Property was clean and in a central location. About 15 minute walk from the ferry port which maybe 1/2 the walk was uphill. Most of the hotels seem uphill though from the ferry. Rooms were decent but noise from the street could get a little loud. Breakfast was good. Would stay again.

Room was good for our family and the beds are comfortable. However the area around the hotel is noisy, both traffic and people. The room we had was particularly noisy as it was only a floor above street level. I would not stay here again if I was given a lower floor room. Breakfast is pretty average, again something I’d skip on a return visit.

The staff were amazing and super helpful. Fotini at the front desk took great care of us and helped us tremendously by helping us arrange transfers to and from the hotel as well as all the touristy things we wanted to do. We arrived several hours before the check in time, but they got our room ready within an hour of our arrival. Highly recommend this hotel and the team operating it!

This was our first time in Crete, and the Olive Green Hotel was the perfect place to stay. It's very centrally located, near the ferry docks, the airport, and numerous historical sites and museums. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast was extensive, well made, and the wonderful. The front desk staff gets an extra praise for handling every question and request we had promptly and in avery friendly manner. An added bonus is having a small park across the street with outdoor tables from the nearby restaurants. We highly recommend it!

Olive Green was a comfortable, modern hotel on a pretty plaza, convenient to the sites in downtown Heraklion.
The room was on the small side and the spaces in the bathroom were a bit awkward. The breakfast was excellent. We were comfortable.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Olive Green hotel. We stayed in it twice, once on the way in to Crete and before he headed back. Olive Green is a well appointed hotel in a very convenient location. It is easily accessible to all the interesting areas in Heraklion - the Archeological museum is a stone's throw away, and the port is about a 10 min walk. Tons of restaurants walkable from the hotel. The breakfast in the hotel was very nice. Its a great spread of Cretan items along with the usual fare. We really enjoyed trying out the different items. We got the executive room in one stay, and it was really nice with a wraparound balcony. The room itself is well appointed - has all the amenities in a compact and neatly setup spaces.

However, the check-in process took longer than expected, and the breakfast was below average. Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend this hotel for its comfort and convenience.

Very smooth check in experience. Easy walk from the bus stops and ferry terminal. Room was clean. Washbasin was inside a wardrobe kind of setting which was bit inconvenient but overall room was spacious. We got room with balcony which helped to get some fresh air as and when needed. Very centrally located property and professionally managed.

Great location in central Heraklion. Room was large but the shower and sink in our room were located in the middle of the room (not a separate bathroom; the toilet is a WC in a separate room). It means zero privacy for the shower. The staff wasn't warm but everyone was nice enough. There are fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The port is also walking distance. There's a bus stop the other direction about 5 min away that goes to the airport or to Knossos. The location seriously can't be beat.

I had to find a place to stay in Crete and I had no idea and just pick somewhere On Expedia. I am so glad I found this hotel. I would definitely stay here anytime I was in the city. They have most comfortable beds and pillows! And every single person in the staff was amazing. Oh, I don’t wanna forget to tell you about the breakfast. It was amazing!

Loved the location. Central and easy walking distance from the centre and the excellent museum.
Friendly and helpful staff on reception and in the breakfast room. Comfortable beds and decent size shower. Plenty of hot water; no dressing gowns! Breakfast was good, excellent variety; but as is usual with Greek hotels, the hot food was more tepid than hot.
A couple of faults with the room which we reported and were assured would be dealt with, however we were only staying one night, so did not see results.
We have to go to Iraklio a few times a year and have stayed elsewhere before; but now we have found Olive Green. We will definitely make this our hotel of choice on our next visit.

We liked everything about the Olive Green Hotel. They were very responsive to our emails, and arranged transportation for us from the ferry to the hotel. We arrived late and had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant bar. The room was exceptional and they stored our luggage for us the next day. The hotel is close to everything and walkable. This property is a newer building, conveniently located within walking distance of the main pedestrian street. It is a bit farther from the ocean, but is definitely walkable. The rooms are clean and nice with helpful staff. It is very near an easy bus station to get to Knossos. Very good breakfast.

Very nice property in a great location very close to the heart. Clean, and modern. Our room (4 people) was quite large with a separate bedroom. Our particular room was quite loud at night until about midnight due to motorcycles blasting down the street (which was otherwise not common for us). Close to the museum (which is amazing), close to the heart of town (also great). We walked up from the port, we probably should have taken a taxi.

Our stay was unfortunately very average. Upon arrival from Sydney we had a lot of luggage, we were not asked if we needed any assistance with our baggage and when asking for a luggage trolley the answer was no and the male receptionist advised we could not leave our car out the front - this was while we were still removing luggage.
Breakfast choices were fine although poorly organised with no one asking for room numbers upon arrival.
We were glad to only stay for one evening although were happy with the location being close to the port.

Excellent place. Extremely well located in the center of the old city and near the Venetian harbor and port. We’ll equipped and great staff who were very responsive.
The only problem we had was that the shower was not well sealed so the bathroom floor became very wet. That was minor compared to all the great aspects.

This was the only \"big\" hotel we stayed at during our trip to a few Greek islands and it was a very pleasant surprise. The location was terrific - close to lots of restaurants and shops and most of all just a couple of blocks from the Heraklion Archaeological Museum! The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was surprisingly quiet for a hotel of this size and the buffet breakfast had a lot of options. We would highly recommend Olive Green to anyone traveling to Heraklion.

The staff was excellent. All the rooms face a street. We arrived on a Saturday night. We were transferred from a sister hotel, which was not open yet. There was noise all night long. There is a park with dining across from the front of the hotel. They moved us from the second to the sixth floor the next night. This was better. I would not stay here on a Saturday night or if you are concerned about noise. The shower was missing the plastic door sweep so water ran everywhere. This was not an issue with the new room.

This is an amazing property with a very central location! Just 15 minutes from the airport, a short walk to the port and all the attractions, dining and nightlife of old city Heraklion. Rooms are modern and clean, very thoughtfully appointed with sufficient power outlets in the right places, well soundproofed and separate shower and sink area. WiFi was consistently strong throughout my stay. The staff were so incredibly helpful as well - any information or arrangements to be made were done immediately. Will stay here again!

The hotel is conveniently located just a few minute walk from the outdoor shopping market, eateries, and the harbor. Short bus ride to and from the airport and very easy to get to! My room at the hotel was very spacious, modern convenance with Samsung Tablet controls, with plasma tv, safe, dresser, desk, couch, and balcony. The bathroom also had a rainfall shower! Came with free breakfast and the hotel had its own outdoor/indoor restaurant that I ate at on my last night in Crete that was very good, huge portions, and very Cheap! The Staff were super friendly and helpful especially printing out my travel documents that I needed to get home. Overall, the hotel was conveniently close to everything, very clean & modernized, and inexpensive yet not compromising on cleanliness or comfort. Hotel is in walking distance both old town of Heraklion (right on the border) and the peer (maybe 12m walk), so I was able to walk over with my luggage to/from the ferry. Very close to the archeological museum. Offers a very good bar/restaurant.

The hotel is fairly new, very clean and modern, but rooms have some strange design choices (toilet in its own room, have to walk over to the sink which is in a closet of its own to wash hands, shower is on the other end of the room and has no towel rack next to it).

The staff were extremely friendly and hospitable, helped me locate some shops and businesses I needed and answered my questions about the city and the hotel. I was upgraded free of charge to a larger room that was very spacious and well decorated and lit.

Overall a great 4-star hotel.
