The front desk smelled of a very strong parfum that just gave me a headache. Luckily it did not carry to the rest of the hotel. The hotel room itself was ok. Though the toilet paper was like sandpaper. They provided a kettle in the room but it needs cleaning.
They had a bar and lounge, we had a gulasch soup and a pizza. The soup was good but a tiny portion.
The front desk staff were very nice too. Btw hotel is about 20 minutes walk from Old Town Freiburg.

I was a bit disappointed with this hotel. I don’t think it was as good as other Premier Inns I’ve stayed in. The room wasn’t terribly comfortable, the sofa bed we needed definitely wasn’t. The shower was poor and while I understand that you don’t need the room cleaning everyday it’s no fun waiting at reception to ask for more loo roll! I am sorry to write a less than positive review but this hotel was not a great part of our holiday - but the lovely city made it worth it.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We found all the people we met in Freiburg to be very friendly and helpful. It was so enjoyable we hope to return one day. The Christmas Market has a very special atmosphere.
The Swartzer Kater was definitely the best pub food in town!

This property suited my needs near perfectly. Luxurious accommodations are not necessary for me but clean and cozy is something I appreciate while traveling. The small room and bathroom had a simple clean feel and was perfect for me as I was traveling alone. I was informed that there was a small continental breakfast included. I felt that breakfast was more than satisfying with many options to be creative each day. I loved making breakfast sandwiches! I enjoyed the 10-15 walk to town and did not feel that it was too far. There are not any restaurants within the immediate vicinity but this was not a problem for me. The mattress was a bit firm, but again not a big problem for me. I would most definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The room was clean and in good condition. 20 minute walk to shopping area. Breakfast was good but very crowded. Parking was extremely limited. The bed was not comfortable at all. We left a night early and returned home due to back pain caused by the bed springs. I'm a IHG rewards club member and have not had this type of problem at any other location.

The hotel is modern and adequate. The room was good and the service very good.. The location is not so good, but there are good communications by tram to the city centre abd bus to the main railway station. The breakfast is ok, but a little to simple.

The staff was friendly and helpful. However, check in was very slow because there was only one person (who was professional, friendly and calm) at the desk. There was a good variety of food for breakfast, but again not enough staff. There was often not enough basics like eggs and buns and we had to wait for more from the kitchen, and there was usually only one person clearing tables. Eating area is on the small side for the size of the hotel. The staff was great. In general, though, there was an understaffing problem. In order to offer stellar service, you have to have enough staff to provide service.

The location is near the railroad tracks.
The room is very small and when you are not careful
you could bang your head against the TV.
There is no desk to work on and when there are two occupants
they have to fight over the one chair available. I prefer not to drink
thee or wine on the hotel bed. I cancelled the second night immediately
during a call to Expedia. Expedia did not want to give a refund!!
Talking to hotel manager didn't produce any results besides that he
sympathizes with the request for a refund. It was the responsibility
of Expedia. The last time to use Expedia for my travels!!!!

Close to the train station (10min walk), clean room, continental breakfast provided, WiFi good.
Only downside was the cleaners knocking on the door at 9.30am which was frustrating when we wanted a lie in having arrived late. Didn’t expect this when you’re only there one night and check out isn’t until later. Might be a German thing as it happened at another hotel around a similar time. Learnt to use the ‘Do not disturb’ sign!

also we were \"SCAMMED\" by your clerk as she said she would provide free drinks IF we reused our towels and AGREED only to discover they also wont service the room at ALL!

The hotel met all of our basic needs. The hotel is relatively new so the shower and room were in good condition. We had some young children in our party so the European breakfast didn’t go over very well; most adults were ok with it. The doors and walls are thick and noise was not an issue.

The maid there followed us out of our room, she barged in our room after we let the door shut. She thought we had stolen something. It was a weird and very uncomfortable feeling.

Nice hotel, close to train station

Convenient location. I was a little concerned about being next to the train tracks. Having never been to Germany, I did not realize the trains are electric and very quiet. Our room was next to the train tracks and I could not hear it when it passed by. The parking is not guaranteed, but there seemed to be plenty of spaces. The walk to the shopping/eating part of town was not very far.

The hotel appears new, and is in a very central location. My room was well insulated and very quiet with no noise from the hallway or even from the adjacent railroad tracks. There was a brochure in the room about the design, which was basically comfortable with a large bathroom, couch and desk. However considering the size of the room there was little room to put things, just a narrow closet and no drawers. Breakfast was included and was fully up to the very high standards of German hotels. Wi-Fi worked well enough, but required you to constantly log in with your name and room number and agreement to their conditions. I probably did so 15 times in a 3-day stay.

Parking was expensive and very limited. We were told we could take the car out, but they didn’t advise it as someone else would take our spot.

Beds were hard. The room was hot and the ac didn’t do anything.

Breakfast was below average- very limited selection.

WiFi was decent. The staff were curteous, though not overly helpful.

Overall, I would not choose to stay here again.

Excellent, as was the attitude of the staff, but just needs a little tweeking by management. First, there was no visible lighted signage as to hotel location from the main road. Garage instructions need to be specifically addressed by reception, do not assume everywhere is the same. Each region and country does it differently, so instructions are welcome by the guest.

Not a single bad thing to say. Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, staff was professional and pleasant.

The free breakfast was better than the breakfast I paid for at a previous hotel (Dorint).

Also, HDE is in walking distance to both old town and the marketplace.

Will definitely stay there on my next trip through!

You can walk from the station to the hotel if you travel light, or you can take a bus, 1 stop then you are there. Probably because the hotel is new, so there is a feel and smell of new.

A bit walk from station but very clean hotel

We stayed for a few days and the hotel is very nice. Breakfast is good and Freiburg is generally very nice. The hotel is like 15-20 mins walk away from station and it could be a bit far for elderly. However overall is great.

Clean, comfortable, a good walk to town though.

A little further out of town than we would have liked as in the heat it was a little bit more effort to walk in to the centre. Parking was good if you get there early, it was very busy later in the evening (mainly used for business) so maybe not an issue at weekends. Breakfast was good. Air conditioning wasn't super cold but certainly made it more comfortable. The lifts in the mornings are a nightmare, just take the stairs.

Very nice hotel. It is brand new and as such is very clean and has a few nice touches such as USB charger in one of the outlets. Choose a room that faces away from the railway for noise reasons. My stay was in the summer and if you open a window it could get noisy from a few people hanging out under. Hotel does have real A/C. Big bonus if hot ourside. But the place seems well built so I did not need it. Staff is nice but just enough. Some are much better. Wish: change up the food for breakfast. I know it's included but when staying 5 days, same stuff for breakfast gets old very fast. Did not have a car but seems there were some woes with parking. Probably because it's new and new door construction. But would definitely stay again.

It was a bit of a walk to the city centre, probably about 20 minutes, but aside from that it was great! Very new and clean, comfortable rooms. Only suggestion would be to change how the breakfast was laid out, it got a bit crazy with no flow and lots of bottleneck. That being said, if my only complaint is that it took an extra minute to get my coffee in the morning that's not so bad!

Die Einschätzung kommt durch den ersten Eindruck zustande. Beim einchecken fühlte ich mich nicht gerade willkommen. Keine richtige Begrüßung, Zimmerkarte wurde mir in die Hand gedrückt. Kein Hinweis auf den Weg zum Zimmer, kein Hinweis auf das Frühstück. Sonst habe ich gut geschlafen und das Frühstück war lecker. Nur der erste Eindruck trübte... Schade

Ich hatte ohne Frühstück gebucht.
Das Hotel ist ruhig, sauber, Zimmer sehr gut, das Personal sehr hilfsbereit.
Das Bier an der Bar hat geschmeckt,
das Personal trotz Personalmangel sehr freundlich. Kann man gern weiter empfehlen. Ich würde es wieder buchen. Auch hatte ich im Parkhaus einen Platz gefunden.
