The room has no window, behind the permanently drawn curtain shown in the booking site is a rubbish dump. The room is also very poorly lit.
At night we saw many cocroaches around. The whole room was filled with cigarette smell.
The shower roof drips, possibly from toilet sink or bath room upstairs.
The beds are old and very uncomfortable, and the linen were worn out and smell too.
I have stayed in not very pleasant places, but this is by far the worst of all. The lack of sanity is shocking. We made our complaint to the front desk and were totally ignored.
Honestly, the room should never be allowed to be hosted in your website, it is a disgrace that the hotel can continue to promote this room shamelessly in Expedia.

Excellent location for a stroll near the corniche with a ferry ride or a subway/metro ride. There aren't many grocery stores though near by, unfortunately. Hotel is clean, and staff is friendly. Will stay again.

Mixed experience:
- The whole of Al Ras appears to have a mild cockroach problem, likely because it's a working port.
- The laundry service
(a) discarded my laundry bag; and
(b) wrote my room number in indelible ink on the inside of my shirt collars. They were beautifully ironed, but...
- The area is the pre-1960 oyster-diving village, and it shows! Narrow windy laneways, low-rise buildings, souks and individual merchants all over the place. The nearby dhow wharfage is a working port, and the tenants in the ground floor of the hotel are merchants trading grains and spices.
- The room was spacious and comfortable.
- The staff were friendly and helpful.

1.Not friendly staff (seems like the staff work on the hotel is not \"hotel educated\", they are only common labor.
2. While we ask for taxi, they will call private transportation, worst then Dubai Taxi, and the price will be 4,5 times expensive to normal Dubai's taxi
3. No parking at the hotel, we need to pay private parking on the basement of the hotel, and its expensive.

This hotel is good if you need a simple overnight stay. It offers nothing. You have to request towels.
It has a bed, shower and toilet. The kitchen has no dishes nor a stove. If you need a place to sleep for the night, this is ok, its only 8 min from airport and cheap.

So disgusting and disappointing.

The place is untidy and the sheets are smelly (like a dog has been lying there) the bed had a lot of bed bugs and there were gross semen leftovers on the bedrest and closet. All of the things are creaking and all were broken doors on the cabinets which is also dirty and rusty. The environment around it also doesn’t feel safe. As a tourist, I would not recommend this place, and they don’t give refunds. I wish they will give my money back.

Accepted our booking however when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that no rooms are available and they turned us away despite already accepting our booking online.

Looks old and dirty from the outside, reception is bad with a foul smell. No WiFi available at the reception.

If you want drama in your trip this is the hotel you would book.

Arrived at the hotel and you were told there is no room although you have a good reservation. They prepared the room on the stop and had you wait for 1 hour. They took you to a crappy room where you would be bitten by tons of bed bugs all night long. You pretty much busy fighting the bed bugs all night and red bumps everywhere on your body. Crazy hotel.

The hotel is shabby and specially the receptionist got no clue how to handle the guests. I had a 7 day reservation pre paid and when i reached hotel, the receptionist informed that they do not have any intimation and just asked me to look for some other hotel or contact the booking site. I showed them all payment details and at last i had to wait for 5 hours to get one room. Absolutely bad hotel

VERY NICE !!! the hotel was actually an apartment , large and spacious rooms, with kitchen, counters , and kitchen table and utensils for cooking , nice TV, with 1,000 channels, the staff helps us with arranging the english channels and resequencing then for easy access , the movies and news .
The guy at the front desk was allways polite and helpful, when the main guy was not there, there was a secondary guy at front desk, so it was manned 24 hrs a day, he kept our key and valuables when we were out.
the room was tiled, and easy to keep clean.
I think it is labeled as a 3 star hotel, but with what I saw, it was more like a 4 star, I am sure a few years ago , when new it was like a 5 star.
We think it is AMAZING .. thanks Staff at Hafez, and thanks OYO for promoting it

peple at hafez hotel apartment are great and are always ready to help. Very freindly staff and very help ful indeed.
it is the hygiene that i faced some issues with. there are just a lot of cockroaches despite almost daily spray of insecticide there were lots of cockroaches. the hotel needs a thorogh pest control.

Hafez Hotel is the place to stay on a low budget

It is close to a metro station so easy access to go anywhere in Dubai. The manager, Mr Kutty is very friendly and helpful and also the other gentleman. The staff always responded to our requests so cheerfully. a good safe place for a family. I will definitely plan to stay there on my next visit. Our family of 6 reunion was wonderful for Christmas and new year.

I stayed here for 5 days. Although the receptionists were curt, the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. I regret that I did not take sufficient opportunity to explore the immediate vicinity, but it appeared to be a relatively quiet, peaceful area with some historic houses, museums and some famous local markets nearby.

Overall, the hotel and its location is alright, and the large rooms were comfortable and relaxing, especially with the kitchen counter and appliances where you can make your own meals and save a lot of money compared to eating out in Dubai.

unclean Room (studio) but near Metro

I had an early check in. but the hotel staff (temporary) cheated me and requested 50 Durham. within one hour, he wanted me use his friend's car to look around Dubai. if I ask any details of Metro, he said. \"I do not know it, Sorry\" .

the room has flies and other insets in it. (no bed bugs) floor was dirty. bathroom (vanity) was very dirty. (a clean towel was there)

I asked him and other staff to arrange a taxi to go to the airport. I was advised by the friendly staff it would be 25 dirham. but this particular man said at the last minute, it will be 68 dirham. I got annoyed and put the phone down.

then I took a road taxi and came to the airport for 23 dirham only.

DREADFUL DISGUSTING HOTEL

The entre hotel is disgusting there were cockroaches everywhere and all sort of bugs in the room. Unsafe electrical cables and plugs, the air smells like someone died there three days before. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. When I entered the room for the first time I immediately when to the web to book online at Doubltree single bedroom for me and my family (four persons) and we rather preferred to stay all clustered together than laying one single finger in the cockroach nest that the Hameez hotel is.

This hotel is disgusting. The rooms and bathrooms are filthy. There are cockroaches is the bath and the rooms smell like Dorthy ashtrays. The staff and manager weren't helpful at all and do nothing to rectify the problem. Please avoid at all costs!

Not good for a family to stay as it doesn't meet the standard for cleanliness.
The hotel is conveniently located next to the metro and it is center to all the attractions.

However it doesn't meet the standard of a three star hotel. It is good for singles for one night.

They could do better if they can keep it cleaner.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL AS IT IS 1 STAR ONLY

Even though hotel is close to most of the gold buying places, the beds are full of bed bugs and also the toilets are extremely bad. We could not even get our bags into the hotel without dragging them on the road for about 100 feet, it is not a joke when you have 5 full luggages. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. Starts given to this hotel is totally misleading. Walking towards the hotel like walking within an open market. Full of traffic.
