After deciding to book a stay in a boutique hotel instead of the standard hotel I cannot believe how lucky we were to decide on the Tree House.
The dedication of the staff, the cleanliness, the food, the attentiveness to service is all outstanding.

The entire staff was extremely helpful in any needs we wanted. The breakfast was awesome and was beautifully enraged for the buffet.
If you didn’t see what you wanted on the buffet a breakfast menu was always available.
The staff always had a warm smile to greet you.

When I was looking for a hotel in Cape Town, I noticed that the Tree House had received high ratings on hotels.com and most of the reviews noted the exceptional service. I booked the hotel for five nights and am so glad that I did.

The Tree House is in an ideal location, close to the V&A waterfront to walk, yet far enough away to avoid the noise and bustle of the area. We walked every day to the waterfront. Our room was comfortable; we spent a great deal of time on our balcony, looking through the trees surrounding the property to the ocean. It almost feels that you ARE in a tree house! We had our delicious, made-to-order breakfast each day outside by the pool. And each afternoon the chef surprised the guests with a cake-of-the-day.

But, the one thing that stands out from everything else is the service. We had exceptional service at every turn. Sheila welcomed us, showed us around the hotel and made many of our reservations. Elton organized a driver for a tour to Cape of Good Hope and Franschhoek. Sade provided an unforgettable (and most needed) massage after a hike up Table Mountain.

I highly recommended booking the Tree House, for all the reasons above. You will not be disappointed!

Every staff member was extremely attentive. The facility is very clean, the bed comfortable. Instructions for use of a/c/heat remote would be nice. Free breakfast was great with plenty of options. Never had time for their in-house spa but you should try it. I used hotel-arranged transport and Uber. Uber was always just minutes away and probably cheaper. This location is highly recommended.

Cute, clean, very friendly staff.

Check-in was great although a bit cumbersome because hotels.com had filled in their contact information. We were greeted with fresh drinks, given a tour and taken personally to our room. My only 'complaint' was that we had a room overlooking the road which was quite noisy on a Saturday night but the darkness of the room and other amenities made up for this.

Wow - what a stay! It is not one particular thing that makes the Tree House Boutique Hotel but an array of small touches and gestures that make this a must for your Cape Town. Elton, Sheila and the whole team are thoughtful and considerate with guests needs and show genuine curiosity around your visit. Breakfast is exceptional and the room comfortable and spacious (Superior Mountain View room). We will find it hard to beat this hotel when visiting other places. Thank you.

I can’t rate this hotel highly enough. The staff were so friendly and the attention to detail Friedrich and his team went to was superb! A typical example was how the chef baked a different cake each day for guests to eat in the afternoon when they got back from sightseeing - all at no extra cost! Awesome stay! Hotel was very cute, breakfast was good, the room was very clean and the shower was amazing! I loved how they’re using the buckets to catch unused water to use other things for it. I should have asked for more buckets because the water took a little longer to warm up. Front staff was amazing and very helpful! The ONLY downside was the street because all my Uber drivers complained how hard it was to get out of it since it was at the top of a small hill, and there was not a lot of room to reverse to get out.

Lovely on a hill

This is a beautiful modern yet rustic hotel with stunning views.
Staff is friendly and accommodating. Amazing breakfast and afternoon happy hour.
It’s a lovely safe part of town called Green Point, 15 min walk to the Waterfront.
I’d Uber back. The hill is quite steep and the ride is a couple of dollars.
Two things that could be improved is their Wi-Fi, it was impossible to transfer data for work and often it did not work at all.
The furnishings are nice but the mattress was very hard.

From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out everything was beyond our expectations. We were treated like family. The room was very spacious and up to date. Large tv, nice furnishing, bathroom spotless. There was always someone wanting to help, breakfast was amazing each morning, a nice bar, and a different homemade cake every evening. My wife got a massage at the spa and she described it as the best spa she ever had. We booked our excursions with the hotel also. They were private and we had so much fun with Ismail. He is Godsend, very knowledgeable, caring and entertaining. Mcgcini was a great bartender and helpful with anything we needed. He always had a smile and made us feel like family. We have met family for life! The staff at Treehouse really made us feel welcomed, safe and was the highlight to our trip. I wish I could remember everybody name but they all were so great!!!! I will definitely stay here when we return because we will return. This hotel/staff were gems and we really appreciated our time there. Don’t hesitate book here, you won’t regret it. 5 star hotel and it doesn’t lack in any area. Staff always went above and beyond. Someone even helped fix my wife’s broken suitcase and another helped her with her hair. We were so sad when it was time to go but we plan on keeping in touch!!

The hotel itself was great, with a nice balcony and good sized, nice quality rooms. Property was very quaint and well-decorated. Bed was comfy. The intermittent power outage was annoying (as they do not have a generator) but usually it was at times when we weren’t there or didn’t need wifi. Wifi was decent in the room, spotty on the balcony. No fridge in the room unfortunately. The hotel patio/common area was quite nice, with a little pool and some lounge chairs. Complementary continental breakfast was sufficient with hot food available upon request. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Had a lovely 4 night stay as this hotel. It is well situated within Cape Town and offers a very quiet and private stay.. The staff were all excellent and very helpful, the rooms were clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The afternoon tea offering was delicious and the afternoon bar was a great addition. Parking was alittle difficult at times but there is also free street parking. Would highly recommend this stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Tree house Boutique Hotel! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, it was very clean, and the breakfast was incredible! Transportation drivers were fantastic. Ishmael even waited for us 1 hour past meeting time when our hike down Table Mountain took much longer than expected. This hotel was in walking distance to many places to eat. There was a fabulous bar and grill at the bottom of the hill from the hotel (can't remember what it was called) but we ate here every day of our 4 day stay! We will definitely stay at Tree House Boutique Hotel again if we are ever in South Africa again!

Had a wonder stay here, staff were amazing, can’t do enough for you especially Elton, Kelvin, Patricia, Ntombi and gentlemen who worked nights, Ernest. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Beautiful room and a great view of the sea. Great tea, coffee and home made cake available in in the afternoon. If driving put in 32 high Level Road as you park from here, and walk down steps to hotel. V and A waterfront 10-15 walk. Good central location. Lovely breakfast choice.

What an AMAZING staff with wonderful services, politeness, and friendliness! Patricia, Gilbert, and every single one was always there tending to our every need! They provide a delicious breakfast, and have cakes and snacks out at all times along with a coffee and tea machine. The toiletries they provide smell wonderful, too! This cute hotel is tucked away in the Green Point neighborhood close to restaurants and walking distance to V&A waterfront and also downtown. This is a nice hotel in a pretty central area, but we did not love it. The rooms and facilities are good. We were near a busy road so there was a lot of traffic. The staff were very kind, but didn't seem to know much about what to do or what to recommend. They handed us a book to flip through so we could purchase tours through them, but they were not able to answer many general questions.

Overall our stay at Tree House was a fantastic end to our honeymoon- we got a free upgrade, the staff were so friendly & breakfast was scrumptious. Unfortunately our negative was the room was noisy & light came in too early to wake us up from room #9 as there was no bathroom wall. Strangely despite the fantastic block out blinds & sound proof sliding doors for the balcony, there was no bathroom wall so the shower window which had no soundproofing from the busy street above or any blinds to shelter the morning light meant our day was forced to start early.

I had a great stay at the Tree House! The staff is professional and friendly, the rooms are modern and clean, and the bed was super comfortable! The only slight issue I had was that I could hear people walking with heels above me - but you're probably going to get that in most boutique hotels.

Highly recommend staying at the Tree House. It's a short walk to the V&A Waterfront and a short drive to most other places. Also - highly recommend the Township tour set up by the hotel - great way to see a different part of Cape Town.

This is an incredible hidden gem. The staff are so lovely and attentive and think of the smallest things. The afternoon cake and sweets left out for you to help yourself to are wonderful.

The property is loved and it is obvious. Location is good. It is about a fifteen minute walk downhill to the V&A Waterfront. Very safe - I was a lone female traveller and was absolutely fine. I didn’t brave it back though mainly because the hill up to the hotel is very steep (and I’m lazy).

Would not hesitate to book again next time I’m in Cape Town.

I always try and give honest and helpful feedback.
I was upgraded to the herb suite from a front facing sea view.
Unfortunately I have to say the suite was very dark with not much natural light. On the positive side it was nice and big but I just thought that it didn’t compensate for the darkness.
Breakfast,great plenty of choice.
Now here comes the problem, yes it does have a swimming pool but more like a big plunge pool but very embracing.Also with the hotel having 9 rooms there needs to be more sun loungers but they had only 4 simply not enough.More thought needs to go on the outside space.
Overall a nice hotel that just needs tweeking

The hotel staff were great and the breakfasts exceptional. For our hot breakfasts we chose eggs benedict and scrambled eggs wrapped in salmon, both very tasty. The hotel location is very close the waterfront and central in Capetown. The hotel rooms are very new and clean, and we really enjoyed the artwork around the hotel! In the distance outside near the pool you can see Robben Island clearly in the ocean. A very pleasant stay for 2 days. The only slight difficulty is the parking but we were able to find a spot both nights on the street near the entrance so next time we'd ask to book a car spot inside the hotel garage in advance. Loved our stay in beautiful Capetown.

What a charming hotel tucked away at the end of the road. All of the staff were welcoming. We received an unexpected upgrade to the secret garden suite where the bed was extremely comfortable although being next to the dining area meant you could hear the staff preparing breakfast. A good selection on the breakfast menu which was very tasty and well-presented. I would certainly book again if my travels bring me back to Cape Town.

Tree House Hotel sets the standard!

The Tree House Hotels is a model of what all hotels should be like. Read the reviews because the service and kindness are second to none. From the moment I arrived after 36 hours of traveling, they upgraded my room, provided me with some delicious S. African Chardonnay and the chef even went above and beyond and prepared a special meal for me because he saw I was too exhausted to leave the property. I am forever grateful for this act of kindness. Everyone here is helpful, accommodating, kind, and the breakfast is exceptional (the hot meals are a must), the rooms are impeccably appointed, and it really does feel like you're tucked away in a little haven of paradise in the middle of Cape Town.

The Top Of the Tree

Sadly after experiencing 15 wonderful nights in South Africa we head to Victoria Falls and to another country.
Sad because we’ve had to leave the Tree House Boutique Hotel.
From our three visits there we experienced the best of S Africa from a smiling, helpful, delightful honest and true group of people. The entire staff from the pool cleaner to the room service to the front desk and the guiding management work as a team. United to provide a great service and a winning atmosphere for every guest who stays there. Even the taxi service run by Ismail represents the team with the same pride. Loved every minute we spent there. Thanks to you all. Too many names to mention but Elton Tamzin, Richard, Gilbert and Pindile were always involved in smiles and help.
If you want to enjoy Cape Town from a safe base, professional run with at the right times humour and passion this is the place to stay.
The rooms are modern bright clean and comfortable. Detail is delivered in their breakfasts, wine selection, towels in a basket for the beach, even hair & shower products. Their house keeping team once laundered our clothes within three hours but always the same day. They go the extra mile. Go and see for yourself and enjoy their special treatment.

Two visits and a third to come

Stayed in Cape Town as a base to see more of S Africa and wow what a country. But our choice of this hotel was lucky and inspired. Great staff lovely location efficiently run and super clean. The atmosphere inside being a guest is excellent. No one thing is too much, they can organise tickets print docs summon a car and supply a delicious breakfast.
The afternoon sees the chef bake a cake or delivery a cheesecake which you can enjoy with tea coffee (great bean machine) a glass of wine from their bar and relax on the terrace even a dip into their pool.
Thanks to all the team Tamzin, Elton , Richard and Elton for a great time on your beautiful country.

The hotel was amazing. everything about it was perfect. the location was perfect, room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The service was incredible and was treated like royalty. The breakfast was so delicious and tasty. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit.

A wonderful place to stay

What a delightful find! This is a small boutique hotel (11 or 12 rooms?). We were on top floor, with expansive views of the bay. The staff (& I mean EVERYONE that we dealt with) was so nice & cordial as were the owners. Breakfast was outstanding. If I ever return to Cape Town, I would head to The Tree House!

Pleasant Stay.

I thought this hotel was great. It was approximately 20 min walk to the V&A, although we caught a taxi. The hotel was clean with a modern decor in a quiet area. The staff from the owner down were extremely friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.
The breakfast was cooked to order and served in a professional manner. No other dining available but many restaurants within walking distance.
I would not hesitate to refer this hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel

Our stay at the tree house boutique hotel was amazing! It felt like a home away from home. The staff were so extremely friendly and helpful.

The morning breakfast was absolutely delicious! And each night there was a turn down service with a little something on our pillows. The hotel is a mere 15min walk to the V&A waterfront and it was easy to get Uber’s to and from the location. At the bottom of the street is the main road with restaurants and stores. Don’t be fooled by the exterior, the lobby, rooms and dining areas are beautiful and spacious.
