We had a lovely stay at Mustard Tree. Anna and Mark are great hosts - we were given a very warm welcome at check-in and they also dedicated time to chat with guests and offered invaluable travel tips around Cornwall. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed.

The property was well kept. Room was very clean, comfy, cozy and quiet - with all amenities needed. The included breakfast was very satisfying and cooked to perfection. Even though hot chocolate was not on the menu, was provided at request and most delicious. Being greeted at the train station was an incredible help after a long journey. Mark and Anna were brilliant hosts and have such a good knowledge of the area. The place is also very good if you are travelling around easy transport links. Parking is good. The rooms are very nice and clean with tea making facilities and mini fridge with water. I would recommend it to anyone.

This is an excellent property at a very good location. The host is very friendly and super efficient. The accommodation is very clean, modern and all the necessary supplies are provided. The breakfast option is very good and there is a very good vegetarian restaurant (The Bean Inn) within walking distance but it is very small, so pre booking is recommended. Mark and Anna have compiled a very good guide for all the information you would need for your stay and exploration. I highly recommend The Mustard.

The Mustard Tree is a fantastic B&B, in fact we would go as far as to say it is the best we have ever stayed in. Both Mark and Anna are excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The room had a nice view and was very comfortable. The property itself is clean, light and airy, and the breakfast room was very well stocked with all the usual options catered for.
The location is excellent and a short walk down the lane, (quite a hill) takes you to the sea front, and half way down there is the railway station which takes three minutes to get to St Ives, and all the facilities that it has to offer. At the time of our stay the return fare was £2.20!! Oh, and the views from the train are amazing.
Locally, there are a few eateries, all of which are within a short stroll and certainly worth a visit.
All in all, this a first class establishment, and we would highly recommend The Mustard Tree to anyone looking to stay in or around the St Ives area in a friendly relaxed environment, we will certainly be visiting again next year.

This place is wonderful. I only stayed 2 nights but 2 weeks would have been so good. Apart from a very minor issue that the owner rectified quickly, it is great place to stay. Breakfast options were varied and the cooked breakfast was up there with the best.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and 3 kids (13,11,9) to see the sights in Cornwall. Arrived late at night but was able to get into our room smoothly with a lockbox key and was greeted by Mark in the morning at breakfast. Owner was very responsive to messages and provided helpful advice of the area, made to order breakfast was delicious, room was clean and tidied while we were out and the location was easy to find and centrally located for our activities. Property has parking lot, which was fantastic as parking is a little challenging in this area. Our room had a view of the ocean and had good cross ventilation with window and skylight windows open. Small fridge and enough storage space for all our things and was very comfortable.

My stay at the Mustard Tree was excellent and well suited to my interests for my visit to Cornwall. The inn is cozy and in a quiet, Carbis Bay neighborhood. My interests were in taking long walks to admire the seacoast and landscape, to learn about the art and history of the region, and to have some lovely conversations with other travelers and local citizens.

I liked the location, very near to carbis bay station, just a 10 min walk, however walking up to the hilly roads to reach the hotel wasn't that convenient. we felt a bit tired. It's better if you have your own vehicle. Overall our stay was amazing, especially the breakfast. It was tasty and freshly cooked. I love the breakfast. I stayed with one of my friends and the room had two single bed, however the restroom was so small and the washbasin was in the room itself, which my friend did not like very much, it was slightly inconvenient, also the shower precision wasn't accurate, It releases suddenly very hot and suddenly too cold water, and always resets automatically once I paused it even for a second, So the bath was quite a time taken but not that bad overall. Apart from these minor issues, everything was good. The hosts are very welcoming and kind, they help their guests in every possible way. They suggested various means of transport to view the beautiful places in Cornwall.

I enjoyed my stay at the mustard tree. The sea view from my room was wonderful. The room facilities were good especially the small fridge in the room ideal for keeping your drinks cold on a hot day. Wifi connection was good and so was the phone signal from the room. Owner was easy to talk to and very helpful. The tariff for this guest house is quite high but this is no doubt due to the high demand for guest house/hotel accomodation during the summer in this wonderful part of the world and probably also due to general inflation. My only complaint would be the room decor which is a dull grey colour. Cant comment on breakfast as im not a breakfast person!. Overall an enjoyable stay

One night only as our skybus flight was cancelled. Good welcome and information, drinks provided, excellent room and shower room, great location close to coastal footpath into St Ives.

From your arrival when you are offered a well deserved cuppa to the whole experience, Mark and Anna literally just could not do any more. On arrival Mark gives you some helpful pointers and tips about current COVID regulations at local eateries, which is really handy. He's a font of knowledge when it comes to all things local. He also recommends that in all the communal areas masks are worn, which in the current climate is great.
The room itself is really well appointed from the complimentary tea & coffee, to the small fridge with purchaseable goodies in to the comfy bed.
Breakfasts are great and all their produce is local too, which is great.
Honestly I cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be going back if we are ever down in the area again.

We had a great time in Cornwall and the stay & welcome at the mustard tree was an extra bonus. A very friendly and welcoming place. Breakfast, accommodation and service were all first class. I would recommend the mustard tree to anybody who is looking to stay in the area. Mark & the team are so helpful for anything from information to things to be aware of. The area itself is great to either explore the local beach (first class) or the area with local trains and bus stops right on the door step. Couldn't fault it. Really lovely stay with Mark and Anna. Anna is a fantastic chef and breakfast was delicious. There were fresh strawberries too which was a lovely touch. Very convenient late checkin with keys arranged to be left in the lock box for collection by me on arrival. I stayed in the single room which was very clean and tidy, the bed was comfy and there was a sink in the room. Modern TV and a mini fridge with some basics in, too. Lots of hanging space if needed and a comfy chair. Great to see use of eco products too!
