Staff was great. Location was great. Breakfast was good. Comfy beds and pillows. Covers were clean. Room 111 near the lobby is SO loud. We had to get moved the next day because people were talking so loud we couldn't fall asleep until 1 am and then at 5:30 am we were awoken again by the noise in the dining room. We barely got any rest. The ac is loud in the room. Bathroom was dirty and even had urine on the toliet seat. It had a musty smell as well. We have been staying at this property for many years. In the past, every time we visit Destin, however, at this visit, it was very disappointing. Our beds were not good. The mattress was practically a swing, and when we reported, we were told that they will flip the mattress and change our room which they offered. We declined because it was a total mass to wrap up everything. And then shift to another room for in the middle of our stay. We were there for 4 nights and the breakfast kept disappointing every single day from the first day of breakfast. Until our final milday at the property, the breakfast items kept disappearing and were kept getting limited in. Numbers that nobody cared about. We were a big group and we were told repeatedly that this is what we have. So that is what you will eat. Then, since we were a big group, we wanted to spend some time together in the breakfast area. In the evenings and a very rude night receptionist man kept interrupting us. Telling us that we need to leave the area because it's a breakfast area. And we are not supposed to be there in the evening things it was barely 9:30 PM. At night and he kept interrupting us and being really rude and then just left a bottle, a spray bottle of cleaning. Solution and a towel and said, you need to cleanup the one table where some of our kids were eating dinner. We just felt really insulted by the approach. He could have been nicer and told us the same thing in a hospitable manner.

Called to ask for early check in and it was approved by front desk.Front staff saw I was on crutches and I explained I was here for medical recovery overnight and I needed to rest that I could not drive I was dropped off by Uber. Told to go around to backside, there was no step free access or ADA parking and I had to navigate through two heavy closed doors. Staff knocked on door multiple times despite the do not disturb sign on door and then called my room multiple times. I called front desk reminded them I had approved check in early by front desk. Manger forgot and staff attempted to bully me out of the room so they could deep clean carpets. Refused and reminded them I was there for medical recovery. Overall just horrible I didn’t get the rest I needed to. No manager available in the morning and couldn’t get a receipt. Avoid this location.

This was one of the smaller Holiday Inns I’ve ever stayed at, but it did not disappoint! The facility was clean, the breakfast was great, and our room was very clean! The only complaint I have is the plumbing. The water seems to take forever to go down the drain in the shower, sink, and toilet so that needs to be fixed.

This property has a motel appearance along with they had duck tape on the ceiling as soon as you walk in . When we got to room 124 on the first floor we checked the room an on the surface appeared ok but during inspection on the beds and sheets we found long hairs under the tucked in covers . From there we removed the hair and tried to go to sleep but the air unit kept making noise so loud it kept waking us up . The bathroom tub was rusty and the shower head needed to be changed . The next morning we awake to my daughter saying is this a bed bug and yes there were two that we found on the top cover of the bed at the bottom . We went to inform the front desk and we’re met with no care or empathy they were only concerned with not loosing our money that they said they had to do an investigation on the bed bugs ? What do you think we brought them with us I’m confused !! Anyway no management called us and expressed concern the whole day we were booked to stay two days and only stayed 1 and had to get on the road and head back home 6 hours on no sleep or proper rest . It was my husbands birthday trip and we normally stay in Pensacola and just drive to Destin but we decided to do something different this time and look what happened . Today my husband called back up there bc this is the next day and no one has reached out to us yet . And miraculously the manager answered . She said they didn’t find anything so I guess we are the only ones to lose something here . Bedbugs in 2025 ?

The hotel is in a great location with just a short walk to the beach. The only cons were the in-room coffee (awful), and there was quite a bit of discernible noise from the hall and adjacent rooms.

It’s about three blocks (walking distance) from the beach! There’s an Outback restaurant next door and plenty of shopping nearby. This is my third time staying at this hotel. I would highly recommend!

The customer service was amazing! Very attentive front desk staff. We got in early and we were allowed to check in early (1room was available fortunately). Our blind didnt work, they had it fixed by that afternoon. Found a wad of hair in the shower, and the bathroom was IMMEDIATELY cleaned. My only complaint, the handicap door for the roll in shower is not ADA compliant. It opens toward the room and doesnt allow a wheelchair easy navigation because it is boxed in. Very strange. Also the bathroom itself needed the floor drain flush with the floor. It sticks up above the tile so there was literally standing water on the floor the entire stay in room 110. Annoying mostly. The hair dryer had a sticky film all over the handle, i just wrapped a towel around it. Didn't ask for a new one though i would have had no problems im sure getting one. The installer for the faucet in the shower put it in the middle like a moron, and the water just flows down the floor creating that puddle i mentioned. Had the shower faucet been placed correctly on the end to begin with the floor may not flood. There are cracks in the ceiling drywall that need repaired with peeling paint. The dining area though was always clean and for a hotel breakfast, good overall. It is close by all the shopping and very easy to access from the strip.

Toilet flushes very slow and always seems like it going to overflow. Room was missing remote, but they gave us a new one. We also had to go to the front to ask for help with the AC.

When I arrived, I was told that all king rooms were full, even though I had reserved one over a month in advanced. Also, the hallways look like they haven’t been vacuumed in a very long time. And lastly, the walls are paper thin! We had some very loud neighbors that talked at full voice and we could hear their entire conversation. It woke up my infant and kept us up until about 1am. The only redeeming qualities about this hotel is its proximity to the beach and friendly staff.

Comfortable beds & clean room. Housekeeping cart left in main hallway 24/7. This was also around the corner from the front desk & next to the breakfast area. Difficult to handle luggage going in & out of hotel. This is also where 3 to 4 staff would congregate & block hallway. Food service staff grumbled to herself the entire time while working & glared at patrons. Very odd! Dining area & tables were not cleaned during breakfast. Only at the end of service time. We stayed an additional night & paid the hotel directly. My credit card was charged for an additional night the following day after leaving 2 hours before checkout. We have contacted the hotel directly for correction. They claim to not see an additional charge. We will refute the charge with our credit card. Only book & pay through Hotels.com app from now on.

Best advice given to me that I can pass on: Do Not park on the sugar sand, or your vehicle could sink and you would need a tow. ALWAYS take out more trash than you brought in! Make it a tradition to pick up some trash while visiting beaches...every little bit counts!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay. Room was perfect and housekeeping refreshed the towels, discarded the trash and made the bed every day. That’s not the standard at most hotels anymore! Breakfast was pretty good - decent choices. Pool was nice. Free parking (just wish the lot was bigger). Also, the property doesn’t look like the pictures. They’re in the process of updating/remodeling. It was quiet at night despite that. Shopping and restaurants nearby and beach a few blocks back. I’d stay again.

Checkout time is 11am. At 9am housekeeping knocked on my door, woke us up (we got in late the night before) and showed off we checked out. This was on top of the roof repair that started at 8am... We were on the top floor so we heard all the noise of hammers and equipment.
