My stay at Maalot Hotel was nothing short of excellent. The hotel perfectly balances elegance, comfort, and a warm boutique atmosphere right in the heart of Rome. The rooms are beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully detailed, making it easy to relax after a long day exploring the city.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was the service. Edwin deserves special recognition for his exceptional professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. Breakfast is an order-based presentation. The room is quite formal and attractive, but I would prefer a buffet and a less formal environment. The hotel is 160 meters from the Trevi Fountain, and the area around the hotel is literally packed with people. It isn't pleasant. The hotel staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Dinner at the hotel is very expensive compared with other high-end restaurants. The suite we were in had blond wood stairs from the bedroom to the master bathroom. They are unmarked and very dangerous. This needs attention. Otherwise, the hotel is first class.

Easily the best hotel experience I’ve had lately. Exceptional service made me feel like a queen for one night. Perfect pillows, beautiful drapery, gorgeous marble bathrooms, lovely millwork in the closet. Sound proof and pitch black. Little things just worked perfectly here like the complex light switches that usually drive me insane in other places. And a very nice gym with high quality equipment (simple but quite good as far as boutique hotel gyms go). Admittedly the aesthetic of the main room didn’t attract me but the hotel is too good to mind something like that. If I ever choose to brave the overtourism of rome again I will be back.

A wonderful experience.

Staying at Hotel Maalot was a special experience. The staff could not do enough for us, from the lovely breakfast to the turndown service in the evening. The location is perfect and central to all the major sites. Having the Trevi Fountain nearby was wonderful but obviously that makes the area very busy.

If we go back to Rome we would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is pure luxury with ousting and super friendly stuff. We were well taken care of, we were helped when we needed to and everyone always had a big smile on their faces.
We only ate breakfast in the hotel but selection was good and service even better. Bed was very comfortable and I really loved the pillows and the quality of the bedding. You will get all five star hotel treatment if you stay there. We booked the suite so we had a space for our 17 year old son. He stayed in the living room area and had privacy. Suite had only one bathroom in the bedroom but the bathroom was big.
This hotel is quite expensive but the quality of stuff justifies the price. If you want to spoil yourself this is the way to go!
Location is perfect! Walkable to all famous sites.
During summer months Rome is extremely busy so consider visiting another time if possible.

An enchanting, stylish haven set within a busy and central part of the city. The property feels both established and new in the best of ways: everything is immaculate, the furnishings are in perfect condition, yet the staff operates as a well oiled machine.

We arrived from an early morning flight and Stefania graciously welcomed us and promptly sat us down for a relaxing breakfast -- just what we needed. Our room was perfectly attended to, we loved the complimentary in-room treats that were refreshed daily and the candy cart was a delicious and fun part of our stay.

We traveled as a family of three and the junior suite was perfect for us. Our family looks forward to returning!

This hotel was exceptional. If I return to Rome I will definitely be returning here. The decor of the hotel is 5 stars. The gym is amazing with high-end equipment. The customer service goes well above expectations. Ivan was amazing, as well as the entire staff.

The only negative is while the location is ideal during the day (literally steps from trevi fountain), it’s loud at night. If I was to return I would ask for a quiet room off the Main Street. This is outside of the hotels control and should not stop you from coming.

He coordinated our guided tours, gave us a great list of restaurants to visit and booked appointments for us. The other members of the staff were equally as helpful, from the expert bartender, to the gracious host in the hotel restaurant. Amazing Hotel for First Visit to Rome

Very impressed with this property. Staff was always helpful and friendly, both concierge and all wait staff. When we needed help with a taxi or advice for dinner or navigating the train station, concierge was super helpful. The room was spotless and we found the bed extremely comfortable and a little soft, which was to our liking. The location of this hotel is maybe 200 yards from the Trevi Fountain, which is equivalent to staying near Time Square or staying in the French Quarter, both of which we have done. This means a steady flow of people and vendors nearby, but this was not off-putting at all. Just inside the hotel entrance was calm, soft music, and inviting atmosphere. It was an easy walk to so many landmarks we wanted to visit and walk we did… so many steps! We ate breakfast at the hotel every day and it was delightful. We had afternoon cocktails on the patio a few times and enjoyed the street views and the delicious cocktails. Overall excellent experience and perfect for our first visit. When we come back next year I will look at other options similar to this style in a different neighborhood to find a different experience.

I just had an amazing stay at Hotel Maalot, and I can’t recommend it enough! The hotel is absolutely gorgeously decorated, with every corner exuding charm and sophistication. Its central location, right between Corso and the iconic Fontana di Trevi, made it so convenient for exploring all the best parts of Rome.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast at Don Pasquale, the hotel’s restaurant. It was truly spectacular! From fresh pastries to delicious Italian specialties, every bite was a delight. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the experience, making it a perfect way to start each day! Everything about my stay was impeccable, and I can’t wait to return. Maalot is a beautifully designed hotel, if you appreciated interior design and a very central location this is a great choice. It is 2 mins walk from Trevi fountain and 5 mins from the Pantheon.

The rooms were spacious, very smart, clean, well designed with beautiful marble bathroom and small walk in closet. Turn down service and nice welcome bottle of fizz with sweet treats

The breakfast is a la carte but complimentary and delicious. The service is excellent and there is good choice.

The staff are all very welcoming and friendly the best service I have experienced in hotel in a while.

The only downside is the outside of the hotel is not very glamorous, it’s opposite a macdonalds on a very busy side street. They could do more to make the front of the hotel look more classy and appealling taking away the plastic cover on the eating area and some nice potted trees. You can barely tell it’s a hotel.

Overall if you don’t mind hustle and bustle of location and lacking outdoor relaxing view this is a great choice.

Staff were very communicative and responsive and the hotel itself was beautiful. The air conditioning was fantastic which is tough to find when traveling in Europe. One kind man at reception noticed my 8 year old son playing chess and chatted to him about it, which was very sweet. Only off thing is that the day after we checked in, the hotel searched me and viewed my profile on LinkedIn?? I have never had this happen and it felt intrusive and a bit creepy to me. Why would they be curious about me enough to actually google me the morning after I checked in? Knowing they searched me put an odd cloud over my stay, which was a bummer since everything else was great.

I booked this hotel as a surprise for my husband, on the weekend of a 6 nations game in Roma.
From the moment we arrived til when we left the following day, it was an absolute delight. The staff was really friendly and helpful. All the goodies from the pastries from the Chef were also so tempting. The breakfast was out of this world, and definitely had an Italian touch. So refreshing, compared to your traditional “continental” breakfast. The room was lovely, but not only. The renovations were done exquisitely. I might be biased as I am a sucker for architecture and bold vibrant interiors. If you are into boutique niche hotels, you will love this place. We will definitely treat ourselves to another stay and for longer.
Almost forgot to mention: you must try the cocktails in the evening as well 🙃

Best Small Luxury Hotel in Rome

Everything about the hotel is excellent, especially the staff. We particularly love the spacious toilet & bath. The generous gesture of FREE daily replenishment of the drinks & snacks of the mini bar created a lasting impression on my wife & I. Maalot oozes with luxury. Its location is unbeatable. It deserves a 6-star rating.

Centrally located, steps away from many Roman attractions, however that made for a very busy entrance. Once inside, that melts away as it is quiet and intimate. The staff are extremely attentive, the hotel is beautiful and clean, and the restaurant is great. Would absolutely stay here again!

The Maalot is a perfect haven amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. The Junior Suite we had was very attractive and comfortable. It was always immaculate in cleanliness and the provision of free snacks and soft drinks was a real bonus. The continental breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice, including various egg dishes, pancakes, porridge, fruit. The staff were always friendly and attentive. It’s very close to the Trevi Fountain and walkable to the Colosseum but taxis are readily available. I would highly recommend.

Love this hotel. It is quite new and the staff provide impeccable service. The restaurant serves excellent contemporary cuisine. It is located right in he centre of the old town. I will definitely return the next time I am in Rome.
