The hotel was right near the busy shopping street, which made it perfect for us. It’s walking distance from the Galata Tower and has lots of transportation options. Food options were plentiful and if you are in Istanbul for the night life it’s one of the places to be. I stayed Wednesday through to Friday, the first night was quiet no noise from the street. But Thursday heading to the weekend was very noisy sound like a birthday party was happening under our bedroom window until 3am, so bear that in mind if you wanted a quiet stay. Also I booked the breakfast included options and the view of the city was amazing from there. All in all I would book again but mid week though.

This property is very unique that being said anyone from the United States needs to be mindful of where you are going and that you need to travel with an open mind everything will be different plug ins, hotels are like buildings in New York thin 7 to 10 floors weird corridors but they are gorgeously done. They we're absolutely incredibly accommodating and service was excellent. Be mindful this hotel is a 45 minute ride from the main Instanbul airport and there is a cost for transfer service. Once your in this area of Instanbul you have access to everything you could possibly imagine, want, or need and the choices for food are endless that is a fact!! However, down side if your not a night owl is the city is non stop from 7a to 3a so very loud at night. The hotel didn't have A/C so room was very warm unless patio door was open this didnt bother me much but could be an issue for others. Over all I had an amazing stay and trip!!

The worst experience staying here .. I got the shock of my life after thinking this was a normal hotel .. I was put in an awful room dirty and old on the first floor above the pub beer garden with music and a band playing loud music until 2am .. staff were helpful I must say that .. but hotel is run down ..

So, so overall but so not 4 stars

Definitely not what I would expect from a four star hotel. The elevator is oddly calibrated so that it is necessary to take the stairs a partial flight twice on either end of each entrance and exit. The annex (where my room was) has low ceilings and the awkward stairs through what looks like an unfinished stairwell. That said, reception did send an electric heater to my room after I complained about how cold the room was the first night.

It was a great stay there! Really, exceeded expectations. It was quiet in the room as our window looked into the inner yard. Breakfasts were tasty and fresh and served on the top floor with views which made breakfasts even more pleasant.

Staff were great. All the ladies working in the kitchen and dining room area were amazingly nice and welcoming, especially Rasha and Betul. There are plenty of choices in the breakfast section. The location was fantastic, it was 2 minutes walk to Istiklal Cadesi, where you find numerous restaurants and shops. If you’re not a fan of crowds and busy locations, this hotel might not be suitable for you. Our window was right above a busy street with many bars and restaurants which would stay open until throughout the night and playing music. However, for us this was a plus since we enjoyed the vibe even when inside our room.
The negative point was that during our 8 days stay, the room was never vaccumed although we would leave it for cleaning. Only the towels were changed and beds were made. The last day of our stay, the room was super dirty and needed a good cleaning, but we couldn’t imagine staying there for another night! It would be great if the hotel consider doing a deep cleaning for guests who stay more than 3-4 days.

The best part of this hotel is the very obliging Staff.
The young man with a suit on at the reception, the Yemen lady with hijab, the one who makes lovely omelette whilst you wait and other ladies at the breakfast room.
Breakfast Is extensive and fresh.

Issues I did reserve six nights room size 3 29 ft.² when I arrived Reception or Mr. Hussein squeeze me in a room 29 ft.² I did complain about the TV not working about the room smell bad. I told him this is not what I reserve on Expedia, he mentioned to me the hotel is full I told him not that what I reserve even I spoke to Expedia the contact the office at Pera Hill today later I spoke to Mr. Yousuf. Receptioner he was great man right away. He did satisfied me with what I did reserve at Expedia. I had the right room working TV very clean room again thanks for Mr. Yousuf

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay immensely, and we'd both happily recommend your hotel to anyone who is looking for temporary accommodation in the centre of Istanbul, which for me is one of the most amazing cities in the world (I am Norwegian, I've been three times, and I look forward to returning again). Friendly staff, superb breakfast in idyllic circumstances on the rooftop, and fine rooms with large bathroom facilities - what more could one want, especially as the location, right off Istiklal, is second to none? We'd gladly return to The Pera Hill.

The hotel is within a few meters away from the British Consulate and 5 mins walk away from Istiklal Street and about 15 mins walk away from Taksim Station.
There are a variety of food options within 5-15 mins walk depending on what you fancy.
Despite being a vegeterian and a fussy eater, I was very happy with the options which was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel.
The staff were nice but the facilities were not the cleanest. Our rooms were on 1st floor and both rooms stank of smoke. The pub downstairs was noisy too and the traffic noise and loud music from the chapel pub/club went till 1am or more every night desipte not being weekend.
Special mention for the cleaning ladies who were really nice and courteous.

There's also a little corner shop withing a few meters.

The indian restaurants around the hotel are actually Pakistani restaurants which we figured later. So perhaps they might offer good options if you are non vegetarian.
My favourite places:
1) Safa: For Baklavas specially Soguk baklava.
2) The Himalayan Restaurant: Nepalese restaurant for amazing vegetarian options like Momos, Dal roti etc.
3) Falafel House: Great falafels.
4) Any clean vendor: Freshly squeezed orange juice.

Well, I’ve checked the reviews and found so many positive comments on it, so, I actually made my booking on the same day of arrival, although the check in was super easy and quick. Very friendly staff. Great location in which is near to bus station and definitely istiklal street. Clean rooms. The breakfast was at the 8th floor and the view was great. Variety of food was great as well. Also, the staff who were at the breakfast were super helpful and friendly, especially Rasha (from Yemen), Claudia (from Lebanon) and Khadijah (from Asia). I loved the diverse culture of employees and would like definitely to thank Aukan (hopefully I am writing the name correctly) who helped us with the room (he is Turkish). Overall, I loved my stay there and would definitely come again. Good value for money.

I stayed in this hotel with my friend for 3 nights. The location is the top point of this hotel, from here you can easily reach the most beautiful areas! Breakfast good but could improve with some more variety. The view of Istanbul from the eighth floor of the breakfast room is 10/10! Very kind and attentive staff and above all available for any questions. My friend has already booked for her next stay at this property with her family.

This is a terrible place to stay. It was horribly hot and the AC wasn't working, even when we repeatedly complained, nothing was done. We had booked 4 rooms, it was the same in all the rooms. The bathroom wasn't working. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Make yourself a favor and stay out of this horrible hotel. The staff in the front desk seems nice till you have a problem.
We took 3 rooms for a family holiday and in the bar of the hotel they party till 3am!!! The noise was too much and got worse in each night after. The staff did nothing to help! I heard another guest complain about it in the 3rd day of my stay and they acted surprised like they never heard of this complaint before.
They didn’t want to cancel our stay and wouldn’t allow it.
Find yourself a better place to stay.

Highly recommend this hotel, the staff are extremely helpful, polite and well mannered. Even though the hotel is positioned in quite a busy area with a bar below noise is minimal within the hotel itself. We booked a double room and upon arrival were upgraded to a larger more spacious room, quite generous. The room we stayed in was very well decorated also thoroughly clean. Breakfast is served on a roof terrace which has a large seating area the food is of a high quality with a good choice. Some improvements could be made in the lighting upon the stairs leading to the roof terrace it is rather dark. Overall I shall definitely be revisiting this hotel well worth it.

My room faced a wall making the room feel as a prison. Size was tiny and hardly any space to walk around the room. Below the room was a cafe which was noisy till early hours of the morning making it impossible to sleep. Additionally, you could hear every guest who closed their room door due to loud bang !
If you want to sleep choose somewhere else !!

This is not even one star hotel, spider web everywhere in the room, very bad smell came from everywhere, broken bathroom, air condition can not go below 27 Celsius degree!! Min bar is empty, there is not even water, there is no truth basket in the room, the sheets are extremely dirty!!breakfast is included but better is not to be!! A very ad taste juice, I had to clean the table myself, cats everywhere, I had to wait 15 minutes to get a fork and knife!!The works experience ever!

I booked the hotel for 17 days for my family , after they reached the hotel they found it to be as a motel and not matching with the pictures, furthermore, the breakfast was very limited and doesnt look as fancy and good as the pictures, mostly cheese only ... but they accepted to stay because they were out most of the day ... but after a week of staying , some drunk residents in the hotel started banging on their room door and trying to open the room ( they were just three ladies in the room ) so it was a terrifying experience and they had to leave after the hotel refunded the rest of the stay and apologized .. but they didnt feel safe to stay anymore.

Hotels.com said it had a bath tub, but it didn't. Perhaps I was put in a larger room without one — I arrived late at night and didn't ask/complain. But the shower is good (tho I was afraid it would overflow, it didn't). There was a lot of construction immediately in front of the building (they're tearing up the road), but if you're just there at night this shouldn't be a problem. The view from breakfast was great and I had a little view from the room if you stood in the right place... But the bed was comfortable and the staff very nice.

Charming hotel, classy design, clean and comfortable. Breakfast venue on the top floor gives spectacular views over the Golden Horn.
The single room is a bit small, but the big bathroom compensates somehow.
The hotel offers free parking, but unless I fought for a spot in the too narrow and busy street with crazy neverending traffic - I have no idea how I could take advantage of it.
May be in case you need a parking, you should call the reception so that they wait for you and help you with the car. Otherwise you just block the busy street or you are just lost.

Staff were very helpful but attention to detail is missing first night the towel was old and ripped all around the edges was so shocked by this. The safe wasn’t working but I didn’t ask to fix it as this should have been checked -attention to detail. You can hear the cars, windows are not sealed properly. No room service but they do offer to get something delivered from near by restaurant, only breakfast is done at the hotel. They room it self was new they seem to be updating the rooms and decor as works were going on during my stay. The AC seems to have a timer as it keeps shutting on and off. Overall if you are looking to save money and have a clean stay would recommend.

Great hotel in a rather Bohemian locale.
We had 5 , so they did a good job with the suite linking essentially 2 rooms.
The great thing was each had it's own toilets.
All in all a 4.5/5 in my book down side perhaps the lack of understanding and knowledge of the front desk about airport logistics, and motivation.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and I have always enjoyed it! Rooms are modern, clean and well equipped, larger than most for Istanbul in general, staff is always very kind, considerate and helpful. The location is perfect, a quick stroll from Istiklal but with none of the noise, a stone's throw from the British Embassy... Taksim Square/metro/funicular is 1000 meters away up Istiklal (cable car for those who don't care to walk), and Sishane metro station and Tunel funicular station are 750 meters down Istiklal (cable car ride again for the less motivated)... Galata Tower is 1000 meters from hotel (250m from end of Istiklal cable car)...
Adjoining family room are very nice, as is the 8th floor buffet breakfast room with views over the city and bosphorus...
The surrounding neighboorhood has some fantastic restaurants and a mini bazaar with a supermarket and excellent gift shopping...
I will stay there again and again without hesitation, excellent value for the money!!

FAWLTY TOWERS ?

Just stayed at HPH for 4 nights as part of small group of 5 pax. The hotel is just a short walk from Istikal Street and just up the road from the Taxi control point (opposite the Marmara Hotel) for journeys towards the Beyazit/Sultanahmet side of town.

Really nothing too serious to find fault with but I keep thinking \"Fawlty Towers\". The staff were pleasant enough but had a poor grasp of English. Access to and from the lifts and certain of the rooms would definitely be challenging for people with mobility problems. The rooms were certainly adequate but for some strange reason only had one bed-side table. There were only 5 coathangers available and the mini-bar remained totally unstocked throughout our stay.There was a water cooler on the 8th floor (in the breakfast area) where bottles could be refilled but ....

The hotel’s location is great ,, and thats the only thing great about it .. not a comfortable bed .. no tv channels .. the room service is bad .. not a clean hotel .. no closets .. no iron machine .. no tissue paper .. no toilet paper .. no nothing .. bad experience ..
Not to forget that the breakfast is disgusting ..
Dont buy their breakfast .. w’ve been there the first day only and had our breakfast later outsie .:
This hotel can be recommended only for single boys .. not a couple hotel at all ..

Often the case but the hotel looked gorgeous online but in reality was dark small and run down. Plus noisy overnight as reception admitted that's the case especially on the weekends when entertainment nearby kicks on till 3am followed by tooting cars but I guess that's Taksim! Good location and ok otherwise.

Hotel with a strategic location

It was really great staying at this hotel... Its location was close to metro stations, tramways, and has an amazing view since it's on a hill. It wasn't hard for us to go anywhere and everything in it was perfect

Wir waren an einer Straße, wo es die ganze Nacht gehupt, geschrien und gesungen wurde. Als wären die Nächte kurz da sollte Mann nur hin wenn Mann nachts unterwegs und tagsüber schläft.

Værelset var meget lille og slidt samt begyndende skimmelsvamp i toppen af vinduerne, kedelig morgenmad. Og hvis man ønsker søvn om natten, så husk ørepropper. Meget larm hele tiden. Beliggenheden er helt perfekt og det eneste gode ved hotellet. Vi vender ikke tilbage igen!
