This ski hotel is situated at 1,800 m above sea level, 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Arosa. The hiking routes and skiing trails of the Graubünden canton are situated right next to the hotel.
The air-conditioned ski hotel complex offers 128 rooms and comprises two buildings, a traditionally styled property and a modern building with local pine wood. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which offers a 24-hour reception and a 24-hour check-out service, as well as a hotel safe, cloakroom, currency exchange and lift access to the upper floors.
Guests can enjoy a drink at the café, bar and disco, and dine in the restaurant. Business travellers can make use of the conference facilities.

very good experience...junior suite was top after changing from the first one offered which was much smaller and darker. We found out that they offer junior suites but do have 3 categories of Jr suites...our advice make sure that you get the better ones.
The Spa section is really great...state of the art with a very generous swimming pool.
Generally the staff was very friendly and always ready to help.
Breakfast buffet: plenty, fresh, with great variety; cold cuts should be of better quality and not the kind you find in a second rate low cost super market.
Arosa is very hilly and handicap elder visitors...it seems that it also has a micro-climate that bring in clouds and rain...be sure to check weather forecasts. The road (there is only one) from Zug to Arosa is a nightmare.

A lovely hotel!
Despite not being able to ski very much because of snow storms we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was a perfect place to go with kids as they were very nicely catered for with kid sized toweling robes and kid friendly bedding. The swimming pool was popular and they also enjoyed the kids club which had a good program of activities in the morning and evening.
The breakfast buffet was very nice and we had an extremely enjoyable meal at the Kachelofi Stubli restaurant one night (without the kids).
The staff were all friendly and helpful and it is definitely a place we would return to.

Entspanntes Skiweekend in Arosa
Skiwochenende in Arosa mit einem schönen Skitag. Das Hotel hat mir sehr gefallen, guter und freundlicher Service und Betreuung der Gäste. Hervorragendes Frühstück. Parkplatz vor dem Hotel gerade noch den letzten erwischt. Ansonsten wäre es mit 20.- Zuschlag pro Nacht in der Tiefgarage möglich gewesen.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Waldhotel Arosa und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und kompetent. Dass das Wohl des Gastes ihnen sehr wichtig ist, hat man seit dem ersten Kontakt direkt gemerkt. Der Wellness Bereich ist sehr modern und bietet viele Möglichkeiten sich optimal zu entspannen. Auch die Ruheräume sind mit sehr angenehmen Betten und Sesseln ausgestattet. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen.

Hôtel superbe, bien placé et très bien aménagé dans les parties communes. Très bon petit déjeuner mais propreté à revoir et état de la salle de bain vraiment limité. Service moyen, loin du std d’un 4 étoiles. Ils font beaucoup de chichis mais n’ont pas « la base » (propreté et bon service, dont service de restauration)

Wir haben dieses "4-Sterne-superior"-Hotel über hotels.com gebucht, und eine Zusatznacht direkt beim Hotel telefonisch hinzugebucht. Ankunft: Es gab genug Parkplätze, Der Empfang war einwandfrei.
Das Zimmer war jedoch nicht 4*s (siehe Bilder). Die Bilder auf der Website des Hotels zeigen ganz andere Zimmer. Auf Nachfrage erklärte man uns, dass circa 30 Zimmer noch so aussähen, der Rest sei schon renoviert. Auf meinen Einwand, dass diese Zimmer nicht dem gebuchten 4*s-Standard entsprächen, wurde mir beschieden, dass "viele Gäste den rustikalen Charme dieser Zimmer zu schätzen wüssten".
Beim Frühstück mussten wir unseren Tisch selber suchen, da niemand im Saal war, der uns an den durch das Hotel zugewiesenen Tisch führen konnte.
Der Wellness-Bereich ist schön, wenn auch etwas unlogisch angeordnet. So muss man z.B. von der Finnischen Sauna aus zwei Ruheräume durchqueren, um zum Kaltwasserbad, der Kübeldusche und dem Eisbrunnen zu gelangen. Leider gab es auch Gäste, die den Sinn des Wortes "textilfrei" nicht verstehen. Eine Masseurin entschied eigenmächtig, eine andere als die gebuchte Massage durchzuführen. Ein Abendessen im "Kachelofa-Stübli" (16 Gault-Millau-Punkte) liess ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig. Versalzene Hauptgänge und das Nichtvorhandensein einer zweiten Flasche des georderten Weines enttäuschten.
Für die zweite Nacht verrechnete das Hotel CHF 430.-

Sehr freundliches Personal, Essen bei Halbpension als 5-Gang-Menü mit sehr guter Qualität, Frühstücksbuffet top, Buffet wurde immer wieder nachgefüllt. Es gab immer auch zum Abendessen kostenloses Wasser. Sauna Bereich sehr schön, nicht besonders groß, wird aber auch nicht von sehr vielen Gästen benutzt, daher für die Erholung nach einem aktiven Tag vollkommen ausreichend. Nettes Hotel kurz vor Saisonende
Da wir uns sehr kurzfristig entschlossen hatten, waren nicht mehr viele Zimmer verfügbar (grosse Gruppe). Unser Zimmer war schön (wahrscheinlich renoviert) und sauber aber ziemlich klein. Bad schön, uns aber fehlte die Tür zur Dusche, denn so hatten wir jedes Mal eine ziemliche Überschwemmung im Bad. Wir konnten die tolle Dusche gat nicht richtig geniessen, weil wir so aufpassen mussten. Sehr schade.
Obwohl auf der Website noch vermerkt, war das Gourmetrestaurant bereits geschlossen, was wir sehr bedauerten. Der Service im Restaurant am 1. Abend war durchzogen; gewisse Leute waren aufmerksamer als die anderen. So hätte man z.B. unbedingt merken sollen, dass wir zum Salat kein Brot mehr hatten. Frühstücksbuffet hingegen sehr gut. Am zweiten Tag war der Service viel aufmerksamer, vielleicht auch, weil ich Geburtstag hatte? Insgesamt war es ein guter Aufenthalt mit nettem, freundlichem Persnal. Wir würden sicher wiederkommen, aber nur, wenn ein grösseres Zimmer frei wäre. Sag niemals nie!

Frühstücksbuffet ausgezeichnet, keine freie Sitzwahl. Wellness mit diversen Saunen; Sprudelbäder oder Hotpots sucht man vergebens. Einige Zimmer (billigste Kat.) sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Minibar wird nur auf Wunsch gefüllt. Die Zimmer sind nicht schallisoliert. Das Personal klopfte schon um 0900 Uhr und wollte das Zimmer reinigen - obwohl am selben Tag ausgecheckt wurde.
Die Bar/Lounge ist gemütlich, teilweise mit Live-Musik. Die Speisekarte um 1600 Uhr ist sehr beschränkt.

In den Zimmern im modernen Alpenchic und dem angenehmen Wellnessbereich lässt es sich wunderbar entspannen. Das feine 5-Gänge Menü und das reichhaltige Frühstücksbüffet haben wir sehr genossen. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt in der Schneearena von Arosa.

Schönes Hotel, zentral gelegen und teilweise modernisiert. Für ein 4-Stern-Hotel war unser Zimmer allerdings ganz schön in die Jahre gekommen. Badezimmer aus den 70ern ist für sfr. 230 pro Nacht schon nicht mehr ganz der Standard.

Alles super! Auch dass man am Bahnhof abgeholt wird! Für diejenigen die Skifahren ist Hotel auch ideal gelegen - Anschluss an Skipiste gleich beim Hotel. Das gleiche gilt für die Füssgänger/Wanderer.

Alte Zimmer völlig überteuert
Wir hatten eine Nacht gebucht. Beim Empfang um 15.30 war das Zimmer nicht bereit und man machte sich nicht einmal die Mühe, uns wenigstens über das Hotel zu informieren! Somit besuchten wir Arosa und kamen erst spät und müde ins Hotel zurück. Der Schock am Tag danach. Das Zimmer (121) ist für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie sowie für den Preis eine regelrechte Zumutung. Es ist sehr klein und man sieht an den Kacheln im Bad, dass die letzte Renovation Anfang der 80er Jahre stattgefunden hat. Beim duschen in der Badewanne sprang mir der Duschgel Dispenser auf die Füsse. Eine gesprungene Kachel am Badewannenrand steht hervor - man kann sich leicht verletzen. Einzig die Bettwäsche ist ein Lob wert. Da das Personal sich offensichtlich für dieses Zimmer schämt, wurden wir nicht einmal gefragt, wie uns der Aufenthalt gefallen hat.

Miese Unterkunft für CHF 380 pro Nacht
Wir sind um 15.30 im Hotel angekommen. Die Receptionistin telefonierte vor uns und Deutschen Gästen folgendermassen: "hey isch s Zimmer 121 scho fertig, hä?!" und dann gleich ein zweites Mal dasselbe. Die Antwort war dann logisch: " Tuet mir leid, s Zimmer isch nonig fertig." Kein Problem, wir wollten ja noch ins Dorf. Allerdings bekamen wir keinerlei Hinweise auf Annehmlichkeiten des Hotels. Kein Wellness, kein Restaurant - nichts. Das Zimmer schlussendlich sehr alt, aber wenigstens mit sehr sauberer Bettwäsche. Das Bad hingegen eine Zumutung für 380 Franken! Eine kaputte Kachel (Kacheln alle sehr alt) unter dem Badewannen Rand mit scharfer Kante. Der Duschgel Dosierer ist mir in die Wanne gefallen und das Bad überhaupt schlicht ein NO GO!

Der Empfang im Hotel war sehr freundlich. Beim Eintritt ins Doppelzimmer negativ überrascht von der Grösse und der veralteten Ausstattung. Sehr kleines Bad und duschen konnte man nur, wenn man sich bückte (Duschschlauch in Badewanne war viel zu klein). Der Schlauch wurde nach Intervention sofort ausgestauscht. Ansonsten schöne Restaurants und einen tollen Wellnessbereich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut. Es hatte für jeden etwas dabei.
