We only had 2 nights at this hotel but i have to say it is now one of my favourites i have stayed in.

The staff were polite and very helpful, perfect location to shops, restaurants and tourist spots.

The tech theming was such a bonus for us as we appreciate the lighting.
Extremely comfy beds, wonderful shower and the fact you can watch netflix, youtube eyc on the tv is a massive bonus.

Only critic i have is when the room is too hot and you open the window you can hear the cars on the street which can be very loud but when windows are closed you cannot hear anything.

Would 100% recommend and will definitely be staying when we return to Rome.

Clean and very centrally located. Weird lamp solution that automatically turned on. In combination with glass doors maybe not the best combination if you don't want to wake up your partner if you go to bathroom during night. Could also work on sustainability. As in letting you keep towels.

It was a very convenient location that was within a short walking distance to the major attractions. The colourful lights in the room were cool and we appreciated the complimentary coffee and snacks. The staff was nice and helpful. Sometimes the hot water wasn’t working and was a more of a warm/slightly cold shower though.

Junior suite appeared great but remote didn’t work eg couldn’t get jacuzzi emptying and fob lock not working, didn’t spoil the trip but little niggles that made it “ not perfect”

The air conditioning turn of universally in the fall. Usually opening a window would solve the problem but my husband is highly allergic to mosquitoes. The 8 that were left at thus time of year found him. We had a 3 night reservation. Hotels.com went to bat for us on a refund and Hotel provided us with bigger room and a fan. We were very pleased with the solution. I always thought the best way to rate a Hotel or an company is how they handle complaints and concerns. Both got an A

This hotel is in a great location. My room was clean and quiet. The lights and tv are controlled by a mobile phone and PlayStation device, which was frustrating as the lights went out after about 15 or 20 minutes and there were no written instructions for the tv. I would definitely stay there again and write down what to do. Staff are very friendly.

The location of this hotel is perfect, a ten minute walk to the Colosseum and Pantheon etc, it is also on the main shopping street, some great shops nearby. There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby too. Tommaso was a superb host, extremely helpful and courteous. I would stay here again upon my next visit.

The hotel was convenientlly located within walking distance of many attractions. We were not pleased that there is NO parking anywhere! We had to drive to the airport to return our rental car and then get a taxi to return to the hotel. 3 hours due to the amount of traffic in Rome.
Lots of dining options nearby as well. The only down side is the lack of parking.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Berlin day before Trecento - my experience at Trecento was more enjoyable by far the staff act like real people that care versus the Grand Hyatt who has the name/prestige but the staff are absolute snobs. I guess it depends what you value. I will take good AC, nice bed, good Wifi, nice shower and importantly great location (for stretching both to Colosseum and Vatican) over the grand reception area of the $2x 5 star hotels every day.

I was a bit sceptical when entering the building. It house the hotel along with a few other businesses.
Once we made our way to the hotel floor, there was some repair work going on.
Our check in went well and they were able to accommodate us a couple of hours early.
Room was cool (important in Rome in July), clean and had funky lighting with a whole room remote control.
We weee given a couple of bottles of cold water and access to a lounge with free coffee and snacks.
The location was great and easily walkable to all the sights, shopping and restaurants.
I would definitely stay here again.

Great area, clean hotel.

Beautiful room and friendly staff. We were staying during a heat wave and I don’t think the AC system was sized for the heat wave so our room got a bit too warm for comfort. The room was great with a lot of amenities. Beautiful bathroom and we had a massage chair and full size jacuzzi.

The area is amazing. Walking distance to all the major attractions and tons of food and shopping options nearby.

This was our second visit to Rome. We walked to pretty much all the sights including the collesseum, palatine hill, Jewish ghetto, Spanish steps, pantheon and trevi. Shopping nearby was fabulous which I liked bette than our last trip. Coffeee shop nearby open 24/7 which was an added bonus.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the High Rating

The hotel is definitely not as good as its rating suggests. While the room itself looked nice, it was completely overshadowed by an unbearable smell coming from the old sewer system. It made the space almost uninhabitable.

I spent the entire day trying to get the issue resolved or to be moved to another room. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was unhelpful and dishonest—they kept stalling and making empty promises until 9 PM, after which there’s no one available to help. It became clear they were just trying to run out the clock.

I ended up spending 36 disgusting hours in that smelly room. Only the next day were we finally moved, and the only compensation offered was a bottle of sparkling wine—not nearly enough to make up for such an unpleasant and frustrating experience.

This was far below expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel based on how they handle serious issues and treat their guests.

Expensive for what you get, good location

We visited this hotel a month ago and rather than leave a knee jerk reaction I like time to reflect and be honest.
Undoubtedly a brilliant location, can easily walk to all major sites.
We arrived after the 9PM check in time and kept the reception informed, who waited for our arrival. To be honest when booking I didn’t realise it was more of a guest house rather than a hotel, otherwise would have re thought about it. We’d have liked 24hr reception and maybe a bar facility.
Staff was welcoming and room was clean. We were talked through how to use TV, Jacuzzi etc as this is a tec guest house. As with all tec things go wrong. Couldn’t get the TV to work during our 5 night stay and mis-told how to operate the jacuzzi. Four nights in managed to get the jacuzzi working.
Very expensive room for what you get. We purchased a room with a city view, see photos below of our city view.
Thankfully didn’t spend a huge amount of time in the room as Rome is magnificent.
We feel this room was far too expensive for what you get.

The hotel location is great for walking to the colosseum, piazza navona, trevi fountain, and many other spots you dont want to miss. However, the rooms were odd to me. There is a smart phone that controls everything in the room from AC to lighting. They sell this as \"state of the art\" but its really just difficult. The AC would never turn on either no matter what we tried. The TV is controlled only by an Xbox, which was also very strange.

Great location on via del corso - all the touristy sites are walkable and there is a plethora of shopping / dining in the area. The door lock is by keypad and the light switches are a bit quirky - as a modern touch, lights / climate are controlled by an android device - the TV is controlled by an Xbox - but overall clean / comfortable & great place to stay. Hotel was close to the coloseum, Patheon and Trevi fountain. All less than a 15 minute walk. Excellant area to be in for easy access to everything. Hotel had an elevator, office on the second floor, recently remodeled an unusual lighing system, a/c worked great and the rooms were spotless.

You can't beat the location of this hotel. Minutes' walk from many major attractions. Unfortunately, this does mean a lot of people and traffic. The hotel itself is very clean and very safe. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Naturally, the building is quite old, but they did a good job with the upgrades.

I stayed here last week for two nights with my girlfriend on the first leg of our Italy trip. The hotel itself was easy to find and extremely centrally located. The first day we wondered with no plans and found our way to many of the major landmarks just minutes walk from the front door. The rooms are nice, they are kind of small but were exactly what we wanted and needed. We did not want to spend much time in the room anyway! The front desk was extremely helpful. We messaged on WhatsApp throughout the day and he was very helpful with recommendations on dining, site seeing, transportation. etc. I would recommend staying here due to its location and affordability.

This cute boutique Hotel was an amazing find! Nestled in the middle of Rome, many attractions were within walking distance. comfortable bed, free coffee, upgraded bathroom with a bidet. We loved the location & the staff was amazing. Our only negatives were that the water pressure was very low we could never get the hot tub hot because it would never fully drain. It took an hour to barely get above the jets. Also, the tv being on glass is blurry. We felt very safe & everything is convenient!

This is a nice hotel that tries way too hard on the technology front. The location is excellent, minutes from dozens of restaurants and attractions and the staff is friendly and accommodating but they have gone off the deep end when it comes to technology. You can't turn the lights on or off without the remote, the TV is a complicated mess and the climate control just flat doesn't work, resetting itself from 22 C to 25.5 C at random. We sweated thru most nights and I constantly had to reset the temperature which most resulted in it staying hot.

The staff was beyond helpful and kind. If there was an extra star for the staff then I would give it to them. A huge complaint was the smell in the bathroom. We thought it was a dirty towel or a drain at the beginning but it ended up being black mold under the boards in the shower. My daughter and I woke up to swollen faces and red eyes. I took photos and had I known where the smell was coming from right away then I would have changed rooms/hotels. We are allergic to mold and especially black mold. Other than that, I would stay there again.

The hotel is in a great area and the in house staff are very helpful. The rooms were not maintained very well, such issues as cracked shower screens , faulty shower and marks on the wall was what we found. The cleaning of the rooms was not good, marks and stains all over the place along with the cleaning staff not swapping bedding regularly and not showing up at all on some days.

Spent 5 days and 4 nights at the Hotel Trecento. I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is great and so is the staff. The beds are really comfortable especially after a long day of sightseeing. We had figure out how to use the remotes regarding the lights, tv and AC, and the Tomas was very helpful and patient with us. I recommend booking tours of the Vatican and the Colosseum since it will save you time. Waiting on line for tickets takes a long time. The best food we had was at a place called antica trattoria da pietro al pantheon. Enjoy!
