I don’t usually leave reviews, but this stay absolutely needs to be addressed.

This was, without exaggeration, one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room felt unclean the moment we walked in. The bathroom, especially the shower, looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a very long time. There was visible buildup, and the overall condition made it hard to feel comfortable using it at all. In fact, I didn’t even use the shower because it was that gross.

The bed situation was even worse. I didn’t feel safe sleeping under the covers and ended up sleeping on top of them out of concern for cleanliness. That alone says everything about the condition of the room.

On top of that, the entire property had a strong odor, and there was a noticeable smell of marijuana throughout the area. It didn’t feel like a controlled or well-managed environment, and it made the stay even more uncomfortable.

At this point, it feels like surface-level fixes wouldn’t be enough. The property is in such poor condition that it would honestly need to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up to meet even basic expectations.

This location seriously needs attention—deep cleaning, better maintenance, and stronger oversight. As it stands, I would not recommend staying here.

Worst place I’ve stayed at. We booked this hotel because it was just off the interstate, convenient to Riverwalk, dog friendly. This location was not in a very safe area. Did not sleep well at all because there was people running in and out of rooms and yelling all hours of the night. The room was also not clean. Mattress covers and towels were stained. Mold on the bathroom floor and ceiling. Thank goodness we were passing through and only had to stay one night. Do not recommend staying here!

The staff was great. I don’t think the room has been properly cleaned in months to years; soap stains and mold in the shower, some sort of fluid stains on the walls, dead insects and rubbish behind the bathroom door, and the floor leaves one with black feet if you walk barefoot.

The bedding appeared clean and the shower had good water pressure (have to wait a while for hot water though). For the price, it’s about what I expected.

The room seemed clean until we opened the microwave and roaches crawled out. After that, we saw roach after roach and one of the beds had dirty covers. We couldnt even sleep there. When i told the girl at the desk that it was roaches and the tv didn't work she ignored the roach part. We ended up just sleeping in the car.

Once inside the room, I was ok, but stepping out, it was disgusting. I can’t believe that’s a red roof inn. Worst one I’ve ever seen. Didn’t know they were that bad. Of course there were roaches. Heater didn’t work so they gave a space heater. They need to fix the place up but I guess it’s all about making money off of rooms that should be shut down for repair

As I was waiting for my Uber to arrive, an employee came to me on the property and asked me about a space heater and a microwave turntable plate... I didn't even use the microwave nor any heat as it was an unbearably muggy anyway. I told him I wasnt sure what he was referring to and he told me I'm not allowed to come back and I was now banned from the property. Idk

The parking lot looks like it has not been swept for quite a while. There may be a leak in the bathroom near the toilet because there was water on the floor before I took a shower. Instructions need to be provided in the room as to how to use the TV and the controller(s). I had to have the front desk come to show me how to use it. I spotted at least two roaches in the room, one in the bathroom and one on the counter.

Hello, the service is terrible. I rented for a week because I'm working in this area and when I arrived in the afternoon to pay for the next week, they wanted to charge more money because I had to pay before 11 in the morning. That's why I changed hotels. I don't recommend it to anyone.

I arrived for a prepaid reservation after a difficult trip which included the tire blew up and no ability to get roadside service. I was told I had arrived just after their check-in time and that I would have to pay again and take it up with the manager at 8 AM. I had to be at work at 7 AM. This is obviously dishonest customer service and apparently hotel policy

I rented 2 rooms for one night. One room had the floor peeling up and the under carriage of the AC unit exposed while the other one had stains on the bedding that looked “fresh” and a bathroom door falling off the hinges. Both rooms had dirt/smuges all over the walls. With moldy looking stains around the bathtub, toilet and bathroom.

Only decent thing about this hotel was the tv.

Room was filthy. Sheets had holes and stains. Floor had an extensive amount of dirt around the edges and corners. Bathtub had mildew and obviously wasn't properly cleaned due to the handful of hair lying around. Sink would regurgitate whatever was in the pipes. There was a man who was walking around throughout the middle of the night. Would see his shadow pass by the window every 15-20 mins. He even knocked at the door at 630am and I opened it to ask what he needed.

Property could definitely use some professional cleaning.

The only thing I liked about this motel is that the bed, pillows and sheets were clean, but I felt like I needed to keep my feet off the floor. The motel is used for long term residents. My room access was outdoors and it was across from a busy ice machine. Hole in wall that made me worry someone could see me from the other room. My door was not sealed well. I could see the light outdoors thru the crack.

Absolutely terrible we moved rooms 3 times first room has no lights at all 2nd room looked good but my husband was washing his feet grabbed the shower curtain rod for balance and gets electrocuted by the shower curtain rod bc apparently someone ran a screw through conduit and has electrified the rod....we moved to another room which has black foot prints all over the walls I mean everywhere!

Although I saw signs that said \"newly renovated,\" nothing appeared to have been renovated in this century. Everything was old and run down. Otherwise itp seemed clean as far as I could tell, but there were no room amenities like soap kleenex, etc., and the only thing available on TV was the TUBI network...need I say more? I didn't stick around long enough to try breakfast, but there was no mention of it when I checked in to a lobby(?) that looked more like a prison check-in than a hotel, so I don't know where it would have been served. The other Red Roof Inns I've stayed at were much more appealing. The area itself looked pretty rough and was definitely noisy. I won't be returning for another stay.

Mold all around the entire unit, it has at some point been a smokers unit as it reeks all of the furniture is dilapidated the bed was probably the original bed however many years ago they had roaches literally painted over on the walls the front door must have been kicked in before as there were numerous holes from them decreeing the latch I didn’t have high expectations going in because of the price but still seemed like even the basic cleaning was not done the water in the shower does not get hot and I had to shower with basically no curtain due to the mold on the curtain itself the bath towels were stained and I had to basically pick from the whiter of the two, I will never be coming back here again and unless they made big changes don’t recommend to anyone else unless your homeless I suppose.

The property had a sign that said newly renovated hanging on the building, it was by far renovated. The first room they gave me had a water leak and the water would continuously ran from the sink faucet. The 2nd room was hot, the tub was filthy, they were food smeared on the wall, the ac was dirty, and they were old beer left in the fridge. The only positive was the gentleman working the front desk.

Hello. I just checked out today, i reserved a 5 day stay, w/4 nights and the management and regular staff employess, refused me service while we were staying the entire 5 days there. They will let people in rooms, w/o even talking to the renter of the room first. They let my ex boyfriend in my room that we stayed in, but the room was only in my name, but he left entirely from room 2 nights before due to checkout. So i aak myslef , why woukd they lef my ex back in my room , not even knowin if i wouldve been safe or not, all bc they mad ehim a key. Lastly I called up there. I explaining to them that they had let him in the room that he had already been gone from because we weren't together and they told me II asked him to go tell him he had to leave if he wouldn't put it in his name, the rumor and he told me to call the police. Instead. Which would have put me in a dangerous spot of sorts so that was not an option for me and they refused to honor the fact that if anything was wrong or happened, damage wise to the room, that was still in my name, that I would be legally responsible for it. So I asked him at that point, to please go ahead and check me out right then, and he refused to do so, and hung up in my face. That's pretty much it.

I didn't stay here and was charged after calling the hotel that they were located too far away from me after evacuating FL due to Hurricane Milton. Someone else reserved the room for me but didn’t know the distance from where I was. The hotel staff said they canceled the reservation and to call
Expedia. Expedia told be to call the hotel. What a nightmare!!

I'll never stay at this poor excuse for a hotel again. They say it is newly renovated (at least the sign on the front of the building does) but that may only apply to some of the rooms? My room was like living in a third world country. They never offered room service even though I asked twice, the floor was never cleaned, and was sticky dirty, the bathroom sink stops draining my second day here and I asked them twice to have someone snake the drink / take care of the issue and they never did, the secondary security lock is missing the latch so this is a safety issue depending on who you are staying here, who knows how many other rooms look like this?

There was also staining and dripping down of something on the walls, not sure if that was a moisture problem or what. But it looks like someone poured Coca-Cola or juice down the sides of the walls, the room smelled musty and moldy...

No one was in the lobby when we arrived and sat in there for over 20 minutes til someone came out (btw once he came out he already had a attitude). They refused my service and also was rude to not only me but other customers who paid their money ahead online for a room.
