Staff and rooms are bar none the best in Madrid. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, and the Wellington club access rooms are worth the splurge (complimentary snacks and small plates through the day and evening, deck access if weather permits (or you smoke) and complementary drinks- think high end airport lounge. It goes above and beyond in every way, even though it has the best location in Madrid.

Love staying at The Wellington! Location is ideal for shopping and sightseeing- off the main thoroughfare by a block gives it warm feel. The moment you arrive, the staff welcome you and the accommodations are perfect. The Wellington Club is worth the extra expense…. Lived having afternoon cocktail on the patio at the club. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Wellington. The service is excellent, rooms are clean and nicely renovated. The food and attention at the hall was top notch. The staff strives to provide you with the best service. The concierge is very responsive and assisted me with all my dinner reservations. He also provided recommendations on the spot. Barrio Salamanca is quiet and hotel is walking distance from Serrano shopping area. Parque del retiro is also a short walk away. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
