked up to enter/check in, so we had to walk through the smoke as our first impression. Our room smelled very strongly of bleach when we walked in. The fitted sheet on the bed had a large wet spot near the foot of the bed, which we discovered when we pulled off the top sheets and comforter. It smelled like some sort of cleaning solution, so maybe a spot cleaning that did have time to dry before the bed was made? Breakfast was underwhelming. Scrambled eggs from a boxed mix, very salty sausage patties, and no butter for the toast/bagels/pancakes. Biscuits and gravy without the biscuits. Unfortunately, the TV in the breakfast room was blaring CNN news, which was really an unpleasant way to start the day. Staff were friendly, and the room-darkening window shades were amazing!! Room was quiet and bed was comfortable.

They didn’t have towels or washcloths when we went to get fresh ones on the second day, room ran out of toilet paper and after waiting at the desk for 5 minutes with nobody responding I gave up and used the tissues. Requested a late check out and at 11am housekeeping was knocking on the door and didn’t speak any English to tell them, we had to use a translator app. Also was charged double for my stay and I am working on fixing it. Not sure if it was Expedia mistake or the hotel.

We stayed for two nights in the jacuzzi king bed suite. The jacuzzi didn’t work, we notified the morning staff that next morning and were told we’d be properly compensated or that it’d be fixed. No one did either, the whole reason for booking the jacuzzi suite that costs substantially more was for the jacuzzi to work. Unfortunately we left this morning at 10 am and the manager of the hotel still hasn’t attempted to make this right. Your replies everything in this life, unfortunately in this situation is integrity for the hotel and it’s management. I don’t recommend staying here at this time at all.

i was put in a handicap room because of some bird show here in des moines . the lights on the right side of the room didn\"t work and the only heater was on the left side of the room so it didnt heat very well. there was no hot water in the bathroom sink and the shower leaks water all over the floor. staff are friendly tho and at least I was offered breakfast early due to having to go to work but I think that was due to the many people that were there.I stayed here alot this month due to the cold weather and believe I should have gotten a small discount

Staff during the evening shift asked us for a $200 “just in case” charge when we had checked in, that much seemed absurd to me, I knew hotels did that but every time it has never been nearly as much. When my sister in law checked in, she didn’t get charged.
Also it took several phone calls in order to get my second reservation cancelled, the next morning I called and the lady that answered was a sweetheart and fixed the problem right away. All in under 5 minutes, when the night before it took me 2 hours and nothing had been fixed. Whoever that lady in the AM shift was, you were great!

We went for a family trip to Adventureland, I would stay there again if going back to Adventureland it was super convenient, the breakfast was good. The room was small not much room to walk past the tv stand and it was hot in the room although the ac was turned to 61. Kids loved the pool. Overall not horrible not the best but for the convenience of being able to walk right next door and not pay extra for parking at Adventureland it was worth it.

We were the last people to check in at midnight as we had been at Eric Church concert. Our air conditioner wasn't working. It was 105 heat index out that day. We called front desk. She came up to look at it. Said she would need maintenance to Look at it. At this time it’s 1am. There were no other rooms to move too. She won’t comp our room. At this point we are tired and want to sleep. At 1:30 am “they” are knocking on our door. We didn’t open it. They proceeded to call our room several times, and again we are exhausted and don’t pick up the phone. This room was $209.00……

We took the trip to go to Adventureland. We were literally RIGHT across the street from the parking lot exit. We could see all the rides and everything from our room window. So super convenient.
Our room itself was super nice. We had 2 queen beds and then a side area with a couch, chair, wardrobe, desk, fridge, microwave, tv and coffee table. It was super nice. Bathroom had amazing lighting with extra mirror light. Little reading lights in the headboard and there were under the bed lights that were motion activated if having to get up in the dark. The entire room was very nice and clean. Breakfast had a lot of good options and tasted great both days. Pool was nice too, smaller and no hot tub but we enjoyed it. There’s a private outdoor patio next to the pool too which was super nice. Amazing affordable hotel that we will be staying at again.
