Rooms were big and clean. Was disappointed the pool wasn't open as I called prior to booking and was told it would be the dates of our stay. Is a little noisy with being by the highway and some loud guests. Overall worth the money spent to stay here.

I liked that it had a kitchen, but since I was traveling I would have preferred breakfast in the lobby. Some of the parking lots were out in the front of the building. It is in a dark location and made it harder to see. Charles recommended a great hamburger restaurant and it was good. I would stay again if these were fixed.

The photos are grossly misrepresenting the actual state of this hotel. I left without staying the night, and asked for a refund which is still not delivered. AVOID.

Everything was wonderful except the carpet really needed cleaning. The bar stools were in need of repair. Otherwise loved everything. Staff was great. I could tell the Lady day manager took great pride in the upkeep of her property. And by the way, on the day of check out there was a posted noted regarding the carpets being cleaned!

We got the 2bdrm suite and it was awesome. We utilized all 3 beds including the pull out sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen was very convenient and everything was very clean. Only small issue I had was not anything with the hotel but there were some people that checked in late at night and were very loud. I could hear them moving around in the suite above me upstairs. There was someone arguing in the middle of the night. Someone even knocked on my door but thank God they went away when I didn’t answer.

My stay at the hotel was okay overall, but there were several issues that made it uncomfortable. The room had nets, and no matter how many we got rid of, more kept coming back. There was a notice on the door saying the carpet would be cleaned, but it clearly hadn’t been—there were large, visible dirt spots.

The room also had a strong chlorine smell, which was unpleasant. In addition, the shower ceiling had a crack, and the hallway smelled like urine. Because of the odor and the gnats, we only went into the room when we needed to sleep, as it wasn’t comfortable to spend time there.

I wasn't going to post a public review, but the hotel denied our refund request. This is, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I've had on this platform. The provided photos are misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the rooms. We booked four rooms for an overnight stay, and they were all unacceptable. Our room had mold on the ceiling, cigarette burns in the curtains, and a greasy, slimy kitchen floor. Another room was infested with roaches. Overall, the rooms were not properly cleaned. The staff left shortly after our check-in, forcing us to seek alternative accommodations. Furthermore, the location is in a concerning area, with suspicious activity observed in the parking lot and surrounding neighborhoods upon our arrival. I intend to report this property to the Better Business Bureau, as it is unfit for operation as a hotel.

We arrived late and there was a person working the front desk. Had to call a number & wake someone up to check in. The property itself looks NOTHING like the photos used. A huge misrepresentation! We arrived at 3:30AM and there were at least 10 different people loitering in the parking lot, we witnessed what had to have been an illegal transaction taking place. This property felt so unsafe that we left and slept in the parking lot of a truck stop instead. BUYER BEWARE! We tried unsuccessfully to get a refund. Please, please do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay.

Room was large and spacious. The full kitchen was one of the perks we were looking for. Parking is limited. Sofa bed was dirty with crumbs and debris. We had to request a vacuum to clean it up. Dishwasher had dirty dishes from previous occupier. No extra trash bags in room. Despite the issues, we would stay here again for the two bedrooms, two baths, and full kitchen.

The front desk clerk was great he waited up until our arrival at 1:45 am. The room reeked of cigarettes the whole time we were there (2:00am-8:00am). The bed was very hard. There was no one to talk to at the front desk when I went in to check out.

The room and property is very dated. The best way to describe it is “rough around the edges”. It’s in need of a refurbish.

Room didn't feel too clean, could see hair from other people when we checked in. Asked for more towels after staying one night, there were non available at the front desk. Wanted to know when checkout was and ask for amenities, no one came to the front desk. The floor had many stains and wet spots on the carpet, couldn't tell what from. You could hear everything going on in rooms above and next door. No guide on the tv so you just have to flip through the channels.

I arrived and they said they had no reservation. I showed I made it and she said they are not with them. I said I already paid them she told me she was going to charge me 100 and she did not see the money from Expedia. She talked like I was in a low life person and it was like the ritz or Omni when it was not maintain part of the roof was going to fall in and she said I know I told them. I said don’t you have a maintenance man who can get on a ladder and get the dry way down and out up a couple pieces it could fall on someone head. Anyway, I would not let them be part of your organization. They are trying to get money to them and not pay you anyway.

This has probably been the worst hotel experience I have had. Upon arrival, the front door was locked and we had to call the front desk manager who was asleep upstairs in her pajamas and head scarf. We had to wait 10 minutes for her to get downstairs, and then an additional 10 minutes for her to wake up and comprehend what was going on. Once we finally got our room key and made our way to the room, it was absolutely disgusting. First things first, there was a trash pile right outside the door with socks and cigars, the trash inside the room was full and still had food from previous customers, there was a milky white liquid on the fridge, the oven, and the ottoman in the living room, the beds were not made and looked like they had been slept in. There were used towels throughout the room, the shower still had curly hair from the previous customer in it, and there was trash scattered throughout ths room as well. After calling the front desk manager and requesting a different and CLEAN room, we waiting another 15 minutes for her to arrive. After 15 minutes went by, we called her again and her exact words were \"I told you meet me at the front door, not the room.\" I expressed my disappointment in the room and requested a refund and she was extremely rude and was not apologetic at all. I will NEVER return to this hotel ever again, it was a terrible experience. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone.

We waited 30 minutes to check in with only 2 people in front of us. We finally get in the room after a long drive and the room is filled with roaches. We also found out there is no breakfast offered, probably because of the roaches. We knew we couldn’t get our money back due to it being through a 3rd party so we just grabbed the clothes we needed for the next day to keep the roaches out of our luggage and slept with the lights on so they didn't crawl in the bed. We contemplated sleeping in the car at this point but we were too exhausted. Worst night of sleep thinking about the roaches being on me. I will never stay at another Sonesta! This also makes me never want to stay in Montgomery, AL either. We also paid for a suite and couldn’t use any of the items because the roaches were in the refrigerator, the freezer, in the stove and in every cabinet and drawer, and in the bathroom. Even the dressers were crawling with them.

My family and I stayed at Sonesta ES Suites Montgomery and had one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The only positives were the full kitchen and the amount of space for our four kids, plus the fact that there were plenty of food options nearby. Unfortunately, everything else made the stay unacceptable.

The moment we walked into the room, we were hit with a strong cigarette smell. We went out and bought multiple bottles of Febreze to spray the furniture and drapes, and it didn’t help at all. After flying home, all of our clothes still smelled like cigarettes. We had a baby with us, and she kept coughing from the smell. It was so bad that we ended up staying somewhere else for the rest of our trip.

On top of that, the condition of the room was alarming:

A large crack in the glass sliding door/mirror

A broken iron

Trash left inside the dishwasher

A dirty oven that started smoking the moment I turned it on (we couldn’t even bake a frozen pizza for the kids)

A dirty couch and furniture that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time

The staff wasn’t helpful either. One worker knocked on our door to tell us our kids were loud, but when I asked her for more towels, she said they were only servicing rooms for people checking out.

Everything smelled like cigarettes, everything felt dirty, and the room was in no condition for a family—especially with a baby. We’re now rewashing all of our clothes multiple times because the smell stuck to everything.

For the price we paid, it was a good stay. The inside of the room was very clean. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was a great size and comfortable. The reason for only 3 stars is because it doesn’t look like the pictures online. It’s more of an extended stay type of place so there are families living there long term. We were uneasy when we drove up and saw bikes out in some of the lawns. We walked into our room and it smelled like someone smoked in there for a long time. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room. We had to go out and buy air freshener because we called the front desk and it took hours for maintenance to come. On day 2, I called the front office for fresh towels an d toilet paper and was told I had to take the dirty ones down to the laundry room myself. All in all it was a good stay but if you’re looking for a hotel with hotel service, not the best place to stay.

I did not enjoy my stay at all! The room had clogged shiwer kitchen and bathroom sink. There was food inside the garbage disposal. Which did not work. We were giving a replacement room. Which was full of black mold! And smelly plus extremely dirty. So we went back to the original room. They had no maintenance to repair the plumbing from Friday check in till Monday. Which we left the property that Monday Morning to go out on the town. We returned to find out that our room keys were not work to the room. It keep denying us entry. We were then meet by a gentleman UNLOCKING our room door and exiting the room! He stated he was the maintenance. Their to repair the clogs and disposal. Only to find out he was going through our belongings inside of our room. When asked about does anyone let the guests know that maintenance would be coming a day and time. He then got angry and stated (im jus maintenance). I reported the incident to the office. Then 10 minutes later the maintenance guy came from the back building angry and approached me. He got close in my face and told me I lied on him. I ask the gentleman why did he have the deadbolt on the door locked to where we could not enter a room that I paid for and my belongings are inside. The gentleman then squared up to me in fighting position. Then stated (you stay right here I got something for you) By this time another worker whom was a women saw what he was doing and called the manager. She then yelled (Billy report to the office now).

My room did not look anything like the photos. My room was very old outdated. I also did not feel safe on the property as there were people outside in the courtyard all day and night smoking marijuna and drinking alcohol. I would not recommend this place. I stayed at the Sonesta in White Plains New York and it was outstanding. I don’t understand how this hotel is the same brand as that one. This felt like a Motel 6.

This property is definitely not the worst but far from the best. I was in one room but it was disgusting. The carpet was nasty, the door had dirt everywhere, the sink had a strong smell, and the toilet was dirty. The room they moved me to was much cleaner but the carpet still needed attention.
