On the surface a nice room. On looking closer the room needs an upgrade. Very rundown bathroom that didn't appear clean. No wonder I bring antibac wipes when I stay in hotels! Staff were very good and welcoming. Comfy bed.

My room was a bit shabby, particularly the bathroom - teeny, tiny and not comfortable to use; light flickered and went out so had to leave the door open! The dining room was adequate but had seen better days. However the staff were helpful and did their best. For the price I paid, I suppose I couldn't expect anything better.

Sense of 1930s 'proper job' quality English seaside hotel ,including a large meandering winding carpeted staircase to rooms on second floor which incorporated on the journey of walking up,or down access to a lift which the weary,elderly,infirm ,sight dimmed or,in my case slightly inebriated ( honest .officer I was only moving at 3 miles p.h
when I hit that unexpected laundry basket ?!)
As well as this the service was v.good ,even down to one kind waitress/breakfast supervisor who took the trouble to find a baby-wipe so that I could clean my ketchup stained trowsers on the morning of my departure.
The room was ideal ,well equipped including a telephone and as well as an en-suite shower in th room ,there was a large bath in a bathroom on the landing near my room,which I used early one morning ,quietly so as not to disturb any adjoining room residents.
All in All, a good value well managed, friendly and efficient staffed establisment at which I had enjoyed my stay...so thankyou to them 😀.

It was a nice hotel but over priced even for August. It was average in most respects. Decor and furniture was tired and worn. Top floor rooms are up a windy staircase with no handrail. Be aware if you are elderly. Lovely seaview though.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable, although the toilet/shower was very \"compact\". A person larger than myself may've struggled in here. It is in a good location on the promenade, close to the Jubilee outdoor pool and only 15-20 walk to town or the rail/bus station. There is a bus stop close by. It's a lovely walk along the promenade, offering good views of St. Michael's Mount. The breakfast was ok. Not the best I've ever had but a long way from being the worst. Would I stay here again? For sure.

Ive spent the passed near on 3 weeks staying here and i have had a great stay. Great staff ,very friendly and welcoming. The food is lovely and on point. The rooms are cleaned everyday along with clean towels and bedding and refills of tea, coffee every day.

Please avoid, very poor experience. Our shower did not work and particular staff were rude, rolling eyes at guests, seemed to have guests who were their friends and were rude to others. The noise was unbearable, there was music and a DJ playing that you could hear all the way down the promenade and in our room which was above the noise, it was the only thing you could hear. We were not informed that this would be the case by staff. We made the decision to check out a day early as we were unable to relax. Very upsetting experience and unless you are a big pub goer I would avoid at all costs.

The Inn is run by the loveliest bunch of people that you could hope to meet. They were so accommodating and friendly, tried to help make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible, also giving advice on the local area. Would love to return. Kids had a great time too and were thrilled with the room. Shower was hot with decent pressure, the beds were comfortable and in room amenities were perfect. Breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choice of hot food. More fruit choices would be the only other thing that we could have wished for. The location is great. Jubilee Pool (outdoor thermal swimming pool) is a short walk away. The coastline can be followed in either direction towards st Michael’s Mount or Mousehole. Penzance harbour is also close by for boat tours.

Staff are Lovely. Room was exceptionally spacious with a beautiful sea view. Lovely big shower room. When you get your key it is 24 hour access so no worry about having to be back by a particular time. Breakfast was perfect.

The location, staff, rooms, quality of food absolutely fantastic, the room I was in was a little hot but bearable especially considering it had the sun in it from morning until night, it could have done with a fan or something but like I said it was bearable, the only thing missing from the room was an iron but other than that it was perfect.

We had a lovely stay, the staff is extremely friendly, location is brilliant, right next to the sea, near the Jubilee Pool and very close to Newlyn. All the amenities were nearby. Breakfast was included, which is a lovely bonus. We were late once, but we’re still allowed to have breakfast. Food is absolutely lovely.

The hotel is located on the sea-front and within easy walking distance of the town centre and the bus station. Good-sized rooms, well prepared and enjoyable breakfast and dinner and the bar offers a wide selection of drinks. Full marks too for the staff, who are polite and helpful.

Property is right on the main road passing through Penzance, so if you have a room with a view of the sea, then you also get the traffic and noise, plus if you are on the the 1st floor you get people at the outside pub seating area being able to look right into your room. Other than that it is a convenient place to stay and have access to the old part of Penzance.

Hotel was in a nice location. On the sea front, however the room was warm no Air Conditioning or fan provided seagulls were nesting opposite so they were quite noisy so during the day could have the windows open but at night was loud. Building work was being done which we weren’t aware of drilling at 8am outside our room. Breakfast caters for older guests and varies day to day. First day only orange juice on offer but rest of the week apple juice was on offer. In terms of food breakfast items was things like prunes and grapefruit with natural yoghurt. Cooked breakfast consists of sausages left to go hard under the heat lamps, bacon going the same way, also toast isn’t cooked to order or able to cook yourself it is made and left under the heat lamp too. Bed war uncomfortable lumpy and mine had a sharp bit in it that really hurt me when getting into the bed. Double is just two singles pushed together. Room was dated with chunks of paint missing and mould growing in the corner of the room, half of the room lights didn’t work only the bathroom light and the light above the bed worked even then there was two above the bed and only one of them worked. Don’t think rooms are checked very often for if stuff is working. Also rooms have kettle but no way of filling it up as the sink is so tiny.

Great location! The restaurant/bar have a very fun energy and vibe. The place is a bit rundown and kitschy. While our room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom and shower needed and updated and the interior hallways definitely need new carpet and a coat of paint. The staff were exceptional and very friendly.

The Lugger Inn had a great location - waterfront, walkable to restaurants, town, and the bus and train stations. My room was large and just as pictured. Breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. The only inconvenience was the lack of a lift.

Whole experience appalling. My wife has just finished treatment for breast cancer and I wanted to take her away for a short break and I am now very disappointed.

A really clean spacious room around a 15-20 minute walk away from the train and bus station with a very comfortable bed, great breakfast and really friendly staff. A staff member even gave us a lift to the train station because it was raining and we couldn’t find a taxi.

Pro's and con's to The Lugger Inn. The staff were lovely, couldn't have been more helpful and approachable. Great location, right on the promenade! Great having its own bar a restaurant. Breakfast was amazing!
I was a bit disappointed in the food, to me although a long menu, wasn't overly varied. Seasonal veg was different coloured peppers and the steak and ale pie, well certainly there was more ale than pie. Also table service was only available inside which was a bit of a let down.

The food was exceptional could not fault it especially Friday night the Italian buffet the mussels were to die for. However, they do functions and our room was above it and Saturday night was absolutely horrendous music blasting until midnight and all they said was it is mentioned on the website which it was not !!! And people were complaining at breakfast next day.

Staff were all friendly, kind and hardworking. The bed was not very good, no support. Shower room very small, no hooks for towelsor clothes and nowherr to put your toothbrush. Also the shower door should be hung the other way for easy access to the shower, rather than squeezing round the sink.
