The hotel is pretty old and it shows. We had poor lighting in the hotel room and the tv in the living room space didn't work. Things just look beat up. The place was clean and the staff was friendly though. The parking was a pain. They had a big dumpster in the lot so parking spots were limited. The parking underground was dirty, wet from the rain, and dark.

This facility has a lot of potential. The bones of the structure are good. It just needs some major updating. It appears that nothing had been done in 15-20 years.

There were maintenance issues in the room that could have made the visit better such as toilet paper holder hanging from the wall, side table outlets and lights working.

The cleanliness also was lacking. That was someone else’s long hair on the tiles in the bathtub.

Also, I remember Doubletree giving warm cookies when you checked in. There was no offer. There were no options for breakfast or coffee available in the lobby.

It was a disappointing stay.

The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were clean, and the temperature control worked very well. The bedding, pillows, and sheets were comfortable. However, the glass shower doors did not prevent water from leaking, and the toilet continued to leak after flushing. Otherwise, the location is great and the hotel is generally good.

Stayed 2 days the room booked here was not honored. Was told the room doesn’t equal the same. When I booked a suite. The told me the rooms equals to a king handicap room.Was given a double bed room because apparently there were no suites available.The last day I was there the house keeper invaded our room twice at 8am and 10am l. Knocking on the door and walking into the room. My family and I definitely uncomfortable. When we were leaving asked her name and the name she gave me the front desk lady said she didn’t know her…said she would have the manager call me to accommodate my experience but never received a call. 14 dollars a day for parking. And the parking deck is nasty. Trash and what looked to be old parts to the hotel In the parking desk. Definitely will not be booking here ever again.

My stay was good. We wanted to eat in the restaurant which was open but did not have any staff for it. The only staff was the bartender and chef. The property should not recommend the restaurant if it is not able to staff it. Our room was very nice and comfortable but it was in need of some maintance as our bathroom door had water damage on it and the wall paper in the bathroom was peeling off and we had some light bulbs out and only one remote for two TVs.

For starters I was put into the wrong room upon my arrival. I ended up having to be moved to another floor and room but the room wasn’t in the best shape. The bathroom sink was stopped up. The furniture wasn’t very worn and falling apart. Then I was informed that the card machine was down which meant no one had an actual key card to their room and will need a personal escort to take us to our rooms to open the door every time we left and returned. I found it best just to leave my room door unlocked (a HUGE inconvenience) because there were only two escorts which were fairly busy. However, they were very polite. Lastly I was informed they only had one luggage cart which caused guests to make several trips to their rooms and cars during the check/out process.

The inconvenience at check-in to find out that the key card wasn’t working and hasn’t been working since Wednesday. I feel it was very inconsiderate of the manager staff to not provide the adequate staff for the weekend knowing that it was Valentine Day. I really felt limited to how many times I could go in and out my room been escorted and waiting until a staff meeting was available to do so. I definitely want to commend four employees who I feel like went above and beyond to make sure that things were handled to the best of their abilities. Lots of issues. The room was not clean. The lighting was very dim. The shower would not produce hot water (but tub and sink would). Only stocked with 2 sets of towels (for a 4 person room). Ice machine on our floor don’t work and the staff seemed to not care at all. Staff seemed like they expected the complaints a didn’t really care. I paid too much money for a ratty hotel room. To make everything worse, the checkin process was painfully slow. I will likely stop using Hilton properties moving forward due to this experience.

Very nice staff. Very professional. The building though needs work, badly. Who ever did the outside of the building was a good contractor. The inside should give them a refund for all repairs. The ceiling in our room had a chunk of plaster/popcorn missing. Almost like there was a mirror on the ceiling that fell down.The shower door did not swing open unless you were straddling the toilet. It leaked and got the floor wet. Add in still firty towels rolled up all nice but had black dots like fleas on it. I was very displeased by the quality of the facility. The staff though especially the charge as you go breakfast (not included in your stay) was amazing.

My room was not ready when I arrived so they switched me to another room and gave me a coupon for breakfast which I thought was great. But they did not change it in the computer and someone else came into my room as I was online with my class. The front desk then called my room wanting to know who I was and why I was in that room! They forgot to change my room in their system. I could not login to their wifi. I could not watch TV as there was \"no signal\" after about 2 minutes watching a show. One of the lights flickered and I could not use it. The heating system made noise until I turned it off. My card did not work to get back into my room the next morning after breakfast. There was only one poor waitress in the restaurant running around like crazy. All the tables were dirty. The front desk staff was inept. Terrible place to stay!

Staff is very friendly. The parking lot is well lit, feels secure, and easy to find a spot. The rooms are okay. A little dated, restrooms a little small, and dust bunnies in the corners of the room— in places a floor vacuum can’t go or where the carpet and wall meet. Really enjoyed the bar area and drinks. Bartender was great. The wait time on food was a very longtime. Also seems as though the chef doesn’t show up to work on time as that is what was being told to us guests and why we had to wait so long to get our food. We probably had to wait over an hour and a half for the chef to show up and then probably another 45 minutes to get our food. We just ordered a burger and a turkey sandwich club with fries for both. Thankful we had a bartender that was attentive. For the reasons mentioned above why I gave it three stars.

No one was at the desk both times I came through the door and needed help.

All of the reception seemed irritated to help me at all. Literally rolled their eyes bc someone from the bar had to go get them in the back room.

I asked about how to fix Hilton Honors and the first guy said, “I have no idea” and left it at that. Not helpful at all.

Felt as if I was a nuisance to anyone I talked to. The only nice people were the ones at the bar.

Everything is an up charge (breakfast, parking…). The bathtub had dirty water in it, I have photos.

I was hoping to use the laundry machines but it was used the entire time despite waking up at 3am and checking.

I have booked so many guests here. I am embarrassed to have sent them here and don’t think I will ever again. Def a shame. It’s beautiful on the inside but I did not feel comfortable whatsoever.

I will never stay here again. I feel cheated amd overcharged. While the beds were clean, the room was not. The bathroom door and walls were badly water damaged. Every metal surface was badly rusted. Other surfaces were obviously not clean. I booked a double queen suite with complimentary breakfast. When I arrived at check in time, I was told that room was not available. I got a smaller room with 2 double beds and a coupon for breastfast, which I learned was not complimentary. Oddly enough, the breakfat receipt showed a double charge for the breakfast. And self parking was $14 a night. I know its 2025, but that is too high a cost to self park at this hotel when no special events were happening. I wont ever stay here again and do not advise others to stay here.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at this hotel was far below expectations. From check-in to check-out, the experience was frustrating and unprofessional. The room was not properly cleaned, with visible dust and stains, and the overall maintenance seemed neglected. Basic amenities were either missing or not functioning correctly, and attempts to contact the front desk for assistance were met with long delays and unhelpful responses.

While I understand that occasional issues can arise, the lack of attention to guest comfort and service quality was unacceptable for a property of this standard. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements in cleanliness, customer service, and facility upkeep. Until then, I would not recommend this hotel to other travelers.

This hotel is a trash pit, a friend and I came to stay for a funeral. The front desk staff was unwelcoming and rude and the rooms were disgusting I would have rather canceled my stay and went to another property however they weren’t trying to issue refunds and their horrible attitudes made it uncomfortable to keep asking for better accommodation. The first room we were given had a pungent smell and mold in the picture, the second room had a broken drain and ac, and mold in the bathroom. my friend had blood on her sheets and an ant invasion the following night. This property needs to be closed and redone it’s no reason for people to pay almost $500 of their hard earned money to be uncomfortable. They also sprung on a $16 a night parking fee that wasn’t included in Expedia. I am HIGHLY unsatisfied while i was supposed to be grieving the loss of my mother i also had to be uncomfortable.

From the beginning of check-in, there were no luggage carts available, then once we entered the elevator it seemed to be semi-operational. The door to the room on the 6th floor was heavier than a freight train, the entrance to the room was spacious, but the bathroom space was equipped for a single occupant, no shower dispenser, door to the refrigerator was pulled from the wall and was very dirty inside with a loud sqeak. Pillows were very uncomfortable which made my night unpleasant. I stayed at this same hotel over 30 years ago and the experience then was far greater than now.

We stayed at this property in mid-August 2025 for a quick college student drop-off. The area around the hotel was nice, and the hotel is easily accessible with plenty of self-parking. The staff was wonderful! Unfortunately, our room was underwhelming to say the least. It was extremely humid in the room, which could explain the rust on the sconce lights beside the beds and desk lamp, but it doesn't explain the dust, though. It may also possibly be the reason for the curtains having some sort of residue on the backing that transfers onto anything that touches it. When we were walking to our car in the parking lot we noticed in the windows of a couple of other rooms that they too had this same looking residue on the back of their curtains, which is why we didn't waste any of the little time we had trying to get our room changed, figuring it may be an issue in some of the other rooms as well. There were several other issues as well, like debris along the edges of the flooring in both the room and bathroom, flooring under the b/r sink had stray hairs, holes in the b/r wall, and holes in the padding on the bed's corners, just to name a few. Overall, the room requires a thorough cleaning, improved climate control, and some updates. I reached out via email with feedback and offered to send photos, and they responded, stating that I should hear back from someone within 3 days. However, I have yet to receive a response.

I am an amputee have had both feet amputated. Showed up three minutes late for breakfast. Was told I could not order from the buffet, even though they would not have had to put out anything extra. I explained I will make one pass through there I don’t eat that much in the first place. I was told no they shut it down at 10 o’clock. However, they had just restocked the buffet at 9:50 but yet could not let me go through the line one time. I asked him what they were gonna do with the food. They said well some of what they were gonna sell Hollo cart some of it they would probably be throwing out and I ask him could they at least give it to the homeless or something? I own the company that employed 83 people and I understand that you have to have rules to go by. However, should I go to Montgomery again for another football game? I doubt seriously I will stay there. The people in checking in and checking out were great. It really wasn’t the waitress‘s fault because she was just following company policy. However, had they let me go through the line. He probably would’ve had me as a customer forever. I know it’s Doubletree by Hilton, but I stay at the Hilton in Las Vegas. I stay at the Conrad in Las Vegas. I stay at Trump international in Las Vegas, which I believe is managed by Hilton.

I usually like Doubletree hotels, but this was a bit of a disappointment: the ground floor room was under a gym and was poorly sound-insulated from weights etc being dropped on the floor above and the fairly small window opened out on to the car park which reduced privacy. I would advise patrons to ask for a higher floor.

in addition, the TV in the room didn't work properly although I could get a just about passable picture.

This property may have been decent at one time, however that is not the case now. Where do I start: the floor in the elevator was cracked and lifting, the chair in our room was ripped, the curtains were coming down, there was only one trash can, there were no clean wash cloths the entire time, the bathroom was extremely small, the drawer was broken on the dresser, the coffee cups had the wrong size tops, and loud construction of some sort was happening and quite noisy and the room had a weird odor when you walk in.

I left to purchase my on spray. The entrance light to my room didn’t work, the coffee maker didn’t work and was told I had to wait until 7a to get coffee even though I was up @ 5:30. So I had to leave the both days to go get coffee. The door entering the shower is on the opposite side of the handles so you have to reach around the glass that don’t move to turn the water on. I prefer getting wet inside the shower not outside the shower. I really want to eat at the restaurant but after experiencing all outside food (nasty) my taste buds decided to eat fruit the rest of my trip. All I can tell new comer to if you are particular about spending you $ and n food and stay you might want to do some serious research before coming to Montgomery, AL. There is a lot of history here tho. This is just my experience. To each its own. God Bless

My hotel room was in poor condition. The bathroom’s ceiling looked as if it had a past bad leak that was improperly repaired. The carpet in the room was very dirty. The base/platform of the bed was dusty and had traces of other visitors items (hair, pendant, and food. Also, trash was left in bathroom’s trash can.

I was originally booked in the wrong room. A single bed, queen size bed verses the booking which was two single beds. There was not apology for the oversight from the front desk staff. The furniture in the room showed signs of wear. Also, a dinner plate that was used was sitting outside the door of our room when we checked-in and was never picked up for the duration of our stay. Just didn't meet the exspectations of a Doubletree hotel.
