This is a fantastic oasis for travellers to rest, recuperate and be looked after. The welcome i received was warm, friendly and kind. Was given all the info i needed for my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice touch to have fresh milk available for guests and any bits and bobs they need / have forgotten. I ate dinner and breakfast. There is a good variety of dishes to choose from and the food is wonderfully tasty. I thoruoghly enjoyed my stay. Thank you to all the staff who work hard to make this place so good.

Only thing that tainted our stay was the dog was not allowed to eat in restaurant and we were directed to the bar or outside . Neither was an option as the bar was packed due to sport and outside was cold . So no evening meal . Some leniency on our dog in restaurant would have been appropriate given the situation .

The staff at Portreath Arms were welcoming and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. My only complaint is that the bacon was overcooked, but otherwise the breakfast was lovely.

Warmth welcome. Comfortable beds, warm shower, clean room, towels provided, refreshments in room such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. Breakfast included, cerals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, fruit juice, tea/coffee and choices of cooked breakfast.

I had forgotten that we had booked a shared bathroom night at this lovely hotel. I was however pleasantly surprised at how well this hotel looked after us and it didn’t feel like we missed out because we had to share

Location is great, people very friendly and food in restaurant was fantastic, which was nice not to have to go out for dinner. Room was very clean, with a comfortable bed meaning we slept well. There was live music on in the bar and we were unduly worried about potential noise, we didn't hear it at all.

We stayed for two nights. There was noise from the pub and smokers on the car park until the early hours. There was also boy racers going up and down the road almost until first light.
On Saterday night there is live music - great if that is what you have gone to the pub for. Once more early hours thia pub does not close early!

Nothing wrong with the place other than I was there on a Sunday passing through and they are closed for meals as Si the whole of Polzeath after 4.30pm

The room was exceptionally clean and a lovely haven to relax and recuperate after a mammoth hike the day before and carrying my backpack around for a few days. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and I was really happy to see that their vegan options were options, rather than one choice! I was also pleased to see their commitment to sustainability as they refill toiletries, recycle and pass on food waste to a local farm - a rarity for hotels.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was lovely to come down to breakfast and the staff member had remembered that I’m vegan, and offered me non-dairy milk - it felt like a real personal touch.

Was perfect for staying over for a night after a long days walk and room was modern, tidy and had everything you’d expect. Shared bathrooms also in good condition. Pub below were happy to fit me in and food was great at dinner and breakfast. My only criticism would be that the walls of the room I was in were very thin and I could hear everything the people next door were talking about and watching so not sure i could be there for several days; It was tolerable for me who was so tired I was out like a light.

Lovely place! Friendly atmosphere, excellent food. I stayed at a 5 star hotel a couple of nights before with Michelin starred restaurant in Port Gaverne, these guys are so much more deserving of those accolades. Highly recommend!

The Portreath Arms are in an excellent position to walk to the beach and relax. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was lovely; clean, bright and comfy. The breakfast was great and we ate in the restaurant one of the evenings and the food was very good with a good atmosphere.
