Really enjoyed our few days at Roma Luxus. The staff are wonderful. They are so friendly and helpful! We had lunch in the hotel twice which was lovely. The service is exceptional. The hotel is modern, clean and wonderfully decorated. A great location - everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were superb, as were the adjoining restaurant staff.
The in-house breakfast ladies are very accommodating and efficient.
Reception and lounge are lovely but our room (302) certainly was not of 5star quality. Everything needs a proper deep clean, especially the bathroom (including the walls and doors). Battered and broken furniture needs to be replaced, and the walls need repainting. Definitely wouldn’t recommend or rebook.

Fabulous boutique hotel in the heart of Rome. The main sights are either walkable or within a close by bus route. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Only had breakfast and it was super with a wide variety of freshly prepared produce and cooked to order menu.
Would highly recommend!

I chose this hotel specifically because it had a free airport shuttle but upon checking in they informed me that they no longer had a shuttle and that I could call at cab at my own expense. The hotel was expensive so in my opinion it was not worth the money to stay there.

Every single employee at the hotel has greeted us and treated us with great kindness for the past three days. Actually, one of the waiters is going to do some research with me in Costa Rica in November.
Of the hundreds of hotels where I have stayed, this is by far the best in terms of service. The staff go above and beyond. They treat us with exceptional kindness.

This property is NOT a 5 star property.

The air conditioner didn't cool our room.
There was no desk or area to sit and write in the room.
Shower drain was slow & maybe clogged.
The carpet was stained & the room smelled like a food odor that was not from us.

Thankfully, we were only there to sleep for night to catch a plane.

This was our 2nd stay at tge Roma Lucus, and we thoroughly loved our stay. I booked a family room, and was a bit disappointed as it was just 2 adjoining rooms (small) no sitting area or chairs, and you had to lay on the bed in the room, so that was a bit disappointing as it is a pricey hotel, but all in all it all went smoothly and it had a/c which we were great cul for. It location is central , just steps to the forum, Palestine Hill, the colosseum and Trevi Foutian. Taxi’s are plentiful, and many fun eateries within walking distance. Would stay again, but I’ll ask lots more questions about the room, chairs are a must.

The hotel staff was so helpful and welcoming during our three day stay in Rome. The bed and pillows slept so well. The hotel room had a great view of a Roman church with windows that completely open for fresh air. The hotel breakfast was hands down one of the Best I’ve ever had in Europe. We wanted so much to like this property. The location was great and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. There were just a few things that made the experience a little unnerving.

First off we had a few weird experiences with people trying to enter our room. The room does not have a deadbolt or way to lock it from the inside, and does not have a \"do not disturb\" sign. One day we were getting out of the shower and changing and someone knocked, and before we could answer, immediately began entering the room. I had to scream stop before the opened the door and found us in our birthday suits! We also had people trying to drop off room service we didn't order, and issues with fire alarms going off in the hallway.

The hotel is nice, clean and close in proximity to a lot of tourist spots in Rome. Overall very good. The driver associated with the hotel on the other hand is awful. Reckless driver, texts while driving very fast and scammed us out of more money upon arriving at our destination.

This is FARRRR away from 5 star property. Maybe during Rome Empire not now. Friendly staff but peppery is dirty and bathroom mold. As soon as we checked in we told them we w stay only 1 night to cancel the rest do to give circumstances and they still have not issued a refund even tho I notified them day on time. I am still waiting for my refund and looks like I will have to dispute. At the check out following morning was different staff that blamed new management and system doesn’t let them issue refund right a way but they will process it but it NEVER HAPPENED. This is a 3 star hotel but far away from 5

Myself and my husband really enjoyed our stay here - the staff were polite, professional and accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose from. Our bed sheets and towels were changed daily. Close to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novona and The Pantheon; it’s very central so a great location. If I was to visit Rome again, I would definitely stay here.

The location of this property was AMAZING!!! Right in the middle of so many historical sights! Staff was accommodating and kind, and they speak English which was a HUGE plus if your from the Unites States and don't speak a lick of Italian. Only compliant was the bathroom had a lot of black mold around the tile which is concerning for anyone in general let alone anyone with health issues. It was a clean bathroom just mold.

I would not recommend the “Italian” breakfast, but if you just ask for what you want, its nice. This isn’t the hotel you read about in a review from a few years back!! Great location tho.

Fantastic location and the 2 bedroom family suite was amazing - so much space!!! Only downside is the breakfast- we paid extra
For it and the photos looked amazing. But we couldn’t do the buffet due to COVID which was fine but we ordered poached eggs and waited and waited. Then they told us they couldn’t do poached eggs (???) but they could do scrambled. We said fine and waited some more. After an hour (!), we said we had to go as we only had a few hours in Rome. They said fine but no apology or refund. So we paid a lot of money for a coffee and water and a bit of fruit....and a waste of an hour. What kind of hotel can’t manage eggs??!!!

We could not get the thermostat to go below 24 deg C 75 Deg. F. When we opened the window the restaurant was below it so it was too noisy. They staff was great it was just the room temperature for sleeping was too hot for us. we missed that there was a $112 city fee that had to be paid in cash but we were able to work it out when leaving. Great location we walked to the Sistine chapel, Trevi Fountain, and Colosseum so location was great.

the location of this hotel makes it an excellent place for a touristic visit to Rome. A couple of things caused inconvenience, there is no 'desk' as such in the bedroooms to work where a laptop could be plugged in (although the wifi signal and speed are excellent. There is a lack of plugs in the rooms for all the electrical clutter we need to have with us on holiday to stay in touch, recharge things etc.
The breakfast was OK but only on the fourth morning of a four night stay did we have pointed out to us that we could have one of the cooked breakfast options, the wording implied to us Brits that it wasw always an extra charge!
we expected that for a 5 star hotel a complimentary bottle of water would be each day not one for 4 days1

Hotel was very close to Roma Termini. About a 10-15 minute walk but if you prefer taxi it’s about 6-10 euros. Was also within walking distance to coliseum. Hotel was very clean. They do provide you with ear plugs for the night since it is loud outside during the night. As well if you need a taxi the staff downstairs is able to call one. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and I would recommend staying here. Felt safe and comfortable.

Hotel is in a great location--very close to the Colosseum. Staff was amazing--friendly and helpful. The rooms, meh. The bathroom doesn't have any shelf space for laying out items to get ready; no desk or other easy space for items during the stay. For the price, probably OK given central location.

Positive points:
-Very good location: walkable distance from lots of POI in Rome
-Really nice breakfast with pastries, fruits, panna cotta etc. (not the plain usual English breakfast)

Negative points:
-Wifi is really bad on the 3rd (last) floor
-Pictures are not fully reliable: Actually we were disappointed by our room (Superior, on the last floor) because we were expecting a room similar to the pictures displayed on the Expedia website.
But only pictures of rooms on the other floors are shown (because they are more beautiful I guess). The rooms on the displayed pictures have in common to show lots of light, to be colorful and to have high ceiling which is sadly not the case for at least the room we had on the last floor...
-Earplugs (provided) may be required to sleep, especially on Saturday night...

I’m a bit indifferent about our stay. The air conditioning wasn’t really working in our room 305. They did bring a fan to our room. I’m not sure if the a/c wasn’t cranking because it was literally 100 degrees every day while we were there. However, the hotel is cute and in a great location. Walking distance to the Spanish Steps,Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and Pantheon.

The room they gave us at check in had black mold growing up all four corners of the shower, along the glass door track, and on the bathroom ceiling. The room was painted a dark gray, had black carpet and black drapes. The carpet looked as though it had not been vacuumed for a very long time. Really creepy. Had to spend the first night in this room as they had no vacancies. The other room we moved into was too hot. Would not recommend this hotel. Not like any other 5 star property we have stayed at. Had gallon size diffusers on each floor. Not sure what odors they were covering up. Possibly the black mold. The smell from the diffuser hits you in the face when you walk in the front door. It is a boutique hotel but looks like Hildi on Trading Spaces decorated it.

They had terrible over priced chicken cutlets (aka chicken nuggets) and lasagne room service food. However the stay was great room and balcony and very quirky but our type of hotel. Great sushi bar below and the staff Ultra friendly!
