It’s hard to get the front desk when calling. I think I literally called an AI person and finally got to the actual hotel that I was staying at after several calls. It was annoying because I was arriving late and needed a late arrival time. I finally got ahold of someone, it when I arrived they had no idea I was going to be late - so my room was given to someone else. I got a room- so that was good. We somehow days without water pressure and hot water. Finally on the third day we got both.
The room was clean and the hotel was clean.
The breakfast bar was good - and the swimming pool was nice
Overall - good- but those few things wouid have made the stay much better

The hotel had water problems during our stay that affected the showers, Other water was unaffected, but showers are a big issue. We were made aware of it when we checked in. There were plumbers on cite working to handle it.

Aside from that, this was perfect for us. The rooms were fresh and clean and have more usb outlets than you could possibly need. I appreciated the efficient strategy in the rooms. The outdoor pool was nice. There’s an outdoor shower near the pool for folks returning from the beach. Breakfast was good. The lobby is a nice open area where guests can mingle.

Would definitely stay there again.

Worst hotel experience ever! Very little and at times no water pressure. No hot water. They offered a 50 % discount, but I booked through Expedia so it was hard to obtain. I would have preferred to be transferred to a hotel with hot water. Not sure how the city allows them to operate. Will not be going back. I also will not book through Expedia again due to not being able to cancel reservation after the first night of no water.

Stayed here for a family trip and overall had a great experience. The location is hard to beat. Close to grocery stores, food, coffee, and outdoor activities, so we never had to go far for anything. Property itself was well maintained, and staff were on duty 24/7 including housekeeping, which was nice to have.

Only issue was significant water pressure and temperature problems, to the point where showering wasn’t really comfortable. That’s the main reason for the four stars instead of five.

To their credit, management acknowledged the issue right away and moved quickly to make it right with a refund. Appreciated that they didn’t brush it off.

There was a water issue during our stay. First night water pressure was extremely low and temperature was almost hot. Next night water didn’t get hot at all, just almost warm. Some guests had no water at all. The hotel refunded a partial amount, if you went to the desk to complain. The water issue happened Thursday June 25,2026, I checked in on Friday June 26, 2026 at 6pm. I wasn’t notified at check in of water issues and I had already been charged for that day and paid remaining balance of $528.00 upon checking in. The partial refund wasn’t even 1/4 of my total bill. Other than water issues it was a great stay. They just need to inform guests at check in of hotel problems.

The photos are a bit misleading; the rooms are smaller than they look, and the place didn't live up to what we paid. The place was clean except for a red stain we found after a week or so—we called, and they replaced it in about 3 hours! And all weekend long we had problems with the water pump—very little water came out of the shower, and it took us a long time to shower, especially since we were eager to get clean after coming back from the beach, but the water pump kept acting up. That really upset us the whole time we were there; other than that, it was just okay.

We recently stayed at this Hilton property in Destin and left feeling a bit disappointed. There were several maintenance issues during our stay, including little to no water pressure, inconsistent hot water, a broken pancake machine at breakfast, and what appeared to be black mold in the bathroom. These issues made the experience fall short of what we typically expect from a Hilton property.
That said, the staff was friendly and courteous throughout our stay, and the pool area was clean and enjoyable. The location is also convenient for visiting Destin’s beaches and attractions.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I hope management addresses these maintenance concerns. With some improvements, this property could provide a much better guest experience.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The rooms were spacious. We initially reserved a room with the bunkbed, which was very nice. It was a bit dusty, but nice. There was a major issue with the water pressure in the entire hotel. Many guest complained about this. The water in the bath room shower started trickling on our first night by the second night it was almost nonexistent. Couple that with not having any hot water. We complained to the front desk staff and were moved to another room with no charge. This was a two bedroom queen. Water pressure was better and we had hot water however, by the second night we had the same problem no hot water very low water pressure. The staff seem to be working on it, but it was not resolved by the time we checked out a day later. Breakfast was provided daily. Waffles, pancakes, bagels,, and powdered eggs. The waffles and pancakes were all on self-made machines and were not always easily workable. There was no fruit provided at breakfast. The juices were orange juice adjacent.

The facility was very clean, the bedrooms were really nice. The staff was also very nice. We did ask for early check-in and it was not available for us at that time, which is ok. What was very nice was when we did check in, the air was already on in the room so it was very comfortable and comforting almost like a welcome in feeling. If I had one negative, it would be that the shower pressure is extremely lacking, but overall, we had a nice short stay and are very appreciative of their services.

The staff was amazing! The hotel was incredibly clean and the breakfast area was so cool! Yogurt out of a spigot (not the frozen kind like ice cream, actual yogurt) and you could pour pancake batter in a machine and it spits out pancakes! And I’m not confusing it with the waffle machine! The pool was cute and the fitness area had a Peleton. A PELETON!!! As far as the staff, it was pouring down rain when I brought our luggage in and I was soaked. The girl working at the front desk brought me a towel and helped us get our luggage upstairs—she didn’t have to do that. That’s going above and beyond! Another staff member gave me some good real estate tips too! Bottom line: I loved this hotel and would stay again. Highly recommend!

One staff member was not friendly or pleasant. Our room was supposed to be cleaned on Sunday, 4/26, but it was never cleaned, so we went to mention this to the front desk. We were met with an argument/debate. Instead of saying, we will send somebody up to clean your room shortly we were met with an argument and accusations that we must have had the do not disturb sign on, which wasn't the case and she stated this before we even had giving her our room number. Second, we asked for towels as our room has not been cleaned and we no longer have any more clean towels and began to be interrogated on where we are going. I come to this hotel every time I stay in Destin and have never had such a rude experience. Our room was eventually cleaned, but they did not clean the shower or remove the old, dirty towels from the bathroom. This might be my last year coming to the Tru By Hilton.

The things I didn’t care for with the hotel was the fact that the air conditioning unit barely turned on at night but was great during the day.
