The room is huge and very homey, we stayed on the third floor (walkup, no lift) and got the unit with a balcony overlooking Istiklal Street. There is a good division of space within the room, with plenty of lighting for different moods. This hotel has an excellent location. It's right in the middle of Istiklal Street, which is convenient for shopping. Perpendicular to this main street is lots of smaller lanes with many handicrafts and artists working in smaller studios making jewelry, woodcraft and ceramics. It's also full of highly-rated restaurants and bars (not on the main street though), and even a heavy metal bar if that's what you're into. Despite being right in the thick of things, the room is not noisy. The windows are sound-proofed, so you only hear things if the door is open. Overall a very comfy stay.

The room is spacious and has all the things you need. However, it is on the Istiklal Street, facing the street and it is quite noisy. I booked a room with a balcony on expedia, however there was no room with balcony was available which was disappointing and I was given the room number 200 which ia on the first floor right at the entrance. There was a noise of water drainage coming from the aircon and pipes. Couldn't sleep well all night! The bed is massive, yet it was not comfortable :( The room waa dirty as well, the shower had a rusty bits. Overall, it was okay.

Great location. Loved our stay. There are several dining options at walking distance as well as shopping. Metro, tunnel, and tram are at walking distance too.

Since the building is old, there is no elevator. If your room is at top most level , and if you do not prefer stairs , this place isn’t for you.

Air conditioner doesn’t work well in the main room, and non functioning at all on the second bedroom (staff making bad jokes of the situation).
We also had an energy shortage in the area. Our room was very noisy because of the restaurants and bars downstairs and a construction near in the morning.
Also our suite was not in the main building so we had to walk outside to reach it.

Great location and wonderful staff! However, the property could use some updates. Specifically, the showers and entrance door need repair (the door can be quite noisy). Additionally, some of the cookware seemed a bit outdated. Despite these issues, the positives outweighed the negatives, and we'd probably stay here again.

We traveled as a group of five friends and had an incredible time. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the middle of lively İstiklal Street. If you’re looking for a calm, quiet area, this might not be for you. But if you’re a tourist wanting to soak in the vibrant day and night atmosphere, this is the ideal spot. It felt safe and full of energy at all hours.
Since we requested to stay together, our accommodation was in a separate building, which worked out perfectly for us. It couldn’t have been better! There was a cozy little café just downstairs where we had amazing breakfasts—something we’re still talking about.
The service was great and he was very helpful and informative. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience the real heartbeat of the city.

Location is great. Don’t expect to have good sleep as down stairs of this hotel is all restaurants and bars. You will hear loud party music daily until 2am in the morning, then city cleaning crews comes daily to clean street and makes their cleaning noise until early morning. With noise issue mosquitoes also a big problem at night. As soon. As you turn off your lights, you will hear mosquito noises and will bite marks in the morning.During our stay found live slug inside the bathroom cabinet. There were dust balls with hair all over room. Overall without location this hotel does not have any other pros to recommend. Receptionists in the morning were not friendly and keep asking to take their taxi services, even though you will get cheaper taxi on the street.

The staff were wonderful. However, be aware that there is now a club just below and to one side on the Istikal side of the hotel. Driving electronic dance music till 3:30-4 AM every night. The local police have been bribed to not enforce noise bylaws. We stayed 2 nights in a street facing room. No sleep possible until the club closed. Once in a back side room it was quiet. Only book back side!

The hotel was right on the busy shopping street, and my room had a cute little balcony overlooking this street. The decor was modern chic, and the bed very comfortable. Riza at the reception was helpful at check in, and loaned me a transportation card in response to my question as to where I can purchase one. Breakfast was just across the street in an alley cafe. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

I chose this location on Istiklal Street since it is close to many shops, and restaurant. Unfortunately, the taxi driver dropped me in an awkward location where I had to log my luggage and climb, several steps to get to the hotel. Great place to stay for a short vacation. Just make sure that you are dropped in area that is walkable to the hotel.
The staff are very helpful. The entrance is tiny, but they would help you carry your luggage upstairs.

However, the coffee maker could have been cleaner, rest everything was fine.

Perfect place to stay in Istiklal

We had an organization in Istiklal Street therefore Magnova had the best location for us. It is also near to all famous places.
All the staff in reception were so kind and helpful. Thanks to all of them.
The design of the room was so nice, we liked it a lot. The size of the bed was huge, and it was so comfortable.
The small balcony had a nice view of the street.
The only problem with the location was the noise. It is not related with Magnova, because Istiklal is a 7/24 living street.
We liked the energy of the staff, the room, and the wonderful Istiklal.
Magnova will be definitely our choice again in our next visit.

We arrived around midnight and were notified there was an issue with our online booking and the hotel did not have a room ready for us! but they amazingly looked after us by taking us to another Magnova hotel closer to Taksim square wherein we stayed for one week. Great location and awesome staff. Highly recommended. Emre, Yasmina and Metin went above and beyond so we could have a wonderful stay in Istanbul. Thanks for everything guys!

The property is in the middle of everything. Great shops and restaurants. The decor and quality of the room is very nice as was the staff. The room albeit small was cute and loft like. The only problem that we encountered is that there is a nightclub close by that played very very loud music until 4am. We booked the balcony room,#204 that faces the street. We got no sleep the first night, a Wednesday. The following evening the same thing so I had them move us to a room on the back side of the building. You could still hear the music but we were finally able to get some rest. I asked regarding a refund or a discount but the gentleman at the desk said he couldn’t because the music is not a fault of the hotel. I didn’t really find that an acceptable response. I told him that no where in the reviews or information does it say anything about the very loud music or the night club across the street. I’m honestly not one to complain, but as I said, it was impossible to sleep, even with ear plugs. There was also a bit of a debacle with being picked up at the airport, even though I made the arrangements way in advance.

Our initial experience with this hotel was positive. The receptionist was polite, and the check-in process was fast. However, a significant drawback was the absence of an elevator. The room was clean, and the view of Istiklal Street was nice.

Our unpleasant encounter occurred during checkout with a rude staff member. When we attempted to have the included breakfast before departure, the receptionist questioned its inclusion. In my mother's language (Farsi), he accused me of lying. Frustrated, I showed him my booking information confirming breakfast, to which he responded by claiming it was a joke.

The hotel's restaurant was external, requiring a short walk to a nearby café. The staff there, influenced by the hotel receptionist, limited our breakfast, implying they were monitoring expenses. They even suggested extra charges for sandwiches, creating an uncomfortable situation. I won't return to this hotel and don't recommend it to others.

The apartment is right on Istiklal with open roof restaurants below and hustle bustle of crowd, amazing vibe. The only issue was taking the bags around as there is no vehicles allowed in that street however owner MrNazar was helpful to take it up and down the stairs and arranged transfers in vip vehicle.

Our stay at Magnova Studios in Istanbul was truly memorable. The hotel's location couldn't be better – nestled in the heart of the city, it's surrounded by a wealth of restaurants and shopping stores.

Upon entering our room, we were immediately struck by the fantastic interior design. The blend of modern comfort and traditional aesthetics created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The highlight, however, were the beautiful balconies that offered stunning views of the city.

What truly set Magnova Studios apart was their exceptional staff. They not only helped secure reservations at the elusive Ruby's restaurant, a true culinary gem, but they also went the extra mile to assist us in finding flowers for my partner, adding a special touch to our stay.

One thing to note is that Magnova Studios, being a converted old church building, does not have an elevator. While it might pose a slight inconvenience, it didn't bother us much and added to the hotel's unique charm.

Overall, Magnova Studios is a hidden gem in Istanbul. Its excellent location, fantastic interior, beautiful balconies, and the dedication of its staff make it a top choice for a memorable stay in this vibrant city.

Excellent and friendly service.
Beautiful room, but as other reviewers have already mentioned. Thin uninsulated windows, and a room where the air conditioner couldn’t be used for cooling as they claimed other guests wanted heating, so they had switched the main AC down in the lobby to warm. With the door open it was LOUD. All night. I slept 🛌 n the mornings mostly as it was an almost impossible task to fall asleep with music, drumming and singing in the street outside.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the location being in the middle of the Main Street with cozy little side streets and alleys full of cafes and restaurants.

I am completely at a loss for why this property has high ratings.
For starters, there is no elevator and lots of stairs so travellers may want to pack light and bring comfortable shoes.
The pictures must have been taken when the hotel first opened and not a true reflection of the hotel's current state. The place is very much run down and it is clear that the owner is taking shortcuts rather than putting money into upgrades and maintenance. Some examples:
1. Bedsheet covers have holes in them. Yes, multiple holes of various sizes and these sheets are still being used for guests.
2. The kitchenette has some type of internal leak so there is a perpetual mould smell that permeates the room.
3. There is also some type of intense mould smell coming from the shower which indicates an internal leak as well. Not surprising considering how many cracks can be found along the shower cabin.
4. Magnova claims to be a smoke-free hotel however they are not at all. Rooms are equipped with an ashtray and when guests smoke, the hotel does not do anything about the smoke.
Further, because the hotel is poorly sealed, the smells and smoke go straight through the walls to the point of which your room will have a smoky haze when your neighbour is smoking.

The saving grace of this property is Umesh, the concierge who went above and beyond to make the stay bearable. Umesh, if you are reading this, thank you! To those considering this property, consider this review carefully before booking!

The room was good but it was in a different building not located on the İstiklal street which it was not written while I was buying it. It was close to the street but it was not in the main hotel building. The street was really very very noisy,and probably the isolation of the room was not good, so it was not easy to sleep until 3-4 am !!

Our room was on the second floor facing the Main Street. Besides the smaller toilet and see through shower with curtains ( works well for couple ), this place is a gem. Excellent location, amazing staffs, cleanliness, efficient room service, close to nice restaurants (our favourite was Mado ), shops, bars .. you name it.
This boutique hotel is Located on Ishtiklal Street, Which is the main tourist Street ( for pedestrians only ) which goes everywhere. Nearest famous and a major transportation hub is Taksim Square which is about 10 mins walk and offers buses to and from the airport.
If you can tolerate a little noise and crowds, this place offers :
Best value for the money. Bon Voyage !!

Fantastic Boutique Hotel perfect for weekend away

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location. Everyone was friendly and helpful but in the most genuine way not just because its their job to be. The rooms are great! Exactly like in the photos on their website. Spacious and well kitted out with a mini kitchen area, all decorated to showcase the buildings beautiful features whilst remaining modern. Even though it is right on the main street we were not disturbed by noise. If you are not a fan of stairs request to be on one of the lower floors, we were on the top floor and it is quite a hike! However our cases and bags were brought to our room for us and there was soneone there to help us down with them even though we checked out at 6am. The stairs were not a problem for us but its worth bearing in mind. Overall this is a fabulous place and we will definately stay here the next time we come to Istanbul, we loved it!

Excellent hôtel, très bien situé, propre et confortable, avec un personnel accueillant.
Seul bémol, le petit-déjeuner est servi dans un café partenaire en face de l’hôtel, et le service y est vraiment décevant, accueil désagréable, aucun choix, pas de boissons chaudes ni froides, même pas d’eau pour les enfants.
C’est dommage, car tout le reste était parfait !

Unique, small hotel on an excellent location. Not easy to find, but one telephone call was enough for the staff to pick us up. Kind service and a good breakfast in a small restaurant opposite the hotel.
Not recommended for people with mobility problems: 4 floors, no elevator.
Fly screen for the windows would recommended.
