Basic motel room, parking out front. TV either didn't work or I couldn't figure it out. Hot water subject to use by other guests, heat worked well. Bed was very good, rest full night's sleep.

While the suite was renovated, the sheets were dirty, the room wasn’t cleaned and the room stink of cigarettes. We left after the first night and found other accommodations.

Clean room, good location. Had issue with the electronic lock, and door of my room was opened when I arrived. I tried to call, text and e-mail to fix the issue, I never got a reply. I had to figure it out by myself, several hours later.

Room was like an icebox had a portableheater to heat the entire room. I parked in front of our room and the room next to us parked in front of thier room, lucI had an SUV I had to go over the lawn to get out and pack up the vehicle.

The Maple Leaf is in a great location, walking distance to several restaurants and quick drive to many others. We stayed on 2 different nights over a 5 day time period and both of the rooms we were given were clean and we did not lack for any basics. Beds were comfortable, sheets soft, and both the a/c & heating units were efficient and quiet. Parking was right in front of each room.
The check-in was smooth and simple and they went above and beyond to provide us with a much needed early check-in for one of our stays.
Would not hesitate to stay at the Maple Leaf should we visit the area again!

Overall a clean room but didn’t look like the pictures (the picture for the basic room had 2 king beds) and this just had one full bed which was a bit cramped. Good walking distance to lake placid downtown.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed one night at this motel to enjoy the beautiful fall colors. The location is perfect, about a 10-minute walk to Mirror Lake, where there are lots of shops and restaurants.

The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated having a large TV, a fridge, and a microwave. Everything was spotless.

There’s no front desk, you receive a code and room number before your arrival, which makes check-in super easy and convenient.

Great location and very good value for the price. We’ll definitely stay here again! 🍁

Absolutely thrilled with this property! Renovated, well appointed, clean and comfortable with unreal level of customer service that rivals (or actually beats) any major hotel chain I’ve ever used. Contactless check-in worked perfectly. Terrific location, reasonable rates, definitely staying here again! It’s like the best of a small town or roadside motel but with all the modern conveniences you could want. Recommended!

Very basic room with 2 beds, small fridge and microwave. We appreciated having both a heating and cooling system since temps can range from 30 - 80 degrees in a day. Bathroom was well stocked with towels. Spent most of our days hiking so this was a nice place to relax!

The room we booked was extremely spacious, very clean, parking was ample, and the king beds were very comfortable. This was my first self-check in and did not receive the text with room number and pin lock access code. Communicating via Expedia was not effective or timely. There is nobody on site to assist and had to find another person staying there to message the manager. Once i was in, the stay was great. House keeping is on site only from 9am to 3pm and by request only. We were out of supplies and messaged the owner and they sent somone out to drop off toileties. Amazing service!! There was also a small freezer/fridge and microwave which was great for our 1 week stay.

It was a very nicely remodeled room and very comfortable. Property owner was very nice and responsive to my questions. However, the ceiling was leaking from the room upstairs, there was barely any water/water pressure one of the mornings I was there, and the WiFi signal was very poor so we could not stream any tv when we had downtime.

Arrived at the inn and wasn’t able to check in. Said our room was not a clean room and it had to be cleaned. Called management and they said there was no booking and there are no rooms available. Called Expedia to attempt to get refund and they did not cancel or initiate a refund and said it would take 3 days and they’d have to get in contact with management. Terrible situation as we had to find a new place and my credit card was charged for the room.

Simple and clean

They just need to fix the doors to the rooms. No privacy noise wise. I can hear the neighboring rooms TV clear as day in my room. I was fine, but I'm sure I woke them up when leaving early in the morning going up and down the creaky stairs. Just need some heavier more air tight doors. Also, trim the tree in the parking lot so people can pull their vehicles all the way in without scraping branches on their cars. Otherwise, very clean and very simple. Just what I needed.

Great location, just half a mile from lake mirror and Main Street. The amenities in the room, cleanliness and the space inside the suite with parking facilities were great.
It’s a small property and undergoing renovation as of July 2025. Very thin walls and ceiling. Can hear every nail drop, footsteps and people’s voices from outside too. I guess that’s the compromise for the prices they were available at since the room itself was great and the location too.

Loved this motel. There was nobody onsite. All the communication was excellent, very helpful, and greatly appreciated. Made this trip a breeze. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a freshly remodeled bathroom. Great shower! We would most definitely stay here again!

The room was very \"simple\" yet extremely clean. The crisp white room and bed made it a very pleasing environment. Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom seemed newly tiled with very nice fixtures.

No room key necessary because we were sent a code to enter our room. Restaurants are within walking distance.

Expedia was supposed to contact the property and cancel my booking due to an error that I immediately saw after booking the wrong night on expedia's confusing sight. I did not check in because I did not stay here, but got charged despite calling the property and leaving a message and also asking expedia to handle this on chat (which they assured me they would try to take care of but still have not)

If i could give them a negative score i would . this place is a dump! the floors are very dirty. while they clean the floor they cant be cleaning the mop.(see pics). multiple rooms are like this. the microwave buttons dont work, the AC doesnt work well, the water never gets warmer than warm, they only give you 3 cups for your entire stay. one day i returned after they moped the floor and the floor was so slick i did a yard sail - lunch went flying in one direction, my cell in another and everything else in another. i have a pretty bad bruise that i need to go see a dr for tomorrow. we stayed there because people said it was pretty good. believe me - its not worth it. oh - the entertainment was scary - a couple was shouting outside for about 3 hours. was waiting for the police to come any minute. RENOVATIONS started in Feb 2025. still nowhere near done. Pool doesnt look like it will open this year and there is no jacuzzi or hot tub.

it was priced reasonably for the Lake Placid area and it was a good location. They were skimpy on the bath towels, there wasn't a floor mat or hand towels or wash cloths just a pair of bath towels. Also. it took a while the get the TV working as it took some steps to get it done. They should have the instructions on the TV to help future people who stay there and a list of the Apps that worked would be nice also instead of having the try each one to see if the hotel had a subscription or not. There was a lot of light coming in both windows even with the shades down which woke me up early every morning no breakfast either but there was a McDonalds about 4 minutes walking distance away other than that it did the job but for some very inexpensive little things this could have been a better stay for future travelers.

Good value. I had room 5, that had a renovated bathroom. The style in the bathroom was really beutiful and well above average on a place like this. Unfortunately the water pressure was really low in the shower.
Also the bedroom was fixed up.
A short walk to the dining at main street.

Can’t beat the price-the room is clean and the bathroom is updated, and we got two queen beds, not just full size beds. If I didn’t find a few really long hairs in the shower, and that it was not very easy to have the digital door lock to work, I would have given this Inn five stars for what I paid for.
