The room was clean but the layout was strange. The room had horrible lighting, the bathroom and TV weren’t located in a practical space. The people at the front desk were very kind but slow. I tried calling the front desk and nobody ever answered. They charge for parking then ask you to tip but still add a service e charge to the bill. The location was nice!

I was extremely happy with my stay. The staff were wonderful and very friendly, parking wasn't bad at all, and the hotel room was very spacious, clean, and the building itself has character and history. I didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast, however it was available and that's always a plus in my book as well. I'll definitely be staying here again and do absolutely recommend this hotel to others.

It's a small, manageable and recently remodeled hotel. Nice gym, convenient breakfast. Nextdoor to a Starbucks. Easy to get up/down elevators quickly. Very cool, old building that has been converted so lots of character. Many places to eat/drink within walking distance. Parking is indeed a litlte tricky... in an attempt to avoid the expensive daily parking rate I was paying the parking meters off and on the entire stay. Adds a bit of needless fretting but not a huge deal. Front desk staff could use a little work, they didn't honor our Expedia room booking and offered really nothing to help fix it. A/C in the room ran nonstop, wouldn't quite get to the setpoint, kinda loud. All in all a good experience, not perfect, but I'd stay again.

This hotel provided a very pleasant experience, and I particularly commend the exceptional staff. The individual who assisted with my check-in was both courteous and highly informative. My only reservation pertains to the mattress in room 122; it appears to be worn, particularly on the right side, which was quite noticeable. Otherwise, the room itself was aesthetically pleasing.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and usually it’s fine but after this last time I won’t be back. I checked into my room and it wasn’t clean. The staff was polite and helpful and switched me to a new room but I discovered the toilet was not working. I was told it would be fixed but when I got back around 11pm, 6 hours later it was not fixed. While the staff was polite and attempted to help there were no additional rooms and I had to sleep in a room with a working toilet. I have reached out to management twice and no one has responded. I will not stay at this hotel again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our 2-Night stay at this hotel. It was conveniently located across the street from an event that we were attending and it is within walking distance from bars and other attractions in the downtown area. We rarely had to drive for anything! The attendant that checked us in was a bit off-putting, but the rest of the staff was helpful and nice. The breakfast could have been better, (please consider putting quick grits packets out for those of us who don’t like oatmeal ☺️) but it got the job done. The room was clean and VERY spacious! The couch was a bit stained so we didn’t use it. All in all, I’d definitely stay here again.

The hotel is nice but there were many problems that ran through our four day stay. Though rooms were large and designed nicely, this is what occurred. Taking a shower flooded the bathroom floor- we asked for a room change and were told- it is a misdesign and a structural problem in all room. Hours later, we did get a room change, but had to move ourselves and realized too late there were no wastebaskets in the new room. This went on for several days, even when we informed multiple desk personnel, and though we asked, no staff came to clean the room.
We noticed no desk clerks especially in the am.

The staff at this property has a remarkable way of making you feel welcome. Their hospitality is wonderful. I really appreciated the way I was greeted daily by the front desk all the way down to the cleaning staff.

The breakfast choices should be better quality. Take note from another property that has good breakfast.

The trundle bed in the jr. suite needs to be cleaned. Hallways need to be vaccumed. Hair was in my bathroom.

The room was nice & clean (there was a dead little roach near the drapes, which I assume doesn't get vaccuumed much), bed was comfortable. Was supposed to be a river view room, but even from the 3rd floor facing the water the only view was the baseball field and parking garage. I am not sure if any of the rooms could actually see the water? The shower door does not close well, so be careful when stepping out of the shower onto the soaking wet tile floor (even with a towel down). The breakfast was pretty bad, at least the \"hot part\". We got there at 9 and there wasn't much left and it wasn't warm. The lady in back had to go and get coffee cups and utinsels for a few of us but she did it with a smile and apologies.

The front staff wasn't rude, but they weren't friendly. On our check out I told her that the TV was so dim it could barely be watched, as well as about the shower. She just said OK, but never made any notes, so I am sure it won't be taken care of.

Kitty-corner, near the water there is a parking garage that charges $6/24 hours and you can park there with no problems and easy to walk to hotel. It beats paying $30/daily for valet parking, in my opinion.

Overall it was very convenient for walking everywhere and very near the Legacy Museum. So while it wasn't a horrible place to stay, I think it was a bit pricey at over $365 for Thursday/Friday stay, I just expected more from Marriott.

I know check-in is not until 4:00pm, but I arrived at 3:00pm checked with the front desk stated check-in was at 4:00pm. So we walked to the river front until 4:00pm. We came back at 4:00pm ready to check-in only to find there was no room available. My sister checked back at the desk and she stated they had a room if we wanted to go there. Turned out to be a handicap room that had a bad smell. Went back to the front desk again she stated they had a room on the second floor. We loaded our luggage again to go to the second floor while I went to the desk to check-in. I told my sister to go ahead to the second floor and wait. When I got back to the desk she stated the room was no longer available. Waited until 5:00p, and finally got a room on the 4th floor. The master switch did not work so we slept with the center light between the beds on. This was a down version of all that went on. I worked in a hotel for 16 years this would have never been acceptable. We were told they had three buses coming in but found out they only had two house keepers on. This is where poor management starts. Need I say more about the women at the front taking in luggage, which we did not let her do because she was higher than a kite. A real hustler. You may want to have someone visit this property before you loose business. That many buses coming in would have been all hands on deck but trust me this was not. I guess that why all other hotel lobby's may not have had guest standing.

For a three nights stay, I would’ve expected my room to have been serviced at least once. I asked twice for my bed to be done and my bin emptied. Somebody did knock at 5 pm on the Saturday but I had just come back from a busy day sightseeing. They promised to do it on the Sunday, but never did.

I did appreciate having breakfast included and there was a great choice, but in a hotel of this calibre, I would expect proper cutlery, not plastic ones. The pastries, i.e. the croissants and bagels were stale. And the eggs watery. Waffles were great.

I could also hear the person in the room next to me snoring loudly, which made me have to wear earplugs due to bad soundproofing.

I loved the staff. They were so welcoming.

Payed for our stay with one key cash. Provided a credit card at check in for incidentals and was told it wasn’t needed. When I checked out the next morning the lady asked for a card since there wasn’t one in file. I gave her my card and asked if she just needed it for incidentals and she said yes. After leaving I checked my card and she charged the full amount to my card. I immediately called and she said I would have to wait until Monday and speak with the manager. I called back Monday and the manager said she would refund my card and that I would get an email with the refund. Still haven’t received my money or an email.

Check in was 4PM. At 4:07PM I was told to come back in 30 minutes as the room was not ready. At this time there was a lobby full of guests waiting for rooms. Finally got checked into a room at 5:07 PM(first floor even though I booked a river view). That room still had other customers items in it. Went back to the front desk, despite showing them a picture (see photo)of the occupied room I was made to wait in line again to receive a different room. Finally got checked into my second room at 5:27PM(second floor, despite reserving a river view). This room was clean and unoccupied.
Due to the delay to checking into my room, I had to reschedule my dinner reservations twice.
We also were woken up by housekeeping at 8AM despite my checkout time being 12PM.
Extremely unhappy with my stay overall.

Where do I start !!! 😡
1) We started out with valet parking.
Their valet parking is handled by a 3rd party.
We waited a few times more than 45 minutes to retrieve our vehicle.
2) Staff was very nice and polite.
3) Got into our room and refrigerator didn’t work.
4) The bed was old and terrible !!!
It was sagging in several places.
So much you could have rolled off either side.
5) We ask for our room to be cleaned and they didn’t clean or bring new linens.
6) Lighting was awful.
7) The absolute worst breakfast ever and no selection.
8) The coffee had coffee grounds in it every morning.
9) Location is good but we will never stay here again !!!

There was only valet parking unless you could find parking on the street. When I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 pm with three children including an autistic child, they cancelled our reservation. It was inhumane. They could care less that they stranded us 400 miles from home with no place to sleep. I found out from locals they overbook on purpose so they can insure they will be full.
