The entire reason I reserved this particular hotel was to use the hot tub after a long day skiing. It was not the cheapest option for sure, but the pics showed that nice hot tub. Imagine my surprise when I checked in and the hot tub was not working! The hotel itself was fine, although the beds and the overall vibe are a little tired. I certainly expected more for the amount of money I spent to stay a night.

Both hot tubs were out of order, and you could tell that they had been. This was not listed on the website, and we were not told until we check-in it. When I asked how long, the staff said for a few months. She said Marriott was working on it. You could tell that no one work wasing on it. This is always a selling point for us, very disappointing. There was not ice machine on the 4th floor and some of the gym equipment was broken.

Enjoyed our stay, service was very fast. Whenever we called, they were there within minutes for all of our needs. Our kids loved the pool and was pretty cool having a Starbucks inside of the hotel. Stayed for training in the Olympic village which was just minutes away.

Fantastic option, bed was extremely comfortable! Great room, shower was awesome, but the staff really made this experience a winner. Everyone we talked to was fantastic, helpful, pleasant and competent even when it was very busy. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Also, while it isn't necessarily in a walkable area, it is on the OTHER side of Lake Placid, closer to the ski jump, which makes it that much easier to hit the loj or head toward keene for hiking without having to battle the town traffic.

We stayed one night at the hotel for a hiking trip. The hotel is in a great location but it is not within walking distance of the shops in Placid. It’s is clean, quiet, safe and reasonably priced. We didn’t get to use many of the amenities because we were out before breakfast. There wasn’t a fire in the fire pit and looked there wasn’t one in a while. The pool had both hot tubs broken. Once fixed the pool would be great. The weight room was small but had the stuff to get in a decent workout if interested.
The best part of the hotel was its staff. They were very accommodating and helped us with some issues. Everyone I encountered was very friendly.
Overall, I’d 100% stay there again. It was quiet, clean, and safe. There’s a friendly staff, plenty to do and it’s close to everything in Placid.

The hotel was cleanish, idk…there was just something about it that seemed to make it look less than. Maybe lighting or the main carpets. The very front entrance had, without a doubt, the most streaked windows ever. The windows five feet later were spotless.

My wife and I stayed from Thursday thru Sunday, Thursday was very quiet Friday wasn't to bad but Saturday night was obnoxiously loud from the bar area until at least 2 am I would definitely suggest staying on the 4th floor so this noise is not as much of a issue.

Smell when we arrive, \"clean\" towels with black long hair, door alarm with flashing lights sound couple times, last night we had fire alarm at 4 am and we tried call reception and we realized phone didn't work... one of our rooms (we had four) at arrive had half made bed with dirty bedsheets. I except better quality from Marriott... coffee shop didn't had lids for coffee cups no one told us that at ordering \"to go\"

Not Hiker friendly. Both nights we were awoke by hockey kids running up and down halls. Saturday was the worst at 11 pm called the front desk. No problem will take care of it. 11:30 the kids were still in stairwell next to our room then running down and banging on door including ours. Called front desk again and was told he couldn’t leave the desk to deal with the kids. He refused to call his manager and have them come out to help eliminate the problem. But the parents were all in the bar area if I’d like to talk to them. So I went to front desk and was pointed in the direction of 18 parents which I had to get their attention and inform them of the problem. Only one parent stood up and left to go upstairs. The rest were deer in the headlights approach.

This property was in a great location. It's not near the lake but close to town and parking was included. The rooms are a little dated and will soon need updating, but the overall property is well maintained and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. A little peeling wallpaper in the bathroom was the only real eyesore. Overall, a great value.

Lovely hotel
Handicap room bathtub did not have any rubber matting or anything to prevent slipping. Had to step over and into the tub for a shower. Also room next to ours the alarm went off at 6am and rang for almost 2 hours. Had to call front desk to turn off. Everything thing else was great! Staff at the Bistro was Great!
