Room is well appointed & new. Breakfast & service ladies were great including those during breakfast. My only complain is that they don’t change your cups daily with the towels… are we supposed to use them for 3 consecutive days? I don’t think that’s very hygienic. Note : we did empty all liquids for the cups to be changed.

The hotel is very close to the Shinkansen station which makes it very handy to stay and do day trips on the local line. I went to hirosaki castle cherry blossom festival easily from here. One train and one bus it was quite easy going .
Breakfast was better than I expected.
The elevators are quick and efficient.
The bath is tiny. All up an easy stay and reasonable value for money

Toyoko Inn Shin Aomori

The hotel is very modern and clean and close to the Shin Aomori station. Breakfast is very good and the bed was comfortable. The only challenge is that there is little to do around Shin Aomori station, so you have to go to Aomori station for more restaurants, bars and shops.

Great place to stay to get a train from Shin-Aomori stn.
Only issue is 4pm check-in as most are 3pm. Room was excellent, had everything you need, block out curtain, hot water and good wifi. Bed a bit hard but had good pillows not the normal rocks in Japan.
Didn't use any laundry facilities or free breakfast as early departure at 630am although there was a huge queue at 630 am.
I was on 12F and you can hear trains a little bit but people were quiet by 10pm the night I was there.

Hotel was nearby JR station and located at a quiet area which was away from city area. Staff were helpful but to improve on their English language speaking as they use translator to communicate, very time consuming. Breakfast area was very small and cramped. At time need to wait for a while to get a table. Parking lots were very limited, need to come in early before 4pm to get a lot else to park at next private car parking area.

We chose this hotel as it is the only one at Shin-Aomori Station and we wanted to stay near here as we were going to take the shinkansen after 2 days. However, while we had requested for a room on a higher floor, we were shocked to learn that we were assigned a room on the second floor upon check in. Staff were not very helpful at first and insisted that there were no rooms left when we requested for a room change. Only when we showed them that we had indeed put in a request for a higher floor that they reluctantly changed it for us. Breakfast was very simple and not a lot of options. Location was very convenient but this is the hotel's only plus point. Overall, I will only stay here in the future if I have to take the shinkansen, otherwise I would rather stay at hotels near aomori station instead.

Convenient location: the property is located a short walk away from the Shin-Aomori JR station.
Bit disappointed with my check-in experience: I was told that check-in started at 4 PM (it was 3:55 PM). However other guests were being checked in.
Walls are thin: I heard banging throughout the night. Can also hear people using the toilet, hair dryers (the dryers are wall-mounted in the room, not bathroom).
My toilet randomly flushed throughout the night and at times, the water had this red coloring.
If you are just looking for an affordable place to stay that is close to the JR station, this is a good option.

Location is next to the train station, we could only stay in Aomori for 1 night so this location was excellent. We were able to take local train to the town for the short visit and had great seafood.

Far from the center. Check in not until 4p. Check out 10am. Had to fight for my bicycle to stay with me, even through they didn't have a secure room to store it. Not worth the money saved by staying here. Do yourself a favor and stay more in the center. 2 stars because staff was very kind.

The hotel is just less than 5 mins from the JR station. There are good restaurants and a convenience store nearby.

We stayed in this hotel for one night during the festival in Aomori. The hotel is right next to the Shin-Aomori train station, a 7-minute train ride from Aomori. It served its purpose perfectly. We arrived early, left our luggage and took the train to Aomori. Came back after the festival, the luggage was already in our room. The room was comfortable and the next day we continued by train to the festival in Akita. They serve a free breakfast, which is not something to write home about.

When we arrived at the hotel we tried to pull into the parking lot for the hotel, but it was full so we were told to park at one of the other pay lots near by. You have to pay for parking at the hotel anyway, but when you used the 3rd party pay lot you have to pay every time you leave. One nice thing is when I checked in they scanned my ticket and it gave me 100 Yen off. The overall appearance of the hotel was clean and newer, however when we got into our room it was extremely hot and humid. There was a strong musky smell that was most likely mold, but kind of smelled like cat urine to me. Once we got the AC going and cool/dehumidified the room, the odor wasn't quite as bad. During the night however, my allergies started acting up really bad and I was coughing a lot. The bed was your standard hard Japanese business hotel bed. And the pillows were the type that are semi soft on one side, and the hard beads on the other. Neither provided great comfort. They do have an included breakfast, which is nice. But overall, I wouldn't stay here again.

チェックイン時のスタッフの対応がよかった。また、朝食時に食べ終わっても居座り、長々と大きな声で話している外国人団体に注意を与えて、その場から静かに退去させたこともよいです。ベットは少し固かったので、快眠にはならなかったです。施設はきれいですし、お風呂も故障もなかった。温度調節が少しむずかしかったですね。

It was an overnight stay in Aomori but the stay was very comfortable. I did not expect much but the quality of the services by the hotel is excellent. The rooms were impeccably clean and the staff were friendly during the check in process. The hotel is very conveniently located near Shin Aomori Station which gives you peace of mind if you planning to travel to other destinations.

客室も清潔で、広さもありとても良かったです。朝食のバイキングも品数もあり良かったです。残念だったのは、寝間着のあるのがロビーとの説明がなかったので、部屋にあるものと思って深夜入浴しようと思った時に部屋になくフロントに問い合わせて取りに行った事です。

きれいで近い。コンビニはやや遠い。

新幹線の最終に乗って、新青森について駅を出たらすぐ見えます。近くにコンビニがないけどアメニティは自分で必要な分持っていけるし、部屋は新しい感じで全て清潔です。自動チェックイン機でスピーディーに手続き。朝食のビュッフェも美味しかったです。コンビニが徒歩7-8分で遠いのが惜しいところ。

新青森駅のすぐ近くの立地で便利でした
近くには飲食店が少ないですがバイパスまで出ればいくつかお店があります
コンビニは比較的にデイリーヤマザキ（ただし24時間ではない）、バイパスまで行けば24時間のセブンイレブンがあります
朝ごはんも満足でした

駅から近いのが魅力。周りに店舗がほとんどないので駅で調達していく必要があるかも。車の人は少し走ればいろいろあります。ただほとんど探検していないので私が知らないだけかも知れません。

Aomori er bestemt et besøg værd, vi fortrød begge to at vi kun havde ca. 24 timer i byen- så put byen på din bucket liste, især Nebuta Museet. Lokationen er god, hotellet ligger rimeligt centralt og ikke langt væk fra en af stationerne. Vores værelse var fint, et helt normalt hotel værelse, dog var sengene meget hårde- vær obs på det. Jeg foretrækker en hårdere seng, men sengene ved Toyoko var lige i overkanten.
