Best sleep EVER in this hotel. They had everything you could think of also. I travel a lot, and the bed and pillow were so comfortable i extended my stay by two nights. My mother and I slept like babies. I will return and would recommend this hotel to anyone. All the staff members were helpful as well and so kind.

The room was nice and big and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. The Metro stop is about a 10-15 minute walk, depending on how fast you walk and there are plenty of shops on the main road, including mini markets, a huge supermarket and restaurants. My only complaint was that the shower soap container was empty, but that's just a minor detain and a minor oversight by the hotel. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and I'd definitely stay here again.

Check in was a breeze. Staff are helpful and welcoming. Location is very good with a big supermarket 5 minutes away. There is also line 3 underground metro 8 minutes away which gives easy access to the whole city. The room is a bit small but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom is very clean and have all essentials. Would book again if I back in town.

The staff were fantastic! The hotel is not convenient to the sights of Milan. It’s about a 20 minute drive away from the city center. The hotel is older and the rooms are small. There is no AC, but you can open the windows fully. The bar and restaurant area is cute and very eco-friendly.

This property is certainly environmentally friendly. The restaurant looked like it had lots of options but it was closed the night we arrived so didnt try it. Breakfast was good! Hit or miss with staff. Some were friendly but others werent and neither were they helpful.
I am unable to comment about the area, convenience or walkability or Transportation.

Overall a nice stay....

Eco Milano seems to be in a very good location and it was helpful it was so close to the metro Affori subway. The breakfast was way above average, but the menu seems to never change. The room was VERY clean but rather small and the lighting was rather dark. Whoever stayed above us woke us up two days in a row the isolation from the ceiling was not too great, though we didn't hear almost any noise from the walls nor traffic noise. There is also a giant supermarket very close by which was a big plus. Overall it's a very nice hotel minus some noise from above and at least our room, was very tiny. Very comfortable beds btw. We had two twins. Friendly staff overall.

Really nice friendly hotel with great service. Property décor and amenities are dated and could do with a refresh to lift the place as it’s in a very convenient location for attending the F1 Italian GP at Monza Autodromo which is only 30 mins away via Uber/taxi.

Something that needs to be better communicated is the fact that each morning regardless of whether or not you’re checking out you’re called to get out your room to let housekeeping in to your room which doesn’t make for a relaxing stay especially if you’d like to sleep in. In addition the housekeeping team although great at their jobs are very loud in the early mornings when they start and without good soundproofing you are woken up by their chatter in the hallways. Another drawback related to the area is that the hotel is close to a church which has very loud bells that go off 2-3 per day - once early before 8am and again around lunchtime and in the late afternoon/early evening.

Overall I’d recommend the hotel if you’re looking for somewhere that is functional rather than fancy stay that also offers great value and friendly service from a team who were brilliant at making every guest feel welcome.

The hotel itself is nice with nice amenities. The staff was nice as well. The location is just a bit inconvenient if you want to see the shopping district sites Milan is famous for. The neighborhood was pretty run down as well. There was a lot of noise coming from the park until late and when we changed rooms we could hear people walking past to the parking lot. Other than that, the staff was top notch and did everything in their power that was humanly possible to accommodate me and my disabled mother.

We were placed in the building next to them which we did see but they failed to mention that it’s an apartment building. It was a random room put with people who lived there. That doesn’t seem safe as we don’t know people from the city. The building is old, dirty and musty smell. There is flys and mosquitoes everywhere so bring repellent. Yes it’s cheap but you definitely get what you pay for no doubt. I let them know I did not feel safe being in that building and they didn’t offer to move me rooms and refused a refund. Make sure you do your research on google maps as well to check out the neighborhood this hotel in is. Wouldn’t book again!!!

Don’t be deceived - not eco-friendly

This is supposed to be an eco-friendly hotel. Yes, they have furniture made from cardboard and use recycled paper in the bathroom and restaurant. But I found it odd that they use the tiny bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Any these the tiny bottles that are killing wildlife in the seas? California has recently banned these tiny bottles. I was shocked that a eco-friendly hotel would have them.

Mediocre and boring, to say the least...

The good things I can say about this hotel, finish with the service and the cleanness. Not that this is not important, but in this case it's too little. The area around doesn't impress with anything, even though you are only 5 metro stops from the centre, but I guess they are in the wrong direction... Some noisy boulevards around, badly maintained sideways of the street going to the hotel, nothing impressive in the room size, furnishing, bed, bathroom or whatever else you can think of. Ah, the wifi's good - maybe that's one positive point. All in all - for one transit night before your flight it's OK, for more I would definitely look for something else. BTW, the eco- motive for me is pure PR. I didn't see anything eco, except old \"energy-saving\" bulbs, not even LED. Ah, and some expensive menu items in the restaurant.

A Pleasant Hop, skip, and a Jump to Milan.

EcoHotel at Residenza was a perfect hotel for us run by a professional group of family members who all new much about the area! It was a 5 min. walk to the Metro station across a lovely park. We were able to get straight into town. The staff at the hotel were friendly, professional, and helpful. Breakfasts were fresh, and there was always plenty of food. We liked the fact that it was ecologically great. We would definitely stay again and found it compared very favorably to the prices in the center of Milan.

Just don’t book this place.

This was, by far, the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. There were many unfortunate events happening but what really made the whole thing a nightmare was how incredibly unhelpful the staff at this place are. They are rude, and quite honestly, they don’t care about their costumers. Never again and please, if you, the reader of this are thinking about booking this place, be prepared to be extremely disappointed and no one wanting to help you. Among others, you can expect:
- Location far away from everything. If you can’t take transit, be ready to spend 25 euro each way to get to the city center.
- The rooms are so tiny, you can’t move your suitcase from one point to the other.
- The breakfast is laughable. Ham, cheese and bread only. It is not good.
- Despite being 25 degrees outside, you will not be able to turn the ac on, because “it is not the season”
- Dinner is served between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm only. You can’t order food outside of this period.
- The food is not good at all.
This place really was a nightmare and I just hope that this will help future travelers to make better choices. There are plenty better hotels in Milan and this one, quite honestly, shouldn’t even be in this portal. It has definitely made me question hotels.com too.

Quite Neighborhood, Helpful, Friendly Staff.

Warm and friendly staff, helped us out with our room, took a shower as soon as we got in and the shower curtain fell off the wall. I notice something on the wall (I thought it was a nest of some kind, but because of lack of sleep from the plane, it turned out to be part of the wall) the front desk gave us another room. It was very hot in the rooms, they did have air conditioning but it does not work during this time of the year. Americans from curtains parts of the country (WI) are used to it being cooler and so the rooms were very hot for us. Not their fault. Mother Nature. We needed to get transportation to the airport one day very early before the Metro started up, they made plans for us with a taxi (not a bad price for that time of the day) Made us coffee a few mornings \"very\" early, and gave us crescents and juice. Made us feel at home. If you do get the chance to have their breakfast that is included in their price it was very nice and did last for a nice period of time. Nice location close to a Metro line and a very nice grocery store and some local shops. Took about a half hour to get to most big attractions from the Metro. Nice little park across the street from the hotel, it was nice to see families taking their children out to play every night.

Nice welcome from one of the girl at the reception: clear and kind, precise and thorough. Very cozy single room, but clean and tidy. Not so comfortable the bed, but maybe it can be different for every single customer. Nice restaurant and good concept of kitchen, but the food was not so excellent. No explanation received from the reception staff about the charge (4 €) for the italian journey tax, despite the payment of 3.19 £ paid already in the reservation on Expedia about \"Taxes and Fee\".

We, a family of four, stayed one night at this hotel. At first I thought that due to the short time we were going to spend in Milan (just passing by, but willing to see around a bit), the hotel would be too far from the center. It turned out that the metro station was a short walk away (about 7 or 10 minutes on foot). We could reach the interesting places in short time. Just next to the hotel there is a nice and pretty park, and we loved to stroll though it when going to the metro station. The hotel is very nice, and we enjoyed very much the included breakfast in our plan. The price charged for our room was very fair. The staff is very friendly and helpful.If we had to visit Milan again, we would choose this property in the blink of an eye.

Ideal location for a quiet, comfortable 7-day stay

Room always smelled fresh (like baby powder!) as wooden floors were swept daily. Daily breakfast (7-10AM) was included & the spread was impressive: fruit, vegetables, cold cuts, cheese, various bread, beverages, & even dessert; ALL organic. Hotel restaurant (open for lunch & dinner only) is also organic; voucher provided at check-in offers 10% discount plus a 50% discount to the room's minibar, which is the best deal I've ever heard for one: 5 euros (instead of 10) for 5 drinks [a can of Fanta, can of Coca-Cola, bottle of water, bottle of sparkling water, & small bottle of organic prosecco], which can be replenished as many times during your stay as you'd like for an additional 5 euros each time! I lucked out w/ a room that faced the back of the hotel & on Floor 2, so it was relatively quiet except for when the kids' soccer teams practiced after school until around 7:30 during the week; walls are relatively thin however, so I did hear a neighbor cough one night! Bathroom was surprisingly big for my small single room, & I loved how the sliding door shower was a curtain door instead of glass! I appreciated the hotel's emphasis on being eco-friendly, from their products (smelled great!) to their food to the use of electricity. Area is residential but only a 6-min. walk through Parco delle Favole (pictured) to the M3 Metro - 20 mins. into the city/train stations, an hour to Malpensa by train - made it so easy to get around, & safe too, which was important since I traveled alone!

Very nice hotel and really great people working there. One day I got down late and missed breakfast but they still got me a croissant. Everyone was so nice even though my Italian was very bad. I would highly recommend the place just because of the staff and the price. The only downside I had is that I like to sleep in a very cool room and the air conditioner didn't ever really work right for me.

Had a nice stay. Front desk was English speaking, friendly and helpful. Hotel is some distance from heart of Milan, but it's an easy walk to bus stop or Metro subway station - which will take you anywhere. Nice neighborhood park for kids next to hotel. Room was reasonably comfortable. Bed was a bit on the hard side for me. Excellent breakfast buffet. If you wanted to use minibar, there was a 5 Euro charge for it. But that includes 5 small bottles of liquid refreshments (water, coke, etc). Unlike other hotels that I've been booking in Italy, they required a 7 day advance notice to cancel. If you cancel beyond their window, they charge you for 1 day.

Hotel La Residenza is an outstanding hotel. It is small and the staff is able to give its guests personal attention. I was warmly greeted the moment I walked through the entrance. I arrived before check-in time and my room was being cleaned. I was invited to relax in the lobby area and I decided to re-charge my electronic devices. Upon realizing I brought the wrong converter, I checked with Jack at the front desk and he gladly lent one to me for my entire stay. The hotel is eco-friendly and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and bountiful. Finally, I like the fact that this hotel is located off the beaten path. It is not in the heart of the city but rather in a residential neighborhood next to a park and a walking/biking path, yet there were restaurants, markets, and a Metro station just a short walk away.

Great stay

Just 5 mins walk from the metro in a relatively quiet area. Helpful staff, great packed lunches and breakfast, rooms light and bright if a little small.

Horrible hotel, do not stay here.

Horrible hotel, staff is rude (with the exception of the elderly man who was at the front desk in the morning, the other 2 female staff members who were at the front desk in the evening were just plain rude). This hotel is in a remote location, far from the city center, not in a great neighborhood. There was a party going on all night long outside that kept us up all night. The rooms were cold, and there were only very thin sheets on the bed. When I requested an extra blanket (twice mind you), the blanket came about 20 or 25 minutes later. The bathroom smelled like urine. The food at the hotel's restaurant was not good at all - bland and expensive considering that it wasn't good food. I had booked a single room, but due to an unexpected flight cancellation, my mother had to stay with me. I knew European hotels have the absurd rule where they charge extra for another person, but this hotel charged me an extra 30 Euros PLUS all of the extra tax per person - that's quite expensive considering I didn't get a room upgrade, and we were still stuck in a tiny little 1 person room. We only got 1 bath towel to share between the 2 of us. The phone to call reception wasn't working, so every time I needed something, I had to go up and down flights of stairs to the front desk. For the rate this hotel charged us, I would not recommend that anyone stay at this hotel. Instead, opt for something in the Milan city center.

Pleasant retreat

We only stayed one night here as we were just passing through Milan. It is a bit out of the center (nine stops from the Duomo, five from Milano Centrale), but the metro commute is easy and fast and being away from the noisy bustle was lovely. We woke up to beautiful birdsong! The room was small and utilitarian but comfortable for a short stay. We were glad to feel that we we were part of an ecologically conscious movement. We enjoyed a delicious dinner on the patio. Breakfast offered an amazing array of (mostly organic) foods for all tastes.

Location is good, 5 minutes to the metro station and supermarket. The staff in general is very friendly. The room and shower cabin were really small and there is no iron in the whole hotel. You have to pay 5 eur to use the mini bar which makes no sense. The wi-fi signal was bad on the 3rd floor. The walls were very thin - you can hear all noises from other rooms. Breakfast had a good variety, but after 9 am almost everything is finished. The coffee machine was broken most of the time. We wouldn't stop again there.

Great start to the day with the included breakfast. Room is not a place you would plan to spend the day in, but you are in Milan so who would?
The place is clean, the front desk staff are accommodating and helpful and the food from the restaurant is fine.
The surrounding area may not be Milan's finest but you are in very easy walking distance to the metro that will get you anywhere you want to be.

Lovely though bigger than you'd think

Nothing wrong with the hotel - staff was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast abundant and fresh cappuccino on demand available :) On a sunny day (and with windows facing in the right direction), you will get the fantastic panorama of the Alps! Unfortunately, between the Alps and your hotel there is big loud road, which is likely to wake up before you are ready so ear-plugs for light sleepers are in order. Also the walls seem paper-thin and you will know your neighbours' bathroom routine and them coming in and out will not go unnoticed. But that's just the hotel's features that no one can do much about. Just come prepared. There is a bio restaurant as well, which I haven't tried but it did look nice. Oh, and you will get a free tour of old Milan on photos as the reception-breakfast room passageway is full of great pictures of older and newer Milan! All in all - an enjoyable stay!

Everything is okay except the toilet keeps leaking so I need to close the valve of cold water after using it.
