We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is great and close to almost everything. Our room was on a quiet side of the building and we had absolutely no noise at night, which was perfect for resting. The staff were polite, kind, and very helpful. The breakfast could be a bit better, but overall we had a good experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

The stay was generally okay, but there was always a “but.” For example: a nice TV, but no signal; Wi-Fi available, but the password didn’t work (and once the staff entered the correct one, the signal was very weak); a pleasant terrace, but overlooking the indoor breakfast patio; a marble bathroom, but with a cheap plastic shampoo dispenser. Breakfast was free, but no espresso was offered, the orange juice jug was constantly empty, and there were no hot options.
The one aspect I was truly happy with was the staff—their warm attitude and helpfulness stood out and made the experience much better.

Quiet property within walking distance to Taksim Square and Galata Tower. Room was comfy and staff with the exception of the grumpy man at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. Buffet breakfast was average and this was the only hotel we stayed at in all of Turkey that did not provide bottled water in the room.

Property shows a picture of a restaurant but they do not have one; however food smell from the breakfast room reached my room (on the 6th floor) every morning, the breakfast room is small and shared with office staff walking back and forth. The smell from cigarette smoke was evident in the elevator landing area on the 6th floor. Property did not disclose that the property was not accessible by car (the entire street was dug up without sidewalks): my taxi had to stop about a block away. Carrying suitcase under the rain after a long flight is not fun. Why don't they disclose this?
Rooms are not insulated for noise: I could clearly hear my neighbors conversation and TV from my room...
They changed bed linens on the 5th night of my 6 nights, the room floor was never swept or vacuumed (the mud brought in by my suitcase wheels was on the room floor during all days of my stay).
Shower door is a heavy folding glass: it takes a lot of energy to open and to close it, a frail person would not be able to open/close the shower door

We booked the executive room with balcony. The balcony was inside the building, a wall was blocking it. No sun light at all and no fresh air. It felt like a grave.
The room floor was never washed, we noticed a woman hair on the floor and after 3 nights it was still there although every morning the cleaning staff visited the room.
The staff was helpful. The breakfast was good.

Despite Cleanliness and location, I will not visit

FOA when I checked in they gave me a room in the 7th floor while the lift only goes to 6th, and I had to go through the very narrow emergency-like stairs although I told them that I have my 7 month old baby with me and it is difficult to carry him in these narrow stairs, they told me that this is my room type and if I want to change I have to pay more, while my brother in law has been there in the same room rate and type and they gave him the same room but in different level.
One day I left my room with no issues, when I came back at night, the glass-door of the bath was complete broken and I asked them to move me to another room, they told me that they don’t have, then I asked them to clean the floor from the glass, a guy started cleaning it and suddenly when down with no back! I called the receptionist he said that the guy left the hotel as his shift is finished and he told him that he finished cleaning, I told him that the bath floor is still full of glass and how can we take shower in this way, then the receptionist came to room and finished cleaning.

The hotel is very clean and it’s location is marvellous I confess, but the staff are so unprofessional and not lovely (except the receptionist with the green eyes who always stay in overnight shifts)

Great small hotel - hope it sticks around.

Maroon Pera is in a perfect location for a fun filled visit to Istanbul. The staff are all helpful, though there are not a lot who speak serviceable English. It showed some minor signs of neglect which made me wonder why they hadnt had the repair men in to fix things - curtain which was supposed to open and close on electric runner did not work, so they unhooked the first hook on the curtain and just left it hanging unconnected so the curtains could be pulled manually. The bedside lights and mirror overhead lights in bathroom did not work. TV internet didn't work but room WiFi was fine. Made me wonder if the hotel was struggling. However everything else was perfect, good A/C, good bathroom, great shower and great bed and linen. We had a balcony which was great to sit in the evening and early morning . Breakfast was good and changed (we were there 5 nights) -though coffee was not so great.

It states non-smoking room with a balcony for guests to smoke! This will never work anywhere because smokers dont care and dont abide by rules relating to their comfort zones. There was burnt cigarette marks on chair inside but worst of all is the stale smell that stays in the room / curtains etc which is disgusting for people who hate smoking. Bedding was dirty too which they changed straight away. The staff however were very accommodating and helpful and the stay was pleasant as you dont spend much time in the room besides sleeping. Amazing, really friendly staff who went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The location was better than i could have hoped for right in the heart of istiklal street but slightly away from the main strip so quite too if you are after a good night sleep. The hotel itself was really clean and provided good services. The breakfast variety was great, however the quality of hot food was lacking compared to other hotels.
Overall I highly recommend the hotel and i would definitely stay here again!

When I checked in the man at reception insisted that one of his bellboys go up to my room with me, even though I told him several times I didn't need any help. I carried my own bag and opened the door myself. It's a minor thing, but I found it strange and annoying, especially since it's a small hotel and the room was very easy to find right next to the elevator.

My main issue with this hotel was the room which had zero natural light. The entire window faced a wall and every morning I woke up in the dark. If you are someone who like natural lighting, do not stay here.

Good hotel for what you pay HOWEVER*
The hotel states 24hour check in but when you go to the fromt desk they refused to let me check in before 12pm even when my room was ready so i was forced to purchase an extra night, not a great start to my holiday!
The rooms are far smaller than advertised there is no room bigger than 15sqm i measured this as i was made to believe i was staying in a 30sqm room. Breakfast was very nice though limited. The beds and all beds i should say i very very creeky you can hear the creeks from other rooms as well as your own.

Otel konum olarak çok güzel bir yerde, fakat özellikle balkonlu oda olması için için \"Executive Oda, Balkon\" tercihi yaptık çünkü iki bayan olarak geldik. Diğer arkadaşımın Klostrofobi si bulunmakta idi. Evet balkon var ama balkon ile alakası yoktu. Sadece süslenmiş bir boşluk. İki ayrı yatak olsun istedik o da yokmuş. Onun dışında istiklal cad. tam göbeği diyebilirim.

Fue la experiencia mas subrealista que hemos tenido, parecía que estábamos durmiendo en un edificio en ruinas, todo se cae. El perchero del cuardaropa se cae, la puerta del baño nose puede cerra, la cama parecía se iba a caer. Es la peor estafa que hemos experimentado en Estambul. Uno de los recepcionistas parecía que estaba enojado siempre, daba ideo preguntarle algo. Debería de ser más amable o por lo menos sonreír. El hotel no lo recomendaría a nadie lo siento.

Fiyat 45-50 € olarda olsaydi cok iyi derdim, ama 90 € odaya öderseniz, daha yüksek kalite bekliyorsunuz.

Otelin yeri cok iyidi, kahvaltisi bence fiyata göre yetersizdi.

Sehr zentral - zuuu laut - keine Sekunde Ruhe

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, dadurch ist ein sehr hoher Verkehrsaufkommen.
Sogar bis in die frühen Morgenstunden hören Die laute Musik, Hupen, krankenwagen und polizeisirenen.
In den 4 Nächten die wir dort übernachtet haben, haben wir keine einzige Nacht geschlafen.
Das Personal war jefoch sehr nett, die Zimmer sauber.

Wir sind nach einem Auszug aus einem anderen Hotel im Maroon Hotel Pera gelandet. So wurde uns der Aufenthalt in Istanbul doch noch versüßt. Sauberkeit, Freundlichkeit alles rundum zufriedenstellend. Ich würde dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Hepsini geçtim oda balkonlu diye tercih etmiştim. Fotoğraflarda çiçekler görünüyordu meğersem bir duvar üzerine asılmış çiçeklermiş yani balkon duvara bakıyor ve duvara çiçek asılmış ve adına nasıl balkonlu oda yazarlar aklım almıyor. Kahvaltısı da çok çok zayıftı. Mutlaka yazmam gereken diğer durum HES kodumuza bakmadan bizi aldılar. Oteli kesinlikle gerekli yerlere şikayet edeceğim hiç memnun kalmadım.

Otelin temziliği,yatağın rahatlığı, günlük oda bakımı, personelin güler yüzlülüğü , konumu,sabah kahvaltısı memnun olduğum bir konaklama oldu.Sadece arkaya bakan odaların fiyatı bir tık daha uygun olmalı, çünkü hiç güneş ışığı gelmiyor,ona rağmen hoş bir duvarda mini bir bahçe yapılmış
