A perfect hotel to stay at, right in the heart of Ancient Rome. The Trevi Fountain is 4 mins walk, Spanish Steps 9 mins walk, The Vatican is a 15 taxi ride, Colosseum a 25 min walk. Step outside the front door to a huge choice of restaurants and cafes. The rooftop bar is a perfect place to relax and socialise after dinner with patio heaters if it's a little chilly.

The rooms are clean and well maintained. But if you like coffee, make sure to check the supplies before the morning!

Lovely 4 night stay in Rome. The location was perfect - we walked absolutely everywhere. Huge thanks for the early check-in after our early morning flight from Edinburgh. Rooms were spotless and the beds were very comfy.
Great selection at ​breakfast that even my girls enjoyed. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The location couldn’t be better, the hotel was exactly what we needed to experience all of the main attractions. The entrance was lovely with the opportunity for a hot drink and great service ! Would recommend!

Location was fantastic, 5 min walk to Trevi fountain, 10 mins to Piazza Navona. Easy 30 mins to Vatican and Colosseum. Lot's of little restaurants on the street outside the hotel, but honestly not very good. One around the corner in the Piazza Pietra, Osteria dell\"Ingegno was excellent. Hotel itself has a nice roof top terrace with some intimate corners!! Rooms were clean and functional, staff friendly enough. Only complaint was at the roof top bar, took too long to get drinks.

However there was an issue with the room temperature. It was a very mild November and the room was way too hot. When mentioned to reception it was fixed for a couple of hours then the ac was off again. We had to open windows during the night and it was extremely noisy so we couldn't sleep for 2 nights. Only the last night a very helpful staff called Dayana offered us a change of room or some fans, wich solved the issue. There was another issue with the TV that would not turn off and as it was a Sunday there was nobody to fix it and we had to sleep with sheets over the turned on TV, which made it a very light room.
Hotel is beautiful, but we go there to sleep and this issues that can be very easily fixed stopped us from resting and enjoying the stay 100%

This review is for a 4-person suite, which might differ from other rooms.
The first room we checked into was horrible and too small for a queen bed and a double sofa bed. The sofa bed reached the wall so you couldn't move around the room freely, and there wasn't really much room for the luggage either. The bathroom lock didn’t work, and the flush broke and dispensed water continuously. They sent someone to fix it, who was able to temporarily fix it after some time. There was creaking everywhere, the bathroom door, the cabinet door, etc. Being on the first floor above a restaurant with tables outside, it was very noisy as well. This was a 2-star hotel experience and very disappointing considering the price.
We were considering cancelling our stay.
However the staff were very nice and friendly and they arranged for us to check into another room on a higher floor. This was a proper room for 4 people with a working flush, and somewhat less creaking doors.

The hotel had two very small elevators barely fitting 4 people each, but I think being in the historic part of town maybe that is somewhat to be expected.
Now to the good: The location was great. It was a few minutes of walking to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good (8/10) with a beautiful terrace with a good view.

Would I go back to again? Only if I'm guaranteed not to get a room like the abomination we got first time.

Fantastic location, helpful reception team helped us to book some wonderful restaurants and our airport transfer, along with helping with other queries during our stay. Located near a piazza and a busy shopping street, we were able to easily walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Foundation, Spanish Steps, Collosseum, Forum and even areas like Travestere and the Vatican weren't too far. The rooftop bar and breakfast is fantastic - such a great asset to the hotel.

The stay was lovely and cosy! The staff were very helpful and the location is amazing, 5 minutes away from Trevi fountain and lots of places to eat. The rooftop bar was great again thw staff was attentive and lovely. Overall, rooms were great, even on the busy nights you couldn't hear crowds outside. The only downside there is one lift and its just to ages to get it. Everything else was truly beautiful.

Hotel is in a great location. The room was clean and comfortable and the rooftop bar is quite lovely. It’s a good jumping off point to see multiple sites. The breakfast however was average at best and one elevator was taken out of service and limited to staff use only, which would make it more challenging for families with smaller children or elderly people to reach rooms on the top floor including breakfast.

Good location.. central to the main attractions which you can walk to..
only one lift which is slow but didn’t effect my stay.
upon entering the room you could smell the bathroom sewage smell. this continued throughout our 5 night stay even though room was cleaned everyday.
bathroom shower is very small and water runs out of it onto the bathroom floor creating mess.
also the sink leaked aswell running onto the bathroom floor.

when we left we were asked how our stay was which we responded ‘it was ok’
hotel staff didn’t ask any more questions so no feedback was provided by myself as i felt they weren’t really that bothered.
breakfast staff were very nice and welcoming. The lady who checked us into the hotel was very good and welcoming too.. sorry i cannot remember your name..
other staff were ok.

when ordering taxis for a return to the airport we were advised a fee of 55 euros which was fine and this was advertised in the taxi aswell.. however when we arrived at the airport the driver said 75 euros and cash only!! we challenged him and then ended up paying 60euros. i understand this is not a hotel problem but please be advised this taxi was ordered by your hotel and you should be aware of this.. The same thing happened when we used a taxi for the vatican early in the morning where he tried
to overcharge us..

i think we paid a lot of money for this hotel so look around before booking!

Mattress isn’t comfortable, can’t sleep on that hard mattress like a plywood. Bed makes so much noise even moving slight left to right. Room smells bad. Room isn’t soundproof. Bathroom shower has mold. Floors are like a maze, so confusing to reach to your room. After you reach to your floor by elevator then you have to climbed few more steps to reach to your room. Breakfast place isn’t big enough.
I will not recommend to hotel to anyone.
I wish I could get refund for this hotel.

This property is in a great location for site seeing. Located on a small square with several restaurants it was still very quiet once the windows were closed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and our room was very comfortable. But the best part was the amazing rooftop bar where breakfast was served every morning. 9hotel Cesari is a great hotel if you are looking to walk around the sites of Rome. The location is the best aspect of the hotel as it is between the trevi fountain and the pantheon. The staff went out of there way to help with any issues we had. A special thanks to Dayana at the front for her kindness and readiness to make our trip special. The rooms are clean and well appointed and it has a nice rooftop bar. I recommend reservations as it does fill up fast. The only minor complaint would be the elevators are slow but that is not to big of a problem. Our experience at this hotel was excellent.

The room was extremely basic and not worth the cost. There were only USB plugs bedside, so if you have a USB-c charger you couldn’t charge your phone. There were only 2 plugs in the room, not in convenient locations. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I could feel a spring popping out. The front desk person on the morning of 5/18 was not willing to help us change our taxi reservation after a flight delay. The only cool part about this hotel is the rooftop bar that isn’t even affiliated with hotel. I would not recommend staying here.

The hotel is perfectly located between the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. The staff is wonderful, the breakfast is excellent, and the rooftop bar offers a truly Roman atmosphere.

The main downside for us was that the hotel is not very baby-friendly in terms of facilities.

There are no high chairs at breakfast, which means you have to hold the baby in your arms the entire meal instead of sitting and eating comfortably.

The hotel is not fully accessible — while there are elevators, there are also steps and different levels between the elevator and the rooms, so they recommend leaving the stroller at the reception.
Going back to breakfast — if I can't bring the stroller upstairs, at least provide a high chair...

Aside from the accessibility issue, the hotel is truly perfect.

The location is the best here. Other than that it is a basic 3 star hotel. I have a young kid who still share bed with us and they made me book another room for her thaf I did not use at all! It is the first time I have been asked to do it after travelling so many places. It is super expensive in the end for me but i have no other choice! Check with the hotel before booking if you have small kid.

Perfect location and room for our family. Separate living room for our child worked out so well and helped all of us sleep better. Room looked just liked the photos, cozy, clean and charming. Location was amazing, easy to walk to everything. I will say that even with the windows and shutters closed it was pretty noisy due to motorcycles and cars outside on the tiny roads - trade off for being in the center of town. Highly recommend.

The hotel elevator is small and slow. You can only fit about 4 people comfortably. The hotel price is pricey. Our average rate was $289 a night. The room is small with two tiny night stand. The front desk is helpful.

We have stayed at this hotel for the last 16 years and seen it go form a private owned property to a chain boutique hotel. When it was privately owned the customer service was amazing that we remember all the staff, but rooms were deteriorated over the years. With the boutique chain the rooms are great, but the staff rarely interact with you. We stayed here because we like the location and we know the area very well. Overall it was a good experience.

The staff was amazing, the Roof Top Bar has a wonderful staff and the selection of drinks and food was very good. The room was a slight smaller than I thought but was clean and comfortable. The fountain as seen in the listing is a little walk from the hotel, but the sights all around you make the walk enjoyable. The selection of restaurants and shopping so close were great. The staff assisted with transportation several times for tours, they were just great. The interior has a quaint charm and is easy to navigate. I really enjoyed my time there.
