The property was ok. No air conditioning which we didn’t need at the time but visitors should know. Every day they left us coffee cups, and never replenished our coffee pods so not quite sure why they bothered to leave the cups on the coffee machine. As a morning lover, I did not like that at all.

Ok location for milan, very close to trams and metor which take you right into the city in 15 minutes.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty basic.

Service at check in was just ok. Was a large group in front of us, so we had to wait about 15 minutes.

the cable tv is available in italian only, while the one in lobby has English channel. The reception promise to have someone to adjust it, but he cannot do it and screw up lost all the channel. I have to reset it to factory default to get it work.

Hotel was perfect location for business needs but not a great area for the evenings, although Garibaldi is just a short taxi ride away. Room was spacious and clean but no air conditioning or fan. Staff were great, breakfast had plenty of choice and a good selection of beer and fresh tapas. Overall, a good hotel with good staff.

The hotel and staff were great. Very helpful with good advice for getting around. After a 35 minute walk to the hotel from Cetrale Station after getting bus from Malpensa airport the Barnan advised us about the metro so we purchased 48 metro tickets. Hotel only 5 minute walk from Machinici station which was a godsend for getting around. Duomo is on the same line and main shopping area near the Cathedral. San Siro one stop for change to Zara M2 (purple line) from Machianici before being last station on line. Couldn’t fault the hotel bar some hair next to the toilet in the room that hadn’t been cleaned properly but other than that would happily stay again. Cheap bar on site compared to everywhere else. Be aware 10 Euro taxes a day. Would recommend Milan as a weekend break and hotel highly. The Cathedral is beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay here, hotel is close to the Bahnhof and 10-15 minutes away from the old center with the public transport (which for you receive free travel pass throughout your stay from the hotel) and the bed is absolutely comfortable!

The staff were very welcoming and communucated well, telling us everything we needed to know when checking in. Close to the station - Lancetti. We had no problems. The restaurant was nice for breakfast, a lot of options and the ambience was lovely. Dinner was okay there, and not pricey, we was able to pay for evetything when leaving.

A very good hotel

This is an excellent hotel. The room we had was really very nice and spacious and best of all, was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was really very nice and worth every cent. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Most especially Sandro at reception who made sure all our comforts were catered for. If ever we go back to Milan, this is surely the place to stay for us.

Reception staff a joke, several problems.

Location average, 15 minutes walk to the nearest metro. Area average, quite rough with heavy traffic. Room spacious and comfortable but my door (64) was broken, I had to force entry with keycard and when I was inside I did not feel that the door was securely closed. This hotel will leave a small bag of crisps and a wafer in your room, it is NOT complimentary, they will charge you €6 (!!!). Anna at reception was told by me that breakfast was NOT required (extra €10), but when I checked out a Filippina at the desk tried to charge me extra for breakfasts I did not have. Other problem was housekeeping managers (NOT maids) making alot of noise in the corridor in the morning. On the upside, Italian guy at reception maybe Day Manager was helpful and professional, likewise the Food & Beverage Manager Elisabetta - both Italian. Take note.

No adequate heating in the rooms

Room was large and bed good, but it was really cold and when finally getting the heater working, it took hours before the room temperature was bearable. I used the extra quilt from the other bed to keep warm. I stayed 2 nights and the latter day the room service had taken the quilt out from the other bed leaving me with one quilt in cold room! During the day time when I was not in the room, the heating could not be let on! So take extra socks and warm pajamas! Breakfast was ok, but everything run out and the staff could not get items replaced soon enough, even coffee/tea facility was out of order for quite some time and had to ask the staff twice to get water connected in order to get morning tea! Parking at the garage was ok €12 / day.

We stayed here for two nights as it was relatively close to San Siro stadium. It's not the most interesting area, surrounding neighbourhood seems a bit sketchy. The service at the front desk needs to be improved, the staff was rude and incredibly unpleasant!! They did not take the time to help with questions. Ie. We asked for recommendations on where to eat lunch/dinner and were told there was not much around. Besides the staff, the overall comfort/quality of the room was good - the beds were comfortable and much larger than we typically found in Europe. There was a buffet breakfast each morning, which offered an assortment of options.

residential hotel used by tour bus companies

Used this hotel during a conference at the MICO center. Would take a hotel closer to a metro stop instead of this one. The rooms do have fan, but not one that cool effectively. Instead AC is better performed with opening the windows. This was for visit in May, I can not imagine how it would be during the warm season. The neighborhood is loud at night, so until after 2am or so, there is certainly city noise to interfere with sleep. The breakfast is fine, and is a nice assortment of baked goods and also eggs etc. The hotel is close to a bus stop, but about a 10min walk from a metro stop.

Terrible location/sparse decor

Very disappointed in the location of this hotel as it is not anywhere near Milano Centrale train station (over 30 minute walk with bags). Shuttle to airport would be over $100. Desk staff was not friendly. Rooms were sparse with carpeting that felt like rough fibers. Neighborhood is not particular safe either. Would not recommend to anyone who is not familiar with this location.

Rooms shown in the picture is what I booked... it showed beige interiors and I found orange when i checked in. When asked about it, I was told the room will be changed but didn't happen. When I came back at night I asked again and the girl at the reception was particularly rude... she asked me, \"so one thing you didn't like about your rooms means the whole hotel is bad?\" i was shocked to see such attitude. But the Sri Lankan executive Riccardo standing next to her was extremely courteous and nice. People like him is what is needed in hospitality!

Location fairly poor, not the greatest neighborhood, but it ended up being pretty ok, even late at night. The rooms are very comfortable, great value for money. Breakfast buffet nothing special, they offer plenty of choices, but nothing stood out. Staff was friendly, rooms very clean, beds comfortable. The view of the city from the top floors is great. Cab fare to the central station is about 11eur. Metro station, not THAT close as spoken of in other comments. If your shoes hurt, rather make a stop at Zara station and from take the bus 90/91 that will take you practically to across the street from the hotel in about 4 stops.

This hotel is NOT close to Porta Garibaldi station

I chose this hotel as I was passing through Milan and needed to catch a train from Porta Garibaldi station the next morning. The hotel is listed as being near Porta Garibaldi - it's not. My short walk and tram journey from the hotel to the station took almost an hour, and I'm not sure that a taxi would have been quicker, as the roads were very congested in the morning rush hour. In retrospect, a far easier and quicker option would have been to stay in a hotel close to Milano Centrale station, which is only 2 stops on the Metro to Porta Garibaldi.

The hotel is fine - staff were efficient if not super-friendly, and the breakfast spread was very impressive. There were some issues: my bedroom door wouldn't close until Reception told me I had to slam it as hard as I could. Another guest was mistakenly sent to my room shortly after I'd arrived. The bathroom smelled of damp shower curtain.

OK Hotel but NOT 4-Star

Hotel calls itself four-star but it most definitely is not. On the upside, rooms are large and reasonably clean (except we didn't like the first room they offered us because the bathroom had a smell). Breakfast buffet was okay. On the downside: the room was very spartan in furnishings. Only plastic water cups were provided. The night we arrived, there was no food available in the hotel. (Apparently, the bar/bistro was closed for a holiday. The next night, there was some food available, but the menu was extremely limited and somewhat overpriced.) Service was minimal: they had us put our own bags into the holding room, which wasn't locked, and no receipt was given. Luckily, nothing happened. The hotel is a long walk from the metro, although not so far from a bus line or tram line. It's on an odd block, mostly commercial and somewhat deserted, especially at night.

Overall, a pleasant stay!

Nice, comfortable and clean hotel with a very good breakfast (excellent coffee). Maybe not so much a 4 star but an upper 3 star though.
Location was good, just a 15 minute walk from a tube station with connections to the whole city. Not exactly in the city centre but easy to get to and from.
We were placed in the 11th floor and the view over the city was fabulous.
Unfortunately in the same floor and the floor above was a group of noisy teenagers that woke us up in the middle of the night, every night. Maybe not so much the hotel's fault but it didn't quite play to it's favour.

Overall, a pleasant stay.

Hated it!!!

As a single woman travelling alone I hated this hotel. I didn't feel safe here. The room was uncomfortable - the air con was poor which meant sleeping with the windows open. I would never have booked this myself and regret using the secret hotel selector. It was also supposed to be close to the Garibaldi station. I don't call a 13€ taxi ride close by!!

Even though it says its a 4 star hotel, but the accredition system of the hotels are out of date, many european hotels are no longer up to the level of what they claimed to be.
the hotel isn't really bad, but it sure isnt great.
its far away from subway station, like almost a km, and its not really in an interesting area, nor it is safe.
I had a room with bad air conditioning initially, the italian summer is really hot, so I had to ask for a change, and they did change my room with no problem, so I am not gonna bad mouth about their services.
the breakfast is decent, nothing fancy, but some dishes taste pretty good.
overall though, I say it would fit a 3 star hotel back in North America, so make up your mind.

Good hotel for getting to Malpensa

Very nice clean hotel with polite staff. I needed very early morning taxi, which the front desk called for me - taxi was there within 5 minutes - 12 euros to train station. Only minor complaint is that the air conditioner was bit tired and therefore only provided moderate output. But overall a good experience.

The building is old but the room is clean and confortable. The minus factors about the room for me are as follows - 1) Power or refrigerator in the room is very weak, you cannot make your beverage cold enough. 2) A water pressure of a shower in the bathroom also weak. You can wash your body but maybe you cannot feel so good. Other things are OK.
The hospitality of hotel staffs are good. The location is also good in case if you can use public transportation well. For your information, A station of S line (Lancetti - train station) 5min. walk, Subway station 10 - 15 min. walk, and there are bus station also close. Lancetti station is next to Garibaldi station which is most convenient station in Milan.

For the price it was ok.
When I arrived the Receptionist checked me in whilst on the phone, although she was pleasant and friendly.
Breakfast quality only average.
It was cold in Milan and the bedroom was cold in the evenings. I had to leave the fan heater on all night which gave me dry lips!

Pleasent stay

Good value for money, big breakfast - a lot of sweets (maybe some other foods would be good). 10 minute walk from the underground station. Friendly and helpfull staff. Good restaurant on the street behind the hotel - small prices and friendly staff.

Best Western Milton Hotel - conveniently situated

We were very pleased with our stay, the hotel is very near to Linate airport to where we flew into Milan. The hotel was quitely situated up a side road, clean and staff helpful and friendly. We were attending a gig at Alcatraz which is literally under 10 minute walk. I would not hesitate booking up this hotel again

Milton - a good place to stay

The Hotel offers gret rates and in the same time the level of service is high enough. Good , rich breakfast, clean and good looking rooms. I would definetely use this hotel again ;)

Acceptable but take note

Been here twice in one month. Staff is professional and helpful. Room is clean but has overpowering perfume. Comfortable beds, reasonably new carpet and fittings. Breakfast is all you can eat with huge variety of choices, but taste-wise quite bland.

Located quite far away from centre of Milan but still conveniently located for public transport. About 10-15min walk from Lancetti station or 5-10mins to bus stop (90 or 91) to and from city centre. Travel by public transport to and from city centre is about 20mins, depending on if you take the bus or metro, metro needs changing, usually at Garibaldi.

NOTE: the neighbourhood is not the best especially at night, OK for daytime. Definitely NOT recommended for single female to walk from bus stop or metro back to the hotel at night, taking a taxi should be OK. Street is quite dark and usually there are suspicious people hanging around at night.

quite family getaway

The hotel was very easy to find if you know how to use the Metro. It was about 5blocks from where the metro stop was. We really liked the breakfast , the breakfast staff was so accomondating. The price was very reasonable for this hotel. We also had to get a rollaway bed , which they brought in very quickly, but the slats broke in the middle of the night, we could of got it changed but we were leaving that morning. The hotel was clean and comfortable, except for the shower curtain, it had a musky, sour smell, like it never dried out enough. That would be something to let hotel know about, next time, but we were there for a short time, and kept on forgetting to let them know. All in all we would stay there again, we liked it.

I loved this hotel. The staff where friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet great, location is good if you're up for walking and the room was fantastic. One problem I had and it might just have been us, I was eaten alive by mosquitoes and possibly bed bugs, I woke up with bumps everywhere and told hotel staff about it but didn't see what was done about it as it was the end of our stay. Just a warning.
