The hotel is dated for sure. Black mold in the shower. The airport shuttle is a hot mess. A Hampton Inns van showed up with an Abercorn Hotel decal on the side so I hopped in and the driver went to the Hampton Inn and shut it down. Another couple and myself were confused by this and the almost rude driver pulled out a sheet of paper with the hours it serves Abercorn. We were outside of those hours but had no clue because the hours were tucked away in a seat pocket. Take the sticker of the unit if not used. The shuttle to the airport the next day wasn't much better.

Very disappointed that they advertise airport shuttle but it stops at 9:00 pm. $30 for taxi to get there. Couldn’t get the shuttle back to the airport in the morning unless we left 1 hour earlier than we needed to be there. Didn’t feel like the hotel was clean.

I had a really comfortable stay. Staff are really nice and the room was mainly clean. The only issue I had was my shuttle I hoped to be in, in the morning was full as it is shared with other hotels. Got an uber and it was fine but it would be good if they had their own shuttle.

I arrived late at night to check in, only to be told that I had no reservation on file. They had taken my money, but then proceeded to rent my room to customers who booked direct.
The receptionist told me as much: \"the system sometimes doesn't see third-party bookings\"
He was apologetic but was completely unable to help because there were no available rooms. He suggested getting in touch with managers the next morning. Meanwhile I had to resort to searching for a last-minute room (none available in the area) and ended up needing to stay at a hostel far off in the suburbs.
I was able to get a refund the next day, but needless to say no compensation for the stress, inconvenience, discomfort of a hostel stay, and extra cab fare to get back to the airport in the morning.

I was staying there one night on my way to Mexico and it was so comfortable I decided to book again, we had a different room the second time and the bed was even more comfortable. The airport shuttle showed up at 9:45 pm but the driver said he couldn’t take me to the hotel because the hotel only pays this 3rd party shuttle from another hotel close by until 9pm even though this shuttle driver was driving right back with no one on it! I then had to walk down to the taxi area at arrivals and pay $25 to get to the Abercorn hotel. The have refused to give me the $25!! Cheap hotel management! Stay somewhere else… I won’t be back!

Room was fine. Checkin went great. Reserved a shuttle bus for the morning. 5:30 AM. Recieved a phone call at 4:55 stating the bus was there. Rushed to the lobby to find we had missed the bus. Informed the clerk we had reserved the 530 bus and was advised that bus was full and we needed to order an uber. Not to happy about that since we picked this spot specifically because of the shuttle. The shuttle arrives and there is 1 person who was getting on. Suddenly they found our reservation and we were allowed on. Cancelled my uber, which i was charged a canselation fee. On a good note. The staff were were very friendly. Just a bit unorganized. We did recieve a very good bagged take away breakfast. Honestly, would i go back. Probably not. But things could have been worse.

I am gluten free and the hostess ran to bring cereal, bread and even a toaster reserved for gluten free! The dining room was bright and comfortable and clean. I loved the Scottish theme throughout the hotel. It was delightful! I will go there again! AND it was good value for money! Also an easy walk to the Bridgeport station in the morning for sky train or bus!

Hotel itself was good, did have issues with not having our shuttle in the morning or coming back. I do understand we were delayed with our plane coming back, but when we were leaving on our trip. somehow they didn't have the promised seats for us. But they paid for the cab, which was decent of them. Also while we were in the air there were two charges made on one of our credit cards, which we found strange as everything was all paid for. When we got back (taking another cab) the clerk was very confused with our stay, but then somehow cleared it all up. He asked for asked for my DL, and then tired and frustrated we left to go back home to Pitt Meadows and half way realized that my DL was still at the Hotel, it was not returned. So we came home and dropped our family off and then my spouse drove all the way back to retrieve it. Even though I called the Hotel to tell them he was coming the clerk still asked him for his DL?

Everthing was dirty from the moment you stepped in from doors, windows, elevators, still had cheap xmas decorations up. Both toilet paper holders were broken. Toilet tank leaked. Filty fridge. Unacceptable. Like everyone gave up on the olace. We locked out of the hotel for 5 minutes and a hotel guest let me in as no one was at the front desk. Place is litered with rats outdoors. Do better.

I used the shuttle from YVR to the hotel. Most shutttles are easy to identify because they have large signage across the front of the bus so we can see who it is that is approaching. In your case, you share with another hotel which has their name on the front. On the side near the rear you have a very small, one foot by two feet sign. It is hard to read and can only be read when the shuttle is going past you. This happened even though I ran onto the street at the last second to stop the driver. He wasn't even looking for passengers, looking at the road. I used the call phone to the front desk, Ist call: no answer. 2nd call, your clerk was completely unconcerned I'd missed the shuttle. Could not even tell me when it would return until I made a third call. It was very cold and I had to stay outside so I wouldn't miss the next trip. At check in I asked is there was some compensation, say $30 refurnd for the inconvenience. Her reply, No refund. So two things, Can you fix the signage so WE can see it approaching, not as it goes past us. Second, Is there a credit or something you could provide to me? I even took a picture of the inadequate sign on the shuttle, If you want me to I can send it to you. John
