Great value, buzzy area

We really loved our weekend getaway to KL. We're loving Damansara and Bagsar both of which offer many new trendy f&b spots. The rooms and service at the hotel were top notch, the only area needing improvment was the pool. There was literally no service and when you went to the bar, the bartender seemed disengaged and couldn't even make an Aperol Sprtiz? It's on the bar menu btw... The whole area was a bit of a let down, otherwise, great hotel and superb value for money.

I love sofitel as a brand but this one was an average sofitel. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious but interconnecting doors / noise proofing was not great meaning can hear next room and corridor noise. Breakfast was busy and chaotic and food not replenished very quickly / staff not noticing what needed topping up had to ask 3 breakfast staff for same coffee order. Has potential to be great but at this point it's medium. More staff training and service needed!

The hotel is quite impressive and the staff are extreamlye nice..
They had issues in the hot water and plumbing.
They changed my room and gave me complimentary drinks and breakfast which was very nice of them
Overall, I would love to come back to the hotel.
The staff were great and the rooms big and clean.

Would love to return again

Great service, always felt welcomed. Had the junior suite which was really spacious with comfortable bed and pillows.. bathroom was wonderful too. Friend had the luxury king room which I felt was equally comfortable, with more than enough space actually. Conveniently connected to two malls which you can get food options, supermarket and convenience store.

It was a lovely stay. Well located. The new Pavilion is literally 2 min walk away and local food is available in the malls. The other mall is DC. MRT is just a few minutes walk within the Pavilion building. After I left the hotel to the airport, I realized that I left my Tiffany bracelet on the bedside table and might have knocked it on to the floor when I reached out for the phone in the night. Called the hotel, the manager, Akma promised me that he will check my room and he found my bracelet and kept it till I send a friend to collect it a few days later after I have left. The service is far and beyond particularly, Alma’s!

Sorry but not a great experience

Checked out after one night out of a 1 week stay and moved to a different hotel and no refund option…
Poor service was the main issue, lack of hot water in the room and the hotel rooms are dated and a bit knackered which is not what I’d expect from the Sofitel. Will stay with Sofitel in the future but not this hotel, sorry.

5 stars hotel but 3 stars cleanliness. The pillow & bed sheet had quite a few stain spots, bath towel also has stain in it. Amenities not replenish in the first day when we checked in.
The bed & pillows are too soft & the “sink in” feeling not so comfortable.
The aircon noise was too loud & quite disrupting our sleep. There’s a very obvious big water leaking stain on the ceiling at the aircon area.
The breakfast also taste very average but quite pricey.
Other than these, the staffs are actually very nice & friendly.
Hopefully the cleanliness & facilities can be better improve to match the 5 stars status.

Still one of the best.

The room was just as great as when I last visited in 2019. The pillows have definitely improved (I used to have to as for a firmer pillow as theirs was too soft); now they give you one firm one (not a foam pillow) and one soft one. Service was just as great, staff just as helpful and attentive. Definitely one of my favourite places to stay in KL. Highly recommended for its price point, location and service, if you choose not to stay in the heart of KL City Centre.

The hotel is surrounded on shopping n access the transport is at ease.
Encounter with the hotel checkin was smooth n fast. Explaining the detail on the checkin n parking.
The room that was booked for me, good impression upon entering, walkway to the hotel level n to the level is clean n filled with perfume.
Room was big, walking around the room / shower / work desk is comfortable. Shower n bathtub is big and comfort to use.
Access to the car park, was lead by the hotel staff at the lobby, and it is easy to locate the car.
Hotel staff are friendly n approachable to get information.

1st day- wait 1 hr to check-in(arrived at 3pm), given free welcome drinks but still need to wait for 30min for drinks. Room no floor mats, bathrobes and toiletries for one person only. Only sent when requested.

2nd day: no towels and floor mats left in the room after housekeeping. Reason: too busy.

3rd day: finally ok.

We're quite disappointed with the hotel parking as even with the special rate, the total cost of parking per day and per entry is still expensive. We only know on this paying requirement on the check-in date and the hotel has informed us that the parking lot has been shares with another building/ company, but shouldn't the hotel absorb this fee for the guest that has paid to stay in this 5-star hotel.

The hotel is new. However, each entry to the hotel is rm13-15 even if you are a guest in the hotel. I had to go in and out of the hotel and that cost a lot.
Hotel claims the car park does not belong to them and therefore the flat rate of rm13. Poor explanation on the rates by staff as they are not even sure of the rates.
My advise is not to stay in this hotel if you drive.

Moreover, the sink is easily clogged and there is not safe box in the room.

New Year Countdown Stay

A little busy during our check-in so no bellboy available to help on bringing down the luggage from car. Wait time is fine as there is some small crowd. Room is spacious however carpet not properly vacuumed. Some pillow covers with stains, towels look old. We even find out the housekeeper did not put on the mask when doing the housekeeping in another room. This has worried us and we need to sanitise the whole room again. Bed is comfortable and service is good though. Overall I would rate it 7.5/10 for the hotel with the price paid.

It took me a very long time to check in as the front desk officer wasn’t able to find my booking record even though I’d shown her the confirmation number . The lady even blamed me for booking separately where it was all done by hotels.com system. I did not even know how the system works. Very bad front desk service I had experienced so far in a well known hotel like this .The front desk officer was rude & impatient.

Check in and check out was amazing. Helpful and kind staff, shout out to Michel who was so kind and patient. Also the conceirge staff were always smiling and ready to open the doors for us. Room was wonderful but i must say the beds and coffee and bathtub was amazing. Best sleep ever in KL. Nearby DC mall made getting bites convenient. However parking area is limited. The pool with jacuzzi was just so so and maintenance needs to be improved. Food in the hotel lobby resturant looked amazing. I found one of the underwater lamps had popped out. Otherwise a fine stay.

Overall very good 5 night stay, friendly staff and helpful. Did notice the amenities were not refilled (coffees, teas, toiletries), had to call downstairs a few times to ask for things. Business location, only a few restaurants and one supermarket in the area. The DC Mall isn't really a shopping centre, probably waiting for more tenants to take up the space. 10 min walk to nearest MTR and then a 20 min journey to Bukit Bintang.

We originally booked for a luxury room but was upgraded to Junior Suite. As VIP guest we enjoyed many extra benefits of Club Millesime - all complimentary of course.. such as private check in and check out at Club Millesime, Le Gouter - French Afternoon Tea, Apero Chic - Evening cocktails and canape's, breakfast as Club Millesime, La Grasse Matine - a la carte breakfast and many more (refer attached letter)
They added a dose of French flair to the food and ambiance, uniquely creating a memorable \"Live the French way\" experience.
Big thanks to hotel staffs (local and French too!) who were very friendly and welcoming throughout our short family staycation . This hotel is highly recommended by us! Merci beaucoup!

Beautiful hotel, subpar service

The hotel's beautiful with spacious room and a bathtub in every room. That said, service needs to be improved. I checked in at 3.15pm (check in time is at 3pm) and all three front desk staff were occupied, which was fine. After a 15 minute wait, it was my turn and I asked if they were full today, to which they replied no. BUT my room was not available and I had to wait without anyone telling me how long the wait was until I approached them again. I only got my room key at 4-ish pm, which meant that I had wasted an hour of my time waiting. There was also no compensation of any sort, and one would think that a hotel of that standard would have better hospitality. It was also hard to call through to the concierge / operator - no one picked up even after a few calls.

But all in all, the hotel's great - if you can overlook the service factor, it's an enjoyable stay. :)

I have never stayed in a hotel with such poor services before. The second day on my stay I called in to ask for additional set of toiletries, none was given. No bottled of water was replenished. Make up was “thrown”. Upon seeing my comments on social media, the management came up and “investigated”. When I went back to my room on that night, a bag of toiletries of at least 7-8 set was compensated. I felt utterly insulted. This is not how a 5 star hotel should be operating. Disappointing.

Nice spacious room, i particularly liked the wedding anniversary surprise when i walked into my room. Great selection for buffet breakfast. Nice location if you are looking for a quiet holiday as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Supermarket and pharmacy conveniently at walking distance. The only let down was the pool which was in a shaded spot and cold.

It was an enjoyable stay. They even surprised me with a birthday cake n room deco. The ramadhan dinner buffet wasn't that fantastic. We didn't really enjoy it. The staff were all friendly on 1 particular staff seemed not so happy to collect our room service table. My husband had to tell him to fold the table so that he could pass the doorway n get out of our room. The housekeeping didn't understand English well wen I ask for extra tea packets. In the end he didn't place extra tea packets. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Prompt check in, courteous receptionist, managed to extend an hour for check out. Room was clean and comfy. Only thing that annoyed me was the hair dryer in the drawers. The line of the hair dryer was short and it's a struggle for tall guests.
