Hotel with good location and proximity to city center. Room is very basic and less detailed than some of the others we’ve stayed at, but good for a night’s sleep. Breakfast is good with a wide selection of both Western and Japanese options. The dining room was cute and nicely decorated for Christmas.

Perfect hotel situated within walking distance to Matsuyama Castle and many nearby restaurants. There is a Starbucks two blocks away, if you need a coffee fix. And the hotel is easily accessible from the train station by the trolley cars and the local bus depot is a block from the hotel.

the sink in my room was not draining properly. I reported to the front desk. The staff came to my room and tried to fix it, but it was unsuccessful. The hotel did not provide any solution or compensation. Apology was made, but no compensation was made. As a hotel operator, you are suppose to provide full services, including the sink. If you are not able to fix the problem, you are expected to provide some kind of compensation.

I really enjoyed my one night stay here. The check in staff were very helpful and we had a very pleasant twin room. You select the amenities you want for the room in the lobby- there’s no wastage. The walk to the local shopping street and cable car to the castle on the hill is easy. And there is a tram over the way which we used to get to the Dogo Onsen. The room was fastidiously clean (as most of Japan is) and quiet. Great choice in Matsuyama.

It’s well located, close to the castle and shopping, as well as being on a major boulevard with tram connections to Dogo Onsen and JR stations. Hotel is in the midst of a tourist area but is a few stops from the main train and bus terminals.
Our corner room is very comfortable. We can see Okaido arcade and tips of the Castle roof from our room. There is a massage chair and handheld body massager in the room. The bathroom is a luxury.
Staff is friendly and efficient.

We had two issues when we checked in. (1) the check-in process was way too long. We waited over an hour to check-in due to the lines. (2) there was no parking available so we needed to go about 10 minutes away to park. This caused us problems due to our large amount of luggage.
I also found the room small. This is clearly a business hotel tailored to businessmen.
The area around the hotel was fine and we could walk to the Matsuyama castle. Also several hotels and shopping available locally. The amenities at the hotel were fine.

The check in was awful. I got there around 5:30PM. The line was long, the check in staff was very slow, and one had a meltdown while waiting on a client. So that led to one other staff taking the staff who was having a meltdown away. That left one staff to check customers in. Now the line for check in was 2 deep. It took quite a while before they were staffed with 3 people to handle the check in. It took me over 30 minutes to check in for my room. Breakfast was in one of the restaurants but it was rather small for the number of guests which meant I had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated for breakfast. I did a lot of waiting for basic services. The rooms were adequate and of the standard I expected, but I cannot recommend this chain as my experience was below what I expected for a hotel chain of this size and quality.
