Hotel Select Inn Aomori is an older hotel that feels like it needs some updating. However their service was excellent. We had breakfast included, they let us take a different bun everyday and one night provided a simple supper service as the local restaurants were all closed due to a holiday.

Booked this hotel as it was the last available room in town! (There was a big event on when I went to Aomori.)

Hotel is a bit of a walk from the main drag, but nothing too outrageous. There are two conbini close by.

The rooms are mostly well-kept, but very old and run down. The bathroom was tiny.

Wi-fi was patchy at best - I ended up hotspotting off my phone most of the time I was there.

We find the toilet a little too small. Drawers were loose. But the room is clean and all the necessary amenities are available. Do note that their dryer is a little weak. Our clothes didnt dry properly even though we added an extra half hour to the drying cycle.

Walk a bit further to get good value for your yen!

A bit further from the station but we had a spacious room with a sofa - quite unusual with this kind of hotel. No problems at all. The girls on the desk was helpful with directions and we had an good varied breakfast - mixed Japanese and western with reasonable coffee. Great value for money!

Nice basic hotel close to the station

Conveniently located just a few minutes away from Aomori station (not Shin Aomori) and the main sights. The entrance is a little bit hidden right next to the convenience store. The staff spoke english and were great.

Comfortable, basic room at a low price.

For the low price one gets a clean, comfortable, non-fancy room. It is not a luxury hotel by any means, but the price is very reasonable, a bargain actually. And the hotel room was fine, if one doesn't like it they should pay more and stay somewhere else, frankly. Counter staff were polite & friendly.

Comfortable stay for family

The hotel is 15min walk from Aomori Station. In December, there will be thick snow on the pavement, travellers with big luggage will have difficulty walking and you may end up carrying your luggage. I use luggage forwarding service to forward my luggage from hotel select inn to my next hotel in Yamagata to avoid the carrying job. The hotel is clean and comfortable for my family to stay for 2 nights. The helpful front desk helped me to call my next hotel to inform them about my luggage forwarding. I used Google translate to communicate effectively with the hotel staff.

Hotel is a bit far from Aomori train station, about 15 min walk. Shops & eateries lined the road between hotel & train station. However, area around hotel is quiet at night as most shops operate during day only. Plenty of affordable sashimi sold in markets near hotel.

It is okay that hotel is old and room is small.

Fire Hazard - Won't Stay Again

Average Japanese hotel. Small but a bit dirtier than most. Carpets were really bad and pillows were hard and different. I would stay again except for the fire hazard. Access to your room is only through the elevator. I checked out the stairwell as we were on the 7th floor. It was full of housekeeping supplies and a roll-away bed partially blocked the stairs. Additionally, the lights did not work which really makes me doubt the emergency lighting. With 6 floors below me, I could not be sure that we could make it out if there had been a fire. This is not a one off occurance, rather appears to be an inherent disregard for safety practices and culture. You don't change that overnight, so be aware if you choose to disregard this warning.

Ordinary business hotel close to Aomori Station

Location is close to the station. About 10 minutes walk from the station. Parking is available for a small amount of fee. Ordinary business hotel in Japan. Room is small but very comfortable. The view is good too. You can enjoy the view of mountains and skyline of Aomori. Several convenience stores and restaurants nearby.

A decent hotel fairly centrally located. But Aomori is not a large town, so you're not really walking a long time for anything considered \"far\" from the hotel. It can get a little loud when the wind is strong, and the hotel is definitely in need of some remodeling/updating. But overall, great customer service and a good overnight stay.

A simple hotel with all you need for a comfortable sleep. The location is very close to the train station. Ideal for travellers wanting to do some side trips in the nearby cities.

豪雪の日に行ったので、思っていたより青森駅からホテルまでの距離が遠く、雪が積もってない時期にこちらのホテルは利用した方がいいな
と思いました
部屋に入るとすごくカビ臭く次の日に受験を控えた子供が喘息を持っていた為、フロントの方に部屋の変更をお願いし変更してもらいました
夜中に何度も非常ベルが鳴り、子供が怖かってしまい不安で熟睡ができませんでした
また、ホテルの近くに郷土料理が食べれるお店がなかったのが残念で、徒歩30分ほどかけて駅前まで行きました
朝ごはんのバイキングはメニューが少なく少し残念でしたが
2泊したので日替わり夜食（牛どん、カレーライス）が２種類食べれたのはよかったです

写真と違ってすごく古い建物でした。　防犯上のことだと思うけど、エレベーターは、フロント階で毎回止まる、めんどくさい。無料でカレー頂いたが　カレーもご飯も保温臭が…。下にコンビニがあるのは便利だった。

駐車場もホテルの真隣にあるので、車高の高い車でも難なく宿泊することができます。
また、1階部分がコンビニと併設しているため、

この頃フロントに人がいない時間があるホテルが多い中、早い時間から(ひょっとすると交代で一日中)フロント業務に当たっていたので、何かあった時は、、、と安心して宿泊できました。私の泊まった部屋のドアに
部屋番号と\"避難具装備室\"と書かれてました。
どういう部屋？と不思議に感じてしまったので、一言フロントでその説明をして欲しかったです。
朝ごはん用のパンの支給もあったりして嬉しかったです。
が、それなら飲み物にお茶だけでなくコーヒーの用意もあればもっと嬉しかったです。

サービスがとても良かったです。チェックインの時に無料のカレーライスを頂きましたが夜遅く疲れてましたからとてもありがたかったです。コーヒー無料サービスもありましたし、無料のパンも助かりました。朝食ま、とてもお安くて内容も良く、助かりました。

「禁煙室が空いたら禁煙室希望」と連絡事項に書いたからか、空気清浄機と消臭スプレーが置いてあって助かりました。

1日1個工藤パンと夜カレー無料券がもらえて一緒に行ったカレー好きの人が喜んでいました。

立地も最高でした。

建物はそこそこ年期が入っており、部屋も最低限の設備と広さでしたがスタップの人は皆対応よく気分よく過ごすことが出来ました。

空港バス新町１丁目バス停から近く、徒歩数分で便利です。チェックイン時に工藤パンサービスで菓子パンをいただきました。また、夜カレーライスサービスもあって、おいしくいただきました。古い感じはありますが、設備は整っていて快適に過ごせました。また利用したいホテルです。
