We really enjoyed our stay at the Henderson. We appreciated the on-site amenities and easy access to their private beach. The food was really good and the staff were also wonderful, especially the pool bar and beach staff. You can easily spend multiple days at this resort without going offsite. I also appreciated the proximity to the park next door and many good restaurants within close driving distance. We will be back!

I rarely write reviews, but this place was amazing. In the last three months we’ve stayed in resorts in Turks and the Bahamas, but this was actually the best. It does have a resort mixed with hotel feel, but I would rate this place one of the best we’ve ever stayed at (completely honest). The rooms are very clean, and the staff is the best I’ve ever experienced. The valet guy even called me by name every time I saw him (not sure how he remembered that, haha).

Beach is about a three minute walk, they have awesome pools (1 adult and 2 family with lazy rivers), good restaurants (highly recommend Horizons) and drivable access to others off site. They have complimentary bikes to ride on the side walks along the beach, complimentary Starbucks machines, complimentary tea stations, a big game pavilion and even their hotel shop is cool (bought two hats, a shirt and flip flops :-) ).

Overall, like I said, the best. Skip other hotels or ABB’s and stay here. Oh, and I am NOT being compensated for this. Just a super honest review from a first time guest.

We’ll stay here next year for sure.

Nicest pools with long lazy rivers, hot tub look like something out of Roman times, beach was the nicest sand . The gyms were great too. Lifted some weights then relaxed in pool until 10 at night, would like to go back next year and see blue angels show

The Henderson is a beautiful property and has wonderful accessibility to the beach front as well as access to the main road for outings, dining options and shopping. I visited the spa and the staff could not have been nicer and were very kind. The room service was delicious, I loved the patio facing the water and the ceiling fan was a wonderful addition as we were right near the water. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

This property was beautiful! Staff was very kind and helpful. Food from the gastropub and from the grill were amazing. The real game changer for me was the adults only pool. No kids splashing around or fussing. My only complaint was there was no microwave or blow dryer in the room. We plan to come stay many more times.

Service was just not very good over all. Slow, multiple asks, forgetting things and making mistakes. For example, grabbing the wrong car twice, not cleaning my room until the 4th day, taking 45 minutes to get my drink pool side. And even when they “cleaned” the room, that means making the bed and taking the trash out. Nothing about this stay made us feel “special”.

Beautiful resort and this was our second stay. The property is gorgeous, and the valet staff was fast and friendly. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t as strong this time. Pool and beach drink service was inconsistent, housekeeping required multiple calls for basic supplies (more towels, toilet paper, shower gel, etc.), and there was confusion among staff about how to use a resort gift card. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay, but for the price, we’d expect more consistent service.

We recently completed our third stay at Henderson Beach Resort and was disappointed to see a noticeable decline in overall quality and service compared to previous visits.
While the resort was generally clean, the main pool area was dirty and poorly maintained. In contrast, the newer pool was very clean and well presented. The valet staff were consistently friendly and helpful; however, the front desk team, particularly an associate named Sarbeth, was unfriendly and unaccommodating. Interactions often felt like an inconvenience to them, which detracted significantly from the guest experience.
Overall, I would rate this stay 3 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, the service issues have led us to decide not to return.

The only real major complaint we had was the children / teenagers at the \"Adults Only\" pool. There was no enforcement by hotel staff and when this was a deciding factor for choosing this resort, it was very annoying. The beach access from the main hotel is quite a hike (across the resort, across the road, and then down the boardwalk to the beach. Food was excellent at the hotel restaurants. Alcohol was very over priced! But all in all it is a nice getaway. If you have a passport, do an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean where you aren't paying $18 per mixed drink.

Beautiful property. Great location. Nice pools. Good sized rooms. This place should be perfect.

Two flaws (each costing one star in my review):

1: To sit on the beach, you have to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for $60/day. I've never experienced that, not in California, the Hampton, Palm Beach or Jersey Shore. On top of it, they are the least comfortable chairs I've ever sat in. If you're going to charge a ransom, at least provide quality.

2: The recreation department is very disorganized. We had an absolutely lovely yoga session on the beach, but if you look at their website, all recreation sessions are not available to book. When we tried to call, we constantly got transferred to one department or another and no one could tell us the schedule or how to sign up. Half the time, we got disconnected. If finally took spending a half hour with the concierge on the day we arrived to get booked for the yoga class the next day.

Hands down the nicest hotel property we have stayed in at the Florida panhandle. We recommend the hotel option where the rooms and common areas are in the same category as the Sanctuary at Kiawah Island. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the food was great. The beach is a short walk away, and the pools are beautiful.

The only negatives I noticed were trash in the self parking area and a few items like drink glasses in the porch area not picked up from the night before. I’m not taking a deep dive on the tv vendor but let’s just say I missed Google fiber which I have at home. I am currently visiting the panhandle again at a different location with the same service and both locations should find a better option. On a scale of 5, I would rate the tv provider a 1.

Only down side to this property outside of its control is that there is a tourist helicopter across the street that takes off every half hour. Fun to see at it first, but rather noisy and distracting. Also, they book wedding and proms here with music going till 10pm.

This is a very beautiful and very expensive hotel. Everything costs extra. Want to park your car? 29.00 per day. There is an additional 49.00 per day resort fee.a glass if house wine is 18.00 and they include 20% service fee. Oh and its called a beach resort. Want a chair at the beach it will cost you 49.00 for half day. Hmmm. We had to have our refrigerator replaced because it didn't work, then the tv kept going out (not that we were watching it much but it didnt work when we did. The sensor on the balcony door was broken so sometimes we didn’t have a working thermostat because it thought the door was open. I did take advantage of the spa, and had a nice massage, chilled out in the lavender room with a glass of bubbly. Prices were high but expected , they also included a 20% service charge. The view from the balcony was beautiful. A little annoying to have the helicopter tours overhead. Beautiful sunset spot. Restaurant was ok , not great and again very expensive. There is a service charge and some sort if use charge for room service so a 16.00 salad costs over 40. There is free fresh brewed Starbucks coffee on every floor, i would suggest taking advantage of that. I will likely pick another hotel or resort when returning to the area. Overall beautiful and high end, and quite enjoyable. but not worth all the extra fees they charge.

The hotel was lovely and the proximity to the beach was only a f minute walk. The Primrose restaurant was nice, and the food was good. Their single glass of wine selection was limited when it comes to reasonablly price. More economical options would be nice.

As lovely and nice the hotel was, the resort fees on top of the extremely high priced spa packages and additional room service fees will certainly deter us from staying there again.
